The RECON taillights are good looking lights, but they have a huge flaw. If you own these taillights, make sure the little 3 wire clip that connects the resistor pack is protected from the elements. You'll see it right away as it's the only connector that isn't weatherproof. Both my taillights failed within weeks of being installed as the non-weatherproof connector corroded away the ground pins. If you're getting "Turn Signal Failure" warnings on your DIC then this is what has happened.
Daaaaaamn, i got some other tail lights for my silverado and that exact same thing happened, AND my rear right running light is out but the brake lights work etc..sucks
Ditto, I ended up using die electric grease and problem hasn't happened again. For a $600+ light I'm not super thrilled with the quality. Almost returned it twice
I just installed these yesterday. I pulled the led bed lights out to make it easier to remove the wire harness. The new recons were pretty easy to install. The passenger side bottom pin was hard to push into place.
Just wanted to comment and say I've been watching since baby squat and to say thanks for uploading the part installation videos! They helped me getting parts on my 2020 chevy crew cab long bed and the confidence to do most of the work myself! Keep the vids coming bro! 🤘
Love the truck. These were the first 3 mods I did to my 22 refresh black rst. Made a big difference in the look of the truck. Also did the door pillars in gloss black like you did on stormtrooper. That should be the next thing. Mine came with matte black exhaust tips so I had them powder coated gloss black. Your father-in-laws truck looks great
I'm probably ur fil age and I'd have no interest in the new twilights or the cover over the front side markers. With a black 2018 denalli I did get black door handles and black taped the chrome horizontal trim pcs as well as painting the front grill and skid plate black. Not sure of the rest of the stuff you've done???
Bilsteins are the first mod, get them junk ass Ranchos off, rides 100x better, put them in my trail boss front and rear ,totally different truck wheel hop is gone

I painted my exhaust tips myself with high heat paint, and they’ve held up real good.

Its sucks they dont have the fog light option on the ‘custom’ and you have to program them if you install aftermarket
