The question should be if a deity inspired the originals then why didn't the deity preserve the originals?
Here's another question. Were the books and letters in the bible inspired for us today or for them?
Don't believe words that the book is inspired just because the book says them. I can assure you that those words were written by a man.

Of course, I've always thought that even without getting into proof from manuscripts, textual criticism, biblical archeology, or what have you ...
That the entire basis for anyone to doubt the Bible's authenticity is totally illogical and nonsensical to begin with ...
For how could an Almighty and All-powerful creator of the entire universe not be able to protect his word from something as infinitely puny and insignificant (i.e., in comparison) as human beings and any of their futile attempts to destroy it?

It's like arguing that God can do the "macro" things such as creating heaven and earth, and all life in them. Yet can't do the "micro" things in comparison, like preventing humans from doing something he doesn't want them to if he wishes ....
