    I have to say I agree with Trid regarding weddings in regards to the fact one persons Montessori child is another persons demon child, respect the wedding couples request and leave children at home if requested. Also it may not be your children that are bad but they have to say no children or “that” couple will bring that child that bites you on the ankle and they say it’s just his way of expressing himself.

    Why does Sheena want to be always so kind and nice. Sometimes it is better to say things directly. Then everybody knows what is going on. Saves time. And nerves. But I think it is a cultural thing. And maybe a woman thing. To please, to be sweet and nice. Adorable. Here in Germany we say things in a direct straight forward manner. And I like it. I had to learn the social games of my arabic friends. 🙈😂

      Some people are naturally nice, it's not always a cultural thing. Let nice people be themselves too, it gets tiresome being told to be "assertive" or "direct" when the nice people aren't being fake or afraid to assert anything. They're genuinely saying what's on their mind and that happens to be nice things.

    I can keep the peace with anyone up to a point. That point is variable with the veracity of a person's offence. And usually the line is crossed when they are offending someone other than myself, specifically a female, child, veteran, or elderly person. I just won't put up with anyone bullying some one else.
    I've got pretty broad shoulders, metaphorically, and have taken so much crap in my life that I could likely spread it across all of Montana as fertilizer. So I am used to it. Why I can stand up for others but not my self, I don't know, but I try to keep the peace as much as possible. When I blow my top, it isn't a pretty sight. When I blow my top for myself, I either quit my job or get fired. So, since I need my income for my family, I just compartmentalize and swallow it down, then try to fond some way to vent later on. (But never toward my family.) Wood craft, yard work, video games, something where I can vent away from other people.

      5 year old female soldiers with the mentality of a 79 year old are plague on our earth. They're everywhere man. In the trees waiting for one of us to stray from the pack. They go around kicking dogs and they think they can get away with it because they are 5 and a girl and a Vietnam veteran and it's just gotta be stopped. And I'm talking highly trained. 3rd degree black belts at the age of 4. They will stick your own ass in your ass if they catch you alone and the only way to stop them is to
      1. Full on deck them in the jaw
      2. Hold them down and bark in their faces until they cry
      3. Knife, and you better be good with it
      The only downside is to other people who didn't get the full context of the situation would just assume you were barking at and punching a little girl with a army costume on and a grey wig. And there is no explaining yourself because like I said they are highly trained. They could convince a cat it was a frog. They basically rule the United States through nut kicks and politics. And you sir would defend such horrible monsters. Shame and a pox upon you

    If, growing up, my family's weddings always invited kids that would be an extra 30+ guests. One of my cousins got married this week, and as far as I know, our cousins nor their children were invited, which by now would have been another 50+ guests. I think it is reasonable that our 12 aunts and uncles plus their spouses/significant others got invited and the cousins & their famiiles didn't. Wedding or not, if you're paying to host an event, you get to choose who you invite to attend.

    • @acswain6720
      @acswain6720 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is very rude in India to ask any friend/relative to not bring their children to the weddings. In most Indian weddings, the total number of guests is never fixed, you can ballpark the number of guests attending as almost 2 to 2.5 times the number of invitations you send. Some come alone and some with whole family. The weddings culture is drastically different in India/Indians than the West.

    • @mbsl923
      @mbsl923 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@acswain6720 If you know 2- 2 1/2 times the amount of people you invite are coming or if you know people are going to bring their kids you still know what to expect and can plan for that. If that works for you and you can afford it, great. Not all of us can. Neither custom is right or wrong, just different.

      @@mbsl923 Community lunch/dinner is served in a different way in non Christian cultures. The Christian way makes it difficult to manage unplanned circumstances. Think of it as community buffet with lots of food, but served to the guests, in stead of guests helping/serving food themselves. You just have to make sure lot of food, eyeballing the ballpark figure (sorry, english being my third tongue, mixing too many phrases). In many cases the cooking (next batch of food) continues along with the feast as guests DO NOT arrive simultaneously however much you wish. India, being filled with people, people having very close ties with the families and the relatives, we are generally invited to hundreds of such festivities per year, which we cannot miss. So, very few guests really attend the actual Wedding Ceremony (s)which may last for days and sometimes a week. So, most attend only the wedding reception (feast), give the gift, eat and leave soon. There are not enough weeks in a year to comprehensively attend all the invitations you get every year. People understand, if you can attend for only half an hour, but you must eat before you leave, or it is rude, and remembered!!

      If you had the money and room to cater everyone and thier kids then definately that would be great.
      However most people cannot afford this, so its usually just your closest family members which get invited.
      My cousin however when she got married, invited everyone along with their kids, she had her wedding at alniwck castle (harry potters hogwarts castle) we all even got to use broomsticks around the yards, was pretty funny all the women attempting it with long dresses on, my son was 5 at the time and got to have a lot of fun running around the castle grounds with all of his half cousins, and they had great fun at the disco afterwards, was an amazing day and it made it special for us all

    11:16 If it is their special day and they do not want to have separate preparations for kids' entertainment and have kids running around screaming and playing (especially if the kids are not raised properlly) they have full right to ask not to bring kids. It is not an event for kids, but for adults. It goes down the same line if a kid is invited to a birthday party and the mother drops off their brother and sister with him. The invitation is not for "all kids" it is for a specific friend, they planned a certain number of kids, and they have mutual interests and things to do, bringing two strangers, brother and sister is not acceptable. If they are inviting you they are not inviting your kids. If you do not want to come without your kids, don't come, simple as that.

    Different strokes for different folks. Some people need a direct approach to get the message. Others find directness abrasive. Be discerning, flexible, reasonably kind. Extend some basic social etiquette at the beginning. Be a sport too. Give and take. Be mindful and accommodative of your spouse's sensitivities to your own seeming unfriendliness, self-annoyance, mood swings in a social setting. It's not about you only when going out to meet friends/people.
