"My husband hasn't told his parents that we're married". Welp my best friend's brother did exactly this. His now wife came to Switzerland from their home country (Serbia) and was staying at his partner's house with him and his family, while he was still studying. They told everyone that they were only engaged and that they would marry after he finished his studies. After he did and moved to their own place, they finally revealed to everyone that they were already married. It happens! I suppose that they were scared that their families wouldn't want them to marry so soon because they weren't living on their own yet.
