Looked a tough ol slog up to the summit ! The wee mod with the vestibule works a treat and makes it a workable space for cooking storage etc . Still a very atmospheric camp and good test of the gear. atb Dave

That sleeping mat is ridiculously comfortable. I absolutely hate my thermarest, but for mild nights, the Edeuoey winds hands down. Here's hoping the TPU coating is decent and it doesn't burst after several uses. Great video mate.

That Rab tent must be bigger than it looks. I got one of those mats and it wouldn’t fit in my gonex. Too long. I’ve got the review to upload. It was comfy though. Looked nice with the porch. And then a slog. I’d have went home 😂 👍

Great video. Love the gear reviews. I hear so much about midges, how do their bites compare to mosquitos? Wish I could get back to Scotland before I get too old to enjoy the outdoors. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⛰❤️

Midge bites swell but, on me, mosquito bites are worse. However, midges come in tens of thousands. I have inhaled them, not by choice, when they were really bad at the KIngshouse. One or two will find the spot you missed with the repellent. If you can resist scratching, the swelling will disappear after about an hour but it will persist if you scratch. So, the bit which you need to get with the repellent are wrists. A bite on the wrist gets rubbed by my shirt cuff and can itch for a couple of days. Here’s a drastic cure for midge bites. I was exposed to mosquitoes in the Philippines for 2 years of VSO and then went to NZ, where the sandflies really got me. Back home, midge bites did not react. Sadly, the effect wore off.

@@gordonmculloch4904 Usually not 😂 They tend to congregate in numbers and bite similarly. If I go out here at night for a few minutes I come back in with 5+ bites on exposed skin; legs, arms, etc.
