Top tip - DO NOT just rely on the theory test apps, they do not have all the questions (A certain number of questions are kept just for the real test), also some apps do not have the up to date questions on them
Solution?
You MUST also look at the books, focus on revising the more unusual subjects as mentions on the video, it is NOT just about road signs, you also need to know about some basic car maintenance (catalytic converters, ESP, ABS), eco safe driving, driving abroad, towing a trailer..... The best book is "Driving: The Essential Skills"

Driving Crawley I only used apps and had 48/50 and 66/75
I'm confused not all of these are in the theory app
@@benjones424 that's good, it can happen, but best to still do extra revisions using books to ensure you pass first time.
@@mariakhan2662 that is the point. Some apps do not have all the topics or questions.
Often investing in buying the books can help, also using a decent app (such as Driving Test Success 4 in 1 or Official DVSA App), some lesser apps have out of date questions or a limited question bank.

What questions did you get about tunnels, there is a really odd one about tuning your radio to a certain emergency frequency, which is a tricky question as more relates to tunnels in other European countries, not the UK.

The 2 questions i got were;
What should you look out for when driving through a tunnel, which was variable message signs and what should you do if your car catches fire whilst driving through a tunnel, which I ticked, keep going and pass the tunnel :)

If you are getting 48/49 out of 50 it sounds like you have been revising hard, your hardworking will pay off on your test.

as someone who has generally failed in life thanks to some disabilities, im going to be booking my theory test soon. very excited, i've been doing mocks on the right driver website and i usually always get at least 48/50. also got pretty good at hazard perception. thanks for making videos like this, you're a godsend!
I legit revised 2 days for it & was stressing so much , I used all videos and hit the apps back and forth , I sat it for my first time and got 43/50 in my theory and hazard perception got 59/75 . I don’t even care about the marks I’m just so happy & thank Allah like alhamdulillah I passed ! Finally over and done with that bit

The best way to pass this Is by getting the official app,doing 10-15 practice tests everyday for 2 and a half weeks in between these sessions make sure you look over ones that you are unsure about or ones that you keep getting wrong I bet you 100% you will pass
I did this and passed first time. Takes no time to learn as long as you keep repeating them. Definitely the best way!
Just did my theory test today! For Multiple Choice I got 43 out of 50 and for Hazard Perception I got 51 out of 75.
How does the theory test work? So is there 2 tests? Hazard and the. General theory orr??
Just to say I passed my theory today 45 out of 50 and 52 out of 75 watching this video why because I flagged questions wasn’t sure of instead of rushing I read the questions clearly and over again pin pointing the words they use honestly this video helped so thank you 🙏🏽GOD bless you x
Thank you so much for sharing. It was very helpful. I watched you a night before my test. It helped to prepare me for the test. You are exactly right on the spot about there are some questions are not in the test that you have been practicing. Specially the case study, the last 5 questions in the end. I was pretty sure I will failed. I was lucky that I guessed it right cus I have no ideas what the answer was. I got 49/50.

How did it go?
Just today, I booked my Theory Test in Ilford for 10th of June with my friend, which gives both of us a wondow of 48 days.
Roughly 7 weeks, more or less. I've literally "youtubed hop to passm UK driving Theory Test" and came accross these beautiful and informative videos and the comments no doubt here add a lot of value. It certainly gives me a view of different perspectives, of the respective drivers, most of whom have already passed or have experience driving around UK roads for around 30 years.
P.S: By the way, could anyone recommend/suggest me the best way to pass the theory/hazard perception test? Should I just download the app and do the practice questions? Or should I read the book? I'm a bit stumped here, since I'm reeling towards all three; youtube videos, books and app test in phone.

But simply put use BOTH books and apps, the apps don't cover everything, and the books do not get you use to the style of questions they use, hence both needed.

Edit: I passed. Got 44 on multiple choice.
Advice: litterally just keep going over questions that u struggle with and keep doing mocks . I took screenshots of the questions that I struggled on and kept going back for them constantly till I knew the answers instinctively.
It’s really not that difficult if I’m being honest.
Also in the hazard, AS SOON AS YOU SEE THE HAZARD (it’s very obvious) just click and then click 1 or 2 times after as well just to make sure.

I don't see the point of this really so long as you don't crash or run anyone over. Just be careful. Just take your time and don't go too fast.. Only rules really needed.

