Instagram- AdamTheWooATW I do realize it’s winter and that has a lot to do with low crowds but is Atlantic City better when it’s warm ? Not talking amount of people just the vibe .
I live about 30 minutes away and we avoid it at all costs. Crime has absolutely skyrocketed in the past 10 years. Sucks, we used to go there all the time. Unfortunately it's gone super downhill. We will occasionally go there for concerts or conventions or the rainforest Cafe haha but basically we get to where we're going and then go straight home lol
I was raised in California and moved to NJ fifteen years ago to work at a tv network. I've come to really love NJ and must tell you: come back to the shore during the Summer! AC is an acquired taste-- but visit other (incredible) places Ocean City, Cape May, Spring Lake, Atlantic Highlands, Asbury Park, Red Bank for a truly great waterside experience!
I did the opposite, and moved to California, and it was like when things went from black and white to color in Wizard of Oz. And, I couldn't imagine ever going back to stinky old NJ.
As a NJ native, and someone who works in the City, you definitely came during off season. The entire vibe shifts. The streets and boardwalk come to life. As others have mentioned, AC is much more of an "adult" destination, with the majority of entertainment being the casinos and nightlife. You should come back to the shore after Memorial Day, but I'd recommend Ocean City (about 30 mins south of AC) or Wildwood. The boardwalks there have more activities geared towards families and are even busier than AC gets. If you're ever in AC again though, you should try out Tony's Baltimore Grill for some pizza, they have been on Atlantic Ave. since 1927, nearly 100 years. Best pizza in the city, imo.
@@col.cottonhill6655 No one? Try again. Tons of people go "down the Shore" (nobody Says "to the Shore" in NJ) in Winters. I had done that for Years when I was in NJ. Also, there ARE less people not there's.
In the summer, the run down nature of the city is somewhat masked by the greenery, blue skies and crowds that visit. But in winter, the mask comes off and you see what AC is: an old northeast city, with a lot of crime and homelessness, wrecked by politicians and years of mismanagement, along with past casino-owners who bled their businesses (and people) dry before leaving. There are some bright spots - the owner of the Showboat is building an indoor waterpark just off the boardwalk; some of the casinos/hotels have invested money in refreshing their properties for the first time in years; Tanger Outlets are usually busy on weekends, even in winter. And in the summer, when the water and skies are blue, trees are green, and sun is warm, the boardwalk gets quite busy. Timing is an important factor in deciding when to visit AC, and what type of experience you'll have.
Well said. AC used to be a great place, but now it's struggling. I went last year and noticed that things are starting to transition into more of a family destination, rather than just gambling. Hopefully it can back to it's once great experience.
Also a Dave & Busters will open this year to reinforce the family theme.. The Feds gave AC $6 millions to start to rebuild the board walk.. Bader Fields development is in the works.. Furthermore AC's credit worthiness got an upgrade recently. The State of New Jersey is overseeing the city's finance..
I was born and raised there. I lived there from 1960 to 1996. I went back for my son's wedding 2 years ago and honestly the state that AC is in made me cry. I am SO grateful I lived there in very good times and cherish the memories😮
Born & raised in NJ now living in FL breaks my heart to see what Atlantic City has become. 20 years ago it was always a fun trip. Hurricane Sandy did some damage and the economy crashed it worse. Not to mention the winter is the worst time to visit the Jersey shore in general.
Up until Casinos came in 80 AC was a bad place. Low income and a boardwalk that wasn't comparables to the other's in the state. I was born and raised in south jersey.
They’re actually bringing family entertainment there. New arcade and indoor waterpark. It’s February not the summer. We took my son there in july last year and he loved it.
Really cool! My mother grew up in Atlantic City and went to the steel pier almost every day after school. She saw the Three Stooges doing their comedic routines to guests on the pier. The boardwalk has definitely past it's peak and is in severe decline. We rarely return since my grandmother passed.
