I will say using the 162 in a CAS/Ground battle roll has lost all its fun since they pointlessly removed the ability for planes to land and capture ground points. I do need to try it out again sometime soon though, that plane is a hoot to fly.

@@GrebogoborpI think it's been probably over a year now. I can't remember exactly as they removed it without saying anything in the patch notes about it. Just "No more fun for you."
I vaguelly remember them talking about returning it as a feature but I dont know if its back or not. Gotta try I guess.

You gotta feather the throttle a bit, you could have gotten that drift kill if you had cut engines on the stall and then slowly raised it back while fighting. He just had to maneuver to get you ahead of him because he’s a brick and you’re a glider. Just my two cents.

The 162 has always interested me simply due to its unique shape. Is the special version any better than the tech tree one?
The rare special version has 2 x 30mm guns. The tech tree version has 2 x 20mm guns.
It's not really an upgrade as you barely have any ammunition and the velocity of the 30 mm rounds is not that good but it does mean it takes only a couple of rounds to destroy anything :)

Last time I played the 162 it overheated if you looked at it wrong. I kind of want to try it again but feel like it's one of those planes that isn't at a fair BR
Normally you can run it at 104% and it won't overheat but if you push it to 106% then it will start to overheat.
If you're on a desert map it will overheat at 104% after a while but quickly dropping the throttle down for little bit solves it
