    Hi Gina! I watched your hot flash happening and my heart went out to you! They are such a pain. I am 65 and only last year went on HRT. Oestrogen and progesterone patches at first, in the summer they just fell off, so I use the oestrogen gel now and a pill which you won't need now. I have found that my flashes are a thing of the past which is so wonderful! I asked about testosterone, as I to thought that a wee bit of whoosh would be a good idea. However the Nurse advised against it, as I have has a triple conary bypass and she didn't want me chasing lone male dog walkers about the village! 😂😂 No weight gain with it; and no adverse effects on a1C levels either. Perfecto! 👍Give it a whirl, I don't stick to the bed linen anymore! 🎉 xx

      Hi Sandra! I am doing good with Mounjaro. So far, constipation is my only bad side effect and I am doing things to combat that so it isn't a problem. Drinking water is really helpful! Tomorrow I will be doing a Mounjaro Monday live at 5 pm AZ time which is 7 pm Central and 8 pm Eastern. You can message me in real time during the live and I will read your chat message and answer any questions, etc. during the live. I hope you can come!

    Congratulations on your weight loss! I may have missed it, but wondering how your daily glucose check is as well as your current A1c. Have you seen either of them drop after going on Mounjaro?

    • @AnchorMoments
      @AnchorMoments  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @user-eo8gj1lg7u Thank you! 😀 Yes my blood glucose has gone down with Mounjaro. I started at 7.2 a1c at the end of December 2023. I started on Mounjaro on January 10th, 2024. My a1c was tested again before I had a surgery around the beginning of April and it was 6.0. My cholesterol went down, too! It was 169 and went down to 131. 😀

      @@AnchorMoments Great News! Congratulations! I've been steady between 7.3 - 7.5. Dr wants me to try mounjaro but I've been very concerned about potential side effects, feeling nauseous, intestinal issues etc. I have other health issues and just not sure I want to add more! Getting BG down would be an incentive to try! Thank-you for responding!

      @@JudyEllington you are welcome! the key is to have over the counter meds available that you can take with your other current meds. That way if you do have a little bit of trouble with upset stomach or diarrhea or constipation, you take something for it. Usually the side effects do not last very long. If they do, you can always quit the medication. I am so happy with how mounjaro has helped me. I hope it helps you, too!

    I've been on mounjaro for 9 weeks 4 weeks at 2.5 and 5 weeks on 5. But it seems that it had stopped working and I'm now gaining weight. But I'm not eating more. I barely breaking 1k calories a day and most of that is from protein. I don't understand. I started at 224lbs last week i was down to 208. Now I'm up to 211.

    • @AnchorMoments
      @AnchorMoments  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Shari! Three things ... maybe you are holding water from sodium intake or female hormones. Maybe you are backed up a little bit in your intestines. Sometimes when we limit our calories to around 1,000, if we eat a little bit more one day like 1600 calories or so, our body will release weight again. My body fluctuates daily. Also a good night's rest also helps release weight due to your metabolism hormones. Don't worry yet. You are doing great! An average of one to two pounds a week is healthy weight loss. We usually lose a little bit quicker in the beginning, and then it slows down. Getting plenty of rest, water, fiber, protein, and some exercise helps. You got this! Keep me updated! I am here for you!

      @annahoover5296 thanks Anna! It dropped some trees and branches in our neighborhood but otherwise OK. I sent your friendly hello to Jeff! He came home after 9 pm. but was excited to say he completed the training videos he was creating for the school district. Now he has just 3 days left to train his replacement and then he is officially retired! Other than helping me create videos! 😀

    Do you have a goal weight

    • @AnchorMoments
      @AnchorMoments  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have 3 different goal weights...one that is definitely needed and I should hit, one that is my weight when my kids were little and I was overweight and the third one is a stretch goal that would get me closer to where I was when Jeff and I got married.

    • @AnchorMoments
      @AnchorMoments  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Each of those goal weights are 25 pounds apart and I have been each of those at different stages of my life.

    • @MindyMikami
      @MindyMikami 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AnchorMomentsI love the goal weight levels. I am adopting that thought process for my own goal(s)!

    • @AnchorMoments
      @AnchorMoments  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @MindyMikami Each level is doable and makes a difference! Easier to think about it one chunk at a time and a reason to celebrate along our journey!