It's nice to see you in my neck of the woods. I live in a couple towns over and I have to say that Atlantic City isn't what it used to be. The expansion of casinos in other states really put a hurt on tourism and the decline of the city does not make it the destination it once was. Visiting in the Winter vs. The summer is a bit of a different experience as there is much more to see and do. I'm not sure how much you know about the town, but a few places you went by are some famous landmarks. The Steel Pier used to be the home of the diving horses that were featured in the movie "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken". The lighthouse is the Absecon Lighthouse and I believe you can still climb the steps to the top. The cheesecake you ate was probally made with an Atlantic City Sub roll, which imo are the best in the nation. There are many other shore towns that are a better representation of the Jersey Shore and I would recommend coming back during the warmer months. Brigantine (which is over a bridge that connects to A.C.) Ocean City, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood, and the historic town of Cape May are beautiful and better kept! I don't know how much longer you are going to be in the area but I would recommend going back that way and visiting Lucy The Elephant (the world's largest elephant) in the nearby shore town of Margate and at least going down to Cape May to see the S.S. Atlantus (a concrete ship that got grounded and sunk in the waters at Cape May Point) and to see the historic homes and structures of the town. We also have an old historic town called Batsto in Hammonton that you can visit and walk through all year round that's about half the distance to A.C. Thanks for visiting. It was nice to see you up this way!
I totally agree. I hope one day he comes back down to the better parts of South Jersey. Meaning Cape May County lol born and raised in CMC and I love where I live so much history and better maintained and great to visit any time of year but better during the regular season.
Adam…I live in NJ during the summer. Yes AC is a sad relic of the past. If you visit much north to Monmouth County, NJ you will see a much better area….Sea Grit, Point Pleasant, Spring Lake ( one of the nicest beach towns on the entire east coast)…..these towns are gems year round especially during the summer. So many places to eat and beautiful beaches and broadwalks.
Hey Adam! Local here. I’ve enjoyed your videos. Definitely wanna check out this area in the Summer as opposed to now. If you do return, I’d highly recommend the Wildwood Boardwalk (one of the biggest & best, I gotta believe), along wit’ the doo wop feel of the town, & I also think that you’d really like the Victorian look of Cape May just below it, which lays claim as the country’s oldest seashore resort town. Thanks always for the entertainment…:~)
You should have gone to Ocean City,NJ..It is 10 miles south of Atlantic City ..But yet again this isn't the time to go as it is winter and many establishments are shut until April/May... Atlantic City is pretty much a no go anytime of the year due to high crime/drugs.
When I was in Atlantic City for the first time in June, 2021, Ripley's wanted $42 for a single ticket. I kept walking. Not surprising they went out of business.
Been a while since I have commented on one of your videos - At night i used to pull up the disney app and look at the wait times for rides - it made me feel good to imagine all the people there having fun, even though i was far away just knowing that the sights and sounds were happening hundreds of miles from me made me feel good. Thats how I feel about your content. I know the Woo is out there, adventuring - thanks dude! Join you? I shall
All East Coast beach towns have a different vibe in the winter, but especially Atlantic City. I went to AC for the first time last summer and had a great time. Everyone was friendly, the boardwalk was bustling, and it was a good experience.
Hi Adam 👋. Definitely the winter and mid-week will affect the experience. But more than anything else, Atlantic City's success in the 80s and 90s was due to the prosperity of those times. Regular folks within driving distance had disposable income that they could afford to risk in the casinos, and AC boomed. Other than a couple years prior to corona, there has not been the kind of prosperity that can support a booming Atlantic City. People have to prioritize their spending, and for most, gabling is a lower priority. It's sad to see it like this. The 80s was the greatest!
Morning Adam! Sorry you visited during the off season. I am shocked that Ripleys is closed! We were just there in August. I had no idea they had closed. Glad we got one last visit in. Hoping to run into you tomorrow. If I'm right I think we will be in the same place tomorrow.
