And never will. They were motivated by money and fame and the money is steadily declining for the top guys. WWE will never pay anybody Austin and Hogan money ever again since they no longer have $30-50 PPVs or any royalties from video. That's an incredibly large chunk of money from the talent pool. Also, the audience is slightly but steadily shrinking.

He may be in rough shape now, but you could discount a thousand good workers from the last 40 years for that same reason. The RoH run that WGTT had was, to me, one of the best in the company's history. The feud with Hero and Castagnoli was truly great.

I love stories like this; to understand the method to the madness. To Nick telling the story, it was Jim just flipping out for little to no reason after a good match. For Jim, that tiny reason was hours of extra work that probably happened quite a bit in a developmental fed, so there were probably quite a few nights where hours of the extra editing was neccessary because two guys had to "get all their shit in" with no thought outside of themselves or the moment.
Here's the thing though, he's far from the only person in the industry whose had to deal with these kinds of issues and most of them presumably manage to do so without taking a baseball bat to windows. Just my opinion, but sometimes he acts put out that he had to do fairly basic stuff involved with producing a wrestling show.

OVW and Cornette was the NXT and Triple H of that era (except OVW had a smaller budget with a skeleton crew - so think about what Corny n' Co managed to accomplish and it shows with the Wrestlers from that era).

Even wrestlers, who didn’t make it to the level of top guys, like Cena, Orton, Lesnar & Batista, still went on to have pretty decent careers: Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, and many more I can’t be arsed to name haha.

Never mind I was there in the summer, 90+ degrees it was an unbearable sweat box packed with some of "Kentuckiana's finest" in personal hygiene. I vaguely remember Danny's daughter and wife since his daughter sold tickets and his wife ran the concessions/merch table.
