Super common sample, but the way he flipped it was dope. Sick to see Heatmakerz on Roulette, can't wait for the next episode till then I'm rewatching this
come on, man... you did not just blindfolded pick that sample... *puts on blindfold* "aiight, we got this one track... it's called 'nautilus' or something... let's see if we can do anything with it..."
Heatmakerz are my favorite producers. Rsonist is the Guru of sampling. R. I. P . FRED THE GODSON Hearing that beat took me back to the. Dipset Byrd Gang mixtape series
stansteez That's why I LOVE Hip-hop... It's something that the "Sampling isn't real music" guys will never understand... It's not about the records you use but how you use them.. Two different producers but they both have different outputs when they chop the same sample.
Galt mcdermot has a huge back catalogue of recordings. One every couple of years from 1969 to present day. Nearly every one has multiple crazy sample possibilities on. Ridiculous.
This sample is used by Prince Paul and Dan the Automater on Handsome Boy Modeling School - The Truth ft J-Live. I love how he flips the sample better in some ways though.
I think that short sample which starts at 1:59 and plays just for 3-4 seconds was used before by Heatmakers for a Dipset song.. reminds me of "Hey na" but thats probably not it. Does anybody know?
Heatmakerz fell into that trap where they think they have to make over complicated beats. They forget the value of the (superficially)simpler raw shit.
+scienz that little sample in the beginning where he slowed the track down.... didn't even have to do anything, that drumline and melody was smooth as fuck.
keri du douze You need to do that. You have to be able to hear how a mix down sounds on consumer equipment. If it didn't sound presentable you have to go back, adjust levels and give it another listen on consumer grade equipment. It's the same thing Rick Ruben used to do and everyone else does. Has to sound right on what 90%of people will be using.
For those of you who want to know the song is from a Canadian composer who has been sampled by many, you will hear his tracks in MF DOOM beats J DILLA and many others. If you have never heard of him just search TH-cam for Galt MacDermot he has an amazing body of work.
R.I.P. Fred the godson💔💔 so sad he’s gone
And him rapping about that Corona flow in 2015 ... Scary stuff.
@@slickvisualpoetry He didnt mean corona virus tho.. He meant the drink because he said be Heineken (be hind again)
He just got a street named after him
@@skylerdarkavelifinesseflow7115 No way!
@@slickvisualpoetry yes way.. Just happened yesterday or something like that
"the bigger the afro, the better the sample" hahaha i love that.
Now so eery how Fred the Godson says "that Corona flow, leave them behind again" Rest in Power FRED
I thought the same thing

He struck gold on that second record I love that simple. I heard it a million times and it still sounds good.
Super common sample, but the way he flipped it was dope. Sick to see Heatmakerz on Roulette, can't wait for the next episode till then I'm rewatching this

Sample was used by OH NO! on the song Coffee Cold from the album Exodus into Unheard Rhythms. The was made using only Galt McDermott samples.

heatmakerz r producing masterminds. it's amazing how they put craft together
come on, man... you did not just blindfolded pick that sample...
*puts on blindfold* "aiight, we got this one track... it's called 'nautilus' or something... let's see if we can do anything with it..."
***** Lmao 'Iight I just picked this one record. . .'Funky Drummer - James Brown'. . .hopefully I can do something with this'
exactly what I said...
+Maurice Downes are you saying that they prepick the vinyls? I think that refuses the entire point
Maurice Downes for reals I've been thinking the same thing for a while
I don't think too many of them pre pick records. I do think a few hang out in the sections of the store where they can't completely screw up.
You would be lucky to find some of those records anywhere but blindfolded damn.
Fred da Godson be busting no homo! Heatmakers are 🔥🔥🔥 as usual
2:15 "is there a heaven for us hip hop heathens?"
One of the best ones yet, NICEEE!
ya'll dont realize how key the delivery is when rappin
Heatmakerz are my favorite producers. Rsonist is the Guru of sampling. R. I. P . FRED THE GODSON
Hearing that beat took me back to the. Dipset Byrd Gang mixtape series
I remember him from the smack DVDs. Missing the times man. Dope 👍🏽
Thank you for bringing this back. I bought a turntable and got into records because of this
Handsome Boy Modelling School…
stansteez You know it, cuz the Truth is all there is.
stansteez That's why I LOVE Hip-hop... It's something that the "Sampling isn't real music" guys will never understand... It's not about the records you use but how you use them.. Two different producers but they both have different outputs when they chop the same sample.
Prince Paul another prototype for generations to come
Knew this sounded familiar.
DJ Dyvurse I agree, when I don't really feel like I'm doing anything.. I rather make my own music
More Rhythm Roulette please.
Wich is the music in the intro of this video?? Love it!!
what are the odds he finds that record tho that sample alone is dope af

+The Heatmakers thank you for the legacy and what Arsonist and his partners contributed to the game. Soundtrack to my teens!!!
RIP Fred The Godson!!!
That killa cam beat always knocks crazy in the whip

I think that short sample which starts at 1:59 and plays just for 3-4 seconds was used before by Heatmakers for a Dipset song.. reminds me of "Hey na" but thats probably not it. Does anybody know?

good to see the Heatmakerz still doin it... dope flip!
Oh snap! I live right there haha. A1 Records is dope
Heatmakerz fell into that trap where they think they have to make over complicated beats. They forget the value of the (superficially)simpler raw shit.
+scienz that little sample in the beginning where he slowed the track down.... didn't even have to do anything, that drumline and melody was smooth as fuck.
Just Blaze does the same thing.
ice phuckin cold yo one of the best Rhythm Roulettes yet BooM
Dude on the keys is nice!!
flip this one toooo nice!
a "Beat by Dre" headphone in a studio ???? come on guys...
keri du douze You need to do that.
Nick Nieves.. jermaine dupri has a similar method. He said that he always listen to his mixes on his car stereo
Always. even keep a cheap $10 pair around
keri du douze you need a shitty monitor to get the mix right. The NS-10s were the worst speakers ever made, which is why they're perfect for a studio.
damn, he got lucky coming across that coffee cold joint which is actually a known sample by used many hip hop producers haha
Rest in Paradise Fred da Godson 🙏
9th WONDER on Rhythm Roulette please
+Xander van den Hooven u got it

For those of you who want to know the song is from a Canadian composer who has been sampled by many, you will hear his tracks in MF DOOM beats J DILLA and many others. If you have never heard of him just search TH-cam for Galt MacDermot he has an amazing body of work.
Flames !!!!! The combo K.O..That's how it's done !