Couple of things: 1) You went to AC at the absolute worst time. Summer is the best time to go. 2)You should’ve got your Cheesesteak from White House subs. Tony Boloney’s is meh. 3)There are so many restaurants that you need to try next time…White House, Cafe 2825, Chef Vola’s, Kelsey’s, Dock’s, Knife and Fork Inn, Vic’s….Just to name a few.
AC is without a doubt a city that thrives in the summer - the city of AC itself is a little rough but if you drive down south about 2 miles it's really freaking beautiful. Tony Boloney's is fantastic.
Visiting Atlantic City in winter is going to be a totally different experience than summer. Memorial Day to Labor Day is the real only time the jersey shore has people. They often board the places up in the off seasons , very common
The shine has long since worn off the casinos and the shiny shovels the politicians used for their photo ops. Those clowns are enjoying their kickback driven paydays while the occupants of the city are left with the aftermath.
It was 20-25 degrees above normal for adams visit , so I think he’s confused why it’s so dead. It was abnormally warm for his visit, normal February it’s freezing at the shore the breeze off the ocean make it feel incredibly cold. The jersey shore is dead cause it’s normally impossible to sit out like he did , very unusual weather. It’s way colder feeling at the ocean cause the Atlantic is so cold .
I really like your honest opinion about Atlantic City and hopefully, things there will get better in time because Atlantic City keeps reinventing itself as many times before and always keeps a faithful and steady crowd. By the way you have a wonderful speaking voice and I could listen to you all day long! Keep up the good work!!
Lived in NJ most of my life you are better visiting either seaside heights or some of the paranormal locations to see something "fun". Atlantic city is kind of like a symbol of the run down nightmare of what this state has become.
You missed the best roadside attraction there, Lucy the Elephant. It's just been renovated. AC isn't even fully open until May, and no one visiting goes beyond what you can access from the boardwalk, so you've seen more of the city than 99% of people who've been there.
I'm from a very small town in Ireland and my town is now starting to look like this. Most of the pubs have closed and half of the shops. This is since the plandemic yet our government tells us our economy never was better. Also there never used to be drugs and they are becoming common among the young people here now.
9:42 Pizza Di Roma is open 24/7. Not the best pizza ever but after drinking all night in AC it does the job at 3am and is considerably cheaper than casino food.
Off season is very quiet, best subs are at the White House, you missed inside the Showboat with it's in door amusements. Steel Pier is open from Easter til Halloween...come Spring the Boardwalk hops!
You could've gone to see Lucy the Elephant. It's the oldest surviving roadside tourist attraction in America. They also have a replica at Disney's BoardWalk Inn.
@@MoviemaniaNick I’ve only briefly been to AC to see the lighthouse and check out a haunted attraction which had been unceremoniously closed and replaced by a sundries shop.
