I love this version. It's simple, smooth (not overwhelming to the ears), and slower, but still fast enough to get my foot rockin.
10 years old . Still one of the best covers on youtube ❤️
I like this one best. The melody is clear. The notes clean. Sometimes musicality wins out over speed. I truly sat back and enjoyed listening to this as much as you enjoyed playing it. Thanks.
Try it at 1.25 speed. You'll like it even more because it's closer to the original.
@@ayokay123 the best thing about this version is that it's not that fast. I like this one better.
Spot on speed for speeds sake, can ruin a good tune, Mean Mary plays fast but you can hear every note
This video was SO far ahead in the "multiple window style" which is commonplace now on TH-cam in 2021! Bravo!
Yeah, great tune. I do love the "speed" it is played in. You don't have to break speed records. Could hear it again and again.
This is really good. It's nice to hear it slowed down and in much crisper quality than in the Deliverance scene, but something about the speed and urgency in the movie makes it "that" much more special.
there is something unexplainably wonderful about the sound of a banjo. It always puts a rhythm in my soul.
The speed is great, I play a lot of folk and bluegrass and if one thing is for certain it's that smooth detail always wins over a fast mess.
You're quite welcome! Thanks for viewing the videos! I'm planning on getting a Christmas medley video up in the next day or so. Stay tuned!
I think the banjo is such an amazing sounding instrument. Mumford and sons use banjos in many of their songs and it sounds absolutely amazing!
just beautiful, i love all the little banjo bits
From Melbourne Australia, great stuff - love the music since forever.......
from someone just learning, thanks for making this both perfect and slow enough to get something from! Nice sounding guitar, too.
Thanks! And thanks for listening!
I watch this a dozen times every few years, love it.
Always come back to you guys , amazing from uk
Great video and great picking!
Amazing!!!!
I just loved it. Sooo talented both of you. Glad you have a venue to show case your skill.
One of the technically, best versions ive heard, played really well, helped me understand how the tune worked, thanks!
"need to get chased in a dodge charger increases"
Excellent
Probably the best rendition of dueling banjos I've heard. Thanks for posting!
Nicely done..beautifully played .. it's one of those great tunes that you never get tired of hearing... Thanks

