2 games off of ZeRo and a decently close game 5? This would have been a slaughter a few months ago. M2K is improving at a top tier rate.
M2K finally found a character he likes, in cloud.
And as a cloud main myself, I have to say I am jealous of his skill.
And yes, 2 months ago m2k probably would have taken one set at the MOST.
He hasn't played any character consistently enough to keep up. He stayed with DK for a while but not even a top DK could reaaly compete with high tier.

dude mewtwo king doesn't even care that much about smash 4, he has matches where he literally looks away from the TV to talk, mewtwo king is the one who passed his knowledge on to ZeRo, Jason could take ZeRo down no problem. he just doesn't care enough to actually do it

M2k is getting so good at smash4, I'm glad he found a character he really likes

+Cody Littlejohn He has been pretty much destroying everyone with cloud that he has played against so far. This is one of the few times he had to really challenge himself since cloud released.
Bodied 3-0 by Zero at PAX like half a year ago, and here he is almost putting him into Loser's. He's lost some of his dominance at Melee, but if there's anyone who can dethrone Zero it's M2K.

Honestly I always thought ZeRo only used Diddy when he was broken because he was broken but he proved that he's a good Diddy no matter what

fangiscool1 I know he's a good Diddy, I just never saw him play Diddy much because he only pulled him out against other Sheiks. I'm just saying that it's good to see him use Diddy from the start and not just a back-up character

Ahhh, ZeRo proving once again why he's the world champ. Tournaments like these highlight how good he's at reading players, adapting to characters and developing strategies that cover all options. At least it was a close match.
That smile at the end...oh my gosh M2K thinks he could have taken it. I have a feeling the king is about to shake up the meta.

If anyone was wondering why it seemed that m2k was doing regular stage get up like a derp it was because Zero pulled larger combo strings off of covering the other get ups. He took some damage risked it for the biscuit. Also sad to see him go because of a mistake blade beam

m2k's cloud lookin so clean. Glad he finally found his character. Zero is the shiek, esam is the pika, nairo is the zss, and m2k is THE cloud.

m2k seriously improved in smash 4. I'm impressed
Seeimg M2K flub at the end recovery made me feel bad but something about it cutting to him smiling and shaking Zeros hand felt amazing

Man... This is so much faster than when I play. The game recording was definetely sped up. There's no way the game is that fast.
As a cloud main, m2k makes me jealous.

I haven't played much cloud but I'm a little curious as to why M2K has non-existent projectile pressure? Cloud has a pretty good one doesn't he? Zero throwing the banana up and down the whole game I figure he'd fight fire with fire.
It's not too good because there's pretty much a 100% guarantee ZeRo will powershield and have more time to set up whatever he wants. Why do that when you could charge limit?
Now tell me M2k isn't the best cloud player, this is pretty legit.
+Xaasrevile Komorokiri is probably better, but he's quickly becoming better and better. I'm really glad he found a character he actually enjoys in this game.
Komorokiri won Wombo Wednesdays and beat Ranai in the Grand Finals the day before GENESIS 3. He's hella good, don't think M2K knows the Villager matchup. Wouldn't be surprised if M2K surpassed him by 2 months from now tho.
+BrickNGames Maybe he can't beat Ranai, but we've never seen it for sure. To be fair though Zero can stomp both Ranai and Komorikiri .
The reason that Zero elected to pick that stage on the last game is because it lets him set the pace and the pressure. The idea is in Smashville, Mew2King would charge his limit on the platform and being Diddy, that involves plucking and throwing a banana and/or then picking an approach that wouldn't result in a punish. With a Sheik change and that stage, it allowed Zero to put pressure on the limit charges and put it on quickly because of Sheik's needles. By being able to do this, it lets Zero be the one who sets the pace for the game instead of letting Mew2King doing it by being able to charge limit and punish a bad approach.
Good to see M2K smiling at the end of a match with ZeRo. Maybe because he knew how close it was, and he pretty much threw it away at the end, so he knows exactly what not to do next time. Can't wait to see the day that he beats ZeRo in tournament. Anyone know what's going on with their relationship? M2K smiled at the end, but ZeRo seemed to be treating him quite coldly.
I know I'm pretty late on this but why did ZeRo and m2k stop hanging out?

I wonder, when was the last time M2K and ZeRo played before this? I seem to remember M2K mentioning often that he hadn't played with ZeRo in a while. Even still, they both went at it pretty well, it's a shame that M2K SD'd at the end.

This is 1 of those legendary matches in all of gaming, let alone Smash. It's funny people don't realise it as it's panning out but at a sweet spot of a HD release of a premium fighting game, it's a no brainer.
Super. Giants were felled and made this match, gr8 props to Zero but sadly for m2k; this 1 set the tone for his downfall