At -- 10:50 -- I've been in that lighthouse Abscond. It is really tall ! You might like to make a video on doing the lighthouse tours. You go to each lighthouse & get a sticker for a booklet or whatever. I did it a few years ago. If you have a frear of heights do lighthouses😊 It was very sad to see Ripley's is now closed.😭. I've been there so many times when I lived in the Pine Barrens. The dollhouse stuff was amazing!! While getting a slice of pizza at a outside counter a Seagull flew by & sped off with my whole slice ! A policeman was standing next to me & I said that I'd like to report a 'robbery', and folks cracked up. The nice man behind the counter gave me another slice at no charge Then while walking on the boardwalk a Seagull pooped on my shoulder, which I was told was good luck. Dang! I never really 'gambled' but while in the Trump Casino I was walking around the wall part, folks were gambling in the middle part when I came to see a staircase, went up there, no one was there so I tried a gambleing machine & kept winning-- White strips would come out of the machine. I spent about a hundred dollars the most I'd ever gambled. You go to a chage to cash your white strips was what I was told to do as I'd never used a gambleing machine that didn't just let you get coins back, so I thought I'd get accupple hundred back....Nope! I was given a black case, then the lady was busy & took care of the next person. It was getting late so I had to hurry to get the bus & just made it before it pulled out & the bus was full so I didn't dare open the case but just did what the lady in the fage said to do, really hold onto it & that's what I did. The bus dropped me & others back to the stores parking lot where my truck was. FINELY...the case opened😳 and stacks of hundreds were inside ! That $100. or so investment paid off in a few thousand. That Christmas my mom got to go to Williamsburg, something she'd always wanted to do -- then an all expense trip for her & husband to Disney World & she got fixed in teeth instead of her old dentures. I gave some money to my church & got my truck needed repairs & I saved the rest. Plus I knew where to 'gamble' but kept the winnings down as to not have to sgin tax forms. They tore Trump's place down. I'm still not a gambler type person but if I ever go to a gambleing place again -- check the place on the outter walls-- the machines are in the middle-- if you find a set of steps-- check them out-- and good luck ! Thank you Seagulls💖
I really enjoyed the vlog, but now I’m a little sad for the area. I visited the Steel Pier as a child, and the town was bustling! Of course, that was during the summer. I hope the beach/town can make a comeback as a family oriented place to visit.
It looked so depressing how sad. Looked abit lonely out there Adam. Here's to more happier adventures. Unfortunately, we have many places that look like this now out of seasons. The song qoutes were the best!Love from 🇬🇧
Walked that same part of the boardwalk many times, stayed at Resorts several times, many good memories with a good friend - but times have changed. Btw, the voice I heard in the background belongs to a lady who’s been singing on the boardwalk for decades! That warmed my heart!
Hey! I'm from NJ born and raised, I highly recommend visiting Ocean City NJ in the summertime!! AC's beach/boardwalk, in my opinion, has always been rundown and boring compared to the other NJ shores. AC mainly pulls in an older audience due to the casinos and nightlife scene, which limits its marketability since other nearby beaches like OCNJ are family oriented. OCNJ, my personal favorite, has TONS of activities day and night for all ages, and the island town itself is so vibrant. Great video!
Should have went to the Whitehouse sub shop on Artic and Missouri or location in Hard Rock for your cheesesteak or tried an Italian submarine sandwich...next time perhaps? Next time you go to AC reach out to me I'm an AC aficionado! Good job
Love it! The video you did with Dan Bell was epic!! Two of my favorite TH-camrs together!! Glad to see him doing videos again. You should join in with him on a ADR episode. I would love to see that!!
Adam's narration has such a calming effect on me. It's almost meditative. Somehow the combination of the footage and his voice is so wholesome. I should watch at least one Adam The Woo video a day, for a restored sanity and peace of mind. Adam, you're a master of your profession.
My Grandmother used to rent a home on the Jersey shore every year--it was the family reunion site from the mid 70s to late 80s. You could see the decline--every year more and more places closed, less and less vendors and hucksters lining the boardwalk. Casinos starting to close as they failed one by one. I think it was a simple thing--there were more and more options. When it became cheaper to just fly out to Vegas, or Disney for that matter, NJ just didn't look as good. Shows like "Jersey Shore" didn't do it any favors either.
Hi Adam! Sorry your trip was disappointing, although your content never is! I have a few of my favorite 80's movies filming locations I'd like you to add to your list. I'm sure you'd enjoy doing them as much as I'd enjoy watching. Thanks for all you do! Stripes, Spies Like Us, Funny Farm, Who's Harry Crumb, Fletch to name just a few! LOL... You do such a good, accurate and detailed videos of filming locations, I love it when you hold up the screen shots on the clipboard and show us how the scene looked in the movie/show... Thanks again!
For a future visit, the Showboat Casino is now a giant arcade with an indoor go kart rink and soon the largest indoor waterpark in the US. The inside of the Tropicana is a must-see, cool indoor palazzo area and mall. Whitehouse Subs and Tony's Baltimore Grill are the best for local faire. A quick trip to Lucy the Elephant would also be up your alley!