Insurance excess is an amount you have to fork out if you make an insurance claim

some theory questions are stupid im sorry. “every lane is closed do not proceed further” is much more vague than “take the first exit”. So, based off the answer of that question you can just swing your car around and start going in the opposite direction, against all the traffic.
Like many others I only started revising the night before the test. Because of you I was able to get a pass with a 48/50. Thank you very much, and best of luck to anyone else revising the night before

Can't say I would encourage doing no revision, but all the same well done, clearly you already had a lot of knowledge in your head from being an attentive passenger.
@@UKDrivingTest thank youuu, yes I don't recommend doing no revision either, I had to rush mine as I'm going uni soon and I decided to get a car last minute ... I was very nervous and shaking throughout the whole test as I knew I wasn't prepared enough to be there, so I believe revising and getting prepared properly will help the others to be more confident too.... if anyone is looking at this I would also recommend not to revise from the app only but to try and understand what each question means... TH-cam videos helped me a lot... idk about the book as I didn't have enough time to go through it

You say apply water for 10 mins with cool water but the actual answer on Highway Code is to apply cool water for 20 minutes
We should cool the burn for 20 minutes, not 10

AM GETTING my provesniol licesnce should i take the theory first or take couple of lessons learn to drive and revise when am ready i take it
It is a good questions, depends on the person, for some it is nice to have theory knowledge before driving as it can make the practical driving easier and make more sense as you already know a lot of things in theory.
However, for some doing the theory first is more difficult as the questions might not make sense as you might not be able to visualise the situation.
So like I say depend on your learning style, for me I think I would always want to do a few lessons first just to start to get my mind into a driving mindset.

Been revising hard
Once you’re on zebra crossing, you should. Never wave them across could be another veichle coming so that’s totally wrong!!!
Sometimes with the questions you need to pick the most appropriate answer.
The question is saying if you are ON and zebra crossing, not approaching.
The options above waving across would read "you should stop and wave pedestrians to cross" which like you say is the incorrect answer.
The correct answer is "never stop, unless there is immediate danger to pedestrians cyclist or other road users", as you should not stop on a zebra crossing as you will obstruct the crossing.
On my third try after getting 42 twice.
Passed the Hazard Perception both times though.
I think it should be not 43 out of 50 for pass maybe should be 35 of 50

I’ve done my theory test twice now and failed both times and I just want to pass it... 🙁
Make sure you are understanding the questions and answer, not just memorising it.
When revising don't just guess if you don't understand the question/answer, go and revise the topic try to find a way of understanding it or remembering if it is a numerical answer. For example you place a warning triangle 45 meter or 147 feet from your car (excluding on motorway), the triangle looks like the thing they use to place the balls in a game of snooker, 147 is the best score you can get in a game of snooker.

i.e. not just a solo driver, they have passengers, they signs will normally explain more, so they might have a specific lane which is only to be used when cars have 2 or more people in them, the idea is to encourage car sharing, therefore reducing the number of cars on the road.
Im using the 4 in 1 app which everyone has recommended. However some questions mentioned in the video i havent come across. Abit worried Any of you guys passed using it.

are these actual questions from the test? because non of these are on any of the revision apps ive been using the last 2 months which has now scared me.
All the questions on my videos are based on information in the Highway Code, Driving: The Essential Skills & Know You Traffic Signs.
So YES you could be asked questions like them, maybe not exactly the same, be worded slightly differently. Of course bear in mind on the video I have used some more difficult questions as examples, not all of the questions will necessarily be to this level of difficultly.
Can I also ask which app you are using? As some of the lesser apps don't have an agreement with DVSA to use their questions bank, as such they only use a handful of questions (there are over 1,000 in the official question bank) or the questions on their app are out of date etc.
Also bear in mind even the decent apps DO NOT have all the questions you could be asked, they are just practice questions, on the real test the questions might be worded differently or even a few questions could be ones you have never seen on the app BUT they are in the three books I mention above, so it is information you should know.
In summary your situation and the above information explains why over 50% fail their theory test (the large majority failing the 50 questions missing out but just a few points).

Like I say all the information is based on the books which the theory test is based on, and also based on questions I have seen before on the theory test, so you could potentially be asked these questions, but of course you could not be asked them, depends on the day.

@@UKDrivingTest i use the driving test success, im getting 50/50 on pretty much every mock at this point however them questions are not in the 700 ive revised and with my test only 5 days away im now super nervous
@@mrukgamer Driving test success is a good app, from what I understand they use genuine DVSA questions, if you are getting 50/50 you should stand a good chance.
Like I said previously the questions on this video are more tricky ones, on your real tests you might only get 2 or 3 like them, or you might get none.
If you are getting 50/50 on DTS then I would not be too concerned, but if you want to boost you chances of passing first time have a look at some of the advice on my videos, if you learn few more things think of it as a positive thing, rather than worrying the DTS app did not show you the questions.
@@UKDrivingTest i passed!! scored 49/50 for my questions (should of been 50 but it was a silly mistake on my end) and i got 67/76 on hazard perception!

Done my test but u know what im fail the app that i had all the questions and answers i know on fingure tips but there is no one a single question appear in exam from this app can u plz suggest me any good app