This again is just splendid....
Sweet sweet music. Very well done....Loved it
Ohh man, beautiful. i wish i had the patiences to learn how to play :(
This is a really good cover of dueling banjos, but I would like to point out something. Guitar leads and banjo follows until they are being played together
I can watch this over and over again...bloody brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best speed ever! It delivers all the notes to its maximum best...............without rumbling against and over each other when it is fastened! Beautiful....!
this is a cool song. hasppy birthday, Joseph Thomas !!!!!
Actually a favorite of mine.
Joseph Thomas great! i had no idea.
Set speed 1.5 its perfect : )
1.25
After 25 years I finally put myself out to learn this fully and properly on guitar . Thanks for the great lesson . Just got to find a banjo player now .
I love how this video has been made, great stuff
The guy in red is way better ! :p
thats the dumbest thing anyone has ever said...
Dimitur Dimitrov hes joking mate haha
At least idiots are good at one thing. Making me laugh my ass off.
Mk43305 Too bad the "red shirts" never last : /
CHANGE SPEED TO 1.25 OR 1.5
true
Definitely 1.5
He plays that guitar FAST 😆😆
Love that tune, great banjo picking
Thanks so much for breaking this down so simply and not showing off with speed. Much appreciated!
I have a sudden desire to marry my cousin!!!
Who's stopping you?
Ned Luberecki An inbred man dancing to this song
jdld610 Ive never laughed so hard! and im from the south.
+jdld610 you say to one of the coolest banjo slash guitar pieces on Earth? ok, you are dumb! Go marry your cousin, because you need to !
***** OK OK OK! Simmer down! lol~
put 1.25 speed and you'll get decent music :) Thank me later.
+Chamelion Miller thx later :D
Chamelion Miller I'm sorry but I'm actually listening to good music. Speed doesn't mean better music, in fact, this was clearer and more enjoyable...
Its good music regardless but having this song played faster makes it sound so much better.
Chamelion Miller how do you change the speed?
I thought it was slow a year later and your still getting thanked
Lovely sound. Country music is one of my favorite genres especially bluegrass
Great sound, thx Ned Luberecki!
Gon' make you squeal like a pig boy!
Wow! I'd sell my soul to the devil to be able to play banjo like that!
I'm gonna try to do it the hard way, so maybe I can keep my soul to sell fro something else. =P
lol..I know a place that sells great shoes....!
so schwer zu spielen ist das nicht ;)
lol you must be a musician...
1046Fay yes indeed ;) you should watch a video of steve vai or buckethead playing, they are fast as hell.
That is a really beautiful version of the tune, so well played and clean! very impressive.
Ned, love listening to Bluegrass Junction on Sirius, thanks for keepin it alive and keepin it real!
I feel like I should marry my sister.
to slow...
Or not to slow?
+Kai Schmidt Just put it 1.5 speed :D
+Ned Luberecki That's the question
+DFK How did you do that? My computer won't let me. .5 is the best it can do, not that I need it.
i mean to.
was einfach und grob übersetzt zu langsam bedeutet du hornochse ^^
ou si vous avez un problème avec elle ?
of als u een probleem met het hebben?
By far the most enjoyable dueling banjo i have listened to..........gonna buy me a rocker an a spittoon and watch it again
Brilliant, glad I found this gem!
The one in the red shirt is extremely talented, however the guy in the blue shirt clearly isn't. I know about such things...
this is the same guy
I know, it was but a bad joke!
Beata Kwiatkowska *facepalm*
Nothing passes my keen eye or perfect pitch, I was born gifted...
Great talent being so fluent on both instruments !! Very nice instrumental !!
Bravo Ned's !!!

That was awesome! Thanks Ned! And... Ned!
Most excellent talent. You made me smile, thank you my friend.

That was great. I love the way that you played both instruments. The banjo work was unique and well distinguished. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful, a real musician playing great music, thanks pal.
Absolutely top notch! Note perfect!!!!
I'm just now learning banjo. Got my first one saturday july 14th at a local Bluegrass and pickers fest. I've been wanting one for years and now it's time to start practicing. I know some amazing Pickers that are helping me and I hope that by next year at the annual gathering I'll have enough practice in that I can join in on some of the Jams that gather around at the Festival. Great Video, thank you.
Wooooooooooooooooooeeeeeee! That there was some mighty fine picking and a digging!
Both you ONE guys are great...
I'm impressed!! Such a a joy to listen too! Well done fella(s) :-)
Thank you for doing this! I love this song!
If you had read the description, this was filmed for a guitar lesson website and is meant as a play-along for a beginning guitarist to learn to play the song. That's the reason it's not faster.
I love how lighthearted this is :)
Great job Ned!!!
Absolutely great !!!! Both of you !!! Best I have heard yet !!
Thanks! From both of me ;-)
Man that is awesome!!! I love it! Creative!!
Beautifully played and excelent sound quality. Congrats!
Thank you. I love it! "Both" of you are extraordinary players.

Great bit of playing x 2. Wel done, thoroughly emjoyed.
I enjoyed playing along with this. Thank you :)
Great playing really. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for posting.
that was the first time this song relaxed me.... very nice!
I really really enjoyed this video. Sometimes I thought I was seeing double.
Ned, one thing is for sure. You really "out did" yourself on this one.
My appreciation to both of YOU.
Yes, you are correct. This is a play along. It was shot as part of a guitar lesson teaching the guitar part to Dueling Banjos at the site guitar tricks dot com. It was played slowly so that beginning students could play along with it.
Very nicely done.
You guys are GREAT!!!!!!!!
These 2 guys are awesome!
I could listen to this all day long.
Great job guys !