It will NOT be the largest indoor Waterpark in the US- that title belongs to DreamWorks Waterpark at American Dream. It's only going to be the largest indoor/outdoor BEACHFRONT waterpark. Vererrryyyy different. Even Kalahari- which was the biggest before American Dream is way bigger.
The Crunch of the Philly Cheesesteak got me! You went in bad month, summertime best, but again ALL isn’t what it used to be, I go to CAESars once a month for years on end! 21:06 Best time was before casinos when it was really tourists coming to enjoy the beach, hotels. Husband and I would go horse backing riding in morning on beach.. They had loads of Auction houses with chairs set up outside so you could bid on items, That IRENES you passed was a great little shop for fun items. Grab bags for ,50-1,00, Around the corner was a BINGO hall where I would always be shouting BINGO as I won 5 or 10$, GREAT MEMORIES THERE and still making in casinos, ❤️☕️🐿️
Reminds me of some English coastal towns that used to be thriving when I was a kid back in the 80’s. What with the financial crash, Covid and the fact that people choose to spend their vacations abroad, it’s no wonder places like this suffer.
I live about 40 minutes north of AC in NJ and its not great this time of the year. Everything is pretty much closed until summer unless you want to to to the casinos or going to see a show. Some great venues for concerts. If you are still in the area go to Margate and see Lucy the Elephant.
It would have been so much better for you if you had visited Atlantic City or any of the shore areas May - September. I'm sure you would have enjoyed White House Subs on Artic Ave or Tony's Baltimore Grill on Atlantic Ave. And for a nice Italian dinner you would enjoy Angelo's Fairmount Tavern on Fairmount & N Mississippi Ave. The summer resorts are so much nicer when you can enjoy them with nice people and families around. You're always welcome to come back.
It is sad to see how run down the city looks. I was there about 10 years ago in the summer and it was not looking that great then. I hope something can be done to revitalize the boardwalk and the city! As a kid we would go there and it was an awesome place when it was active and busy... that was even before the casinos took over! Safe travels Adam!
This is amazing man. I love Atlantic City and you went by my favorite spots! I'd say you'd enjoy it a Lil more with the blue sky vibe...but it is an awesome and unique town. Like Niagara without Falls.
You went during the wrong season. I watched a video by Along For The Journey on TH-cam and they filmed their Atlantic City video 5 months later after you in July and man A.C. was looking really good and alive! I'm thankful that I was able to see your video for the winter and theirs for the summer. It's definitely a seasonal town but worth the visit.
We get our Philly cheesesteaks from a franchise called Jersey Mike's. It originated in Point Pleasant, NJ, in 1956. It's really good! Glad they opened one up in our town here in Oklahoma. I'd love to go to Philadelphia someday just to taste an authentic cheesesteak. Enjoying your current series of vids there in the NE!
Come back in July. Completely different. AC is not a 365 day a year vacation spot like the Orlando area is. Also if you want a really good cheesesteak go to Donkeys in Camden.
You were driving like 5 mins by my house!! I was so shocked to see Cooper River park lol. Also grew up 15 mins from AC - you definitely came during the off season. You shoulda tried White Horse subs and Baltimore Grill for pizza.
Also, cape may is full of history. They do guided candlelight walking tours, show you haunted places and give a lot of history. Really cool place to visit.
Atlantic City doesn't need to reinvent itself much. It use to be a nice place when I was young but they let it go to the trash. What it really need is to do is keep it simple, put money back into it, clean it up, get rid of the crime, make the people in the housing projects keep their properties clean, painted and clean up their garbage. get rid of the rundown houses and panhandlers and put in new median income condos. just make it safer and cleaner and people will come back.
And everyone from down south moves up north..lol..n the ppl from up north that go down south, definitely almost always leave n go back north.. south sucks fr..idk what you're talking about
Adam Sorry you did not have a good experience in Atlantic City. I Live in NJ and there are other boardwalks to see as well. Go to Seaside and Point Pleasant, they are nice. Happy Travels.
You hit the nail right on the head there Adam, "I don't think I've ever had a bad Cheese Steak", my very first was at Disney's All Star Music Resort waaaaay back in 1998 and it was GOOD.

I live right on AC boardwalk and love it off season because you can actually walk on a boardwalk and not try to squeeze by other people. CRDA trying to revitalize the city. I love my job, it takes me 15 minutes to walk on a Boardwalk. Love my community and have no intention of moving out of here, despite high property taxes. Moved out of NYC 13 years ago and never looked back. As a local I know where to go and what to do even during the winter. There’s always something to do here.
@@nunyabusiness8668 yes I trust to walk off 2 blocks for sure, because it’s still the main streets: Pacific and Atlantic avenues. If you live here, you know where to go and where not to go.
@@elvirasher4891 guess you’re right because when I was there long time ago, I try to go to the brass rail in the disco right next to it and almost got mugged walking down the street it was across the street from some church across the street from the brass rail right in front of it
@@nunyabusiness8668 I don’t dare to walk towards convention center and past bus terminal when the sun goes down. Not the friendliest neighborhood, and close proximity to a homeless shelter doesn’t make it any better.
In all the years that I lived in Philadelphia, I've only been to Atlantic City roughly 3 times and the only thing I loved about it was when the Planter's Peanut Store was roasting peanuts and Mr. Peanuts was outside meeting everyone. When the casinos came, I hated the city even more. My favorite Jersey shore was and still is Wildwood, N.J. Even in the winter months, the boardwalk is closed however right next to Wildwood is Cape May, N.J. which is open and has all the beautiful Victorian houses with their gingerbread. I love this town. Summer and winter, this town delivers.
Should have checked out White House Subs, many celebrities have visited and taken photos there since the 40s. And yeah, bad timing for sight seeing, come back in spring/summer and check out surrounding towns near there. Much more to see and do. But in the end, its still Jersey lol
No, AC was still great in 2017-2019. But since then, it went way downhill and prices got a lot higher too (even less crowded in the summer now than it was back in 2019)
Atlantic City was run down way before Joe biden.its been a rathole for a long time.trump had a lot to do with Atlantic City being a dump with bankrupt casinos and thousands of unpaid workers and structurally deficient buildings.im not for Biden or trump, people in this country are ridiculous with the political crap.its just another run down city in america because its been allowed to fall apart, even the casinos appear run down.i guess Biden is why homeless people on the gambling floor in the casinos bumming drinks and cigarettes while trying to pickpocket you.
Atlantic City is much better in the summer, it is an acquired taste but the beach is clean and does not get crowded like other parts of the jersey shore during winter. Hard rock, Tropicana, ocean, Caesar, and showboat are awesome casinos with lots to do. You can even have your dog on the boardwalk and beach. Land shark and margaritaville also nice. They have a go cart track over the beach overlooking the ocean. The town is run down but has its perks
Adam, AC is not representative of the New Jersey Shore experience. But in February you’d be hard pressed to find that anywhere along the shore. For a true NJ Shore experience, visit in the summer and go to Wildwood, Ocean City, Seaside Heights, Point Pleasant, Long Beach Isalnd, or any other NJ shore popular place. The casinos in AC were supposed to rejuvenate the city and raise the standard of living for its residents. 45 years later shows that never happened. A bunch of casinos have failed and closed as other nearby states allowed casinos and gambling. PLEASE don’t let your Atlantic City trip keep you away from the Jersey Shore of songs and dreams!! You won’t be disappointed!!
Welcome to NJ. Sadly, you came at the quiet time of the year. Much more active on the boardwalk in the summer. The pizza there is fantastic. Worth a second visit to try if you come back.
I saw Chicago Transit Authority at the Steel Pier back in '68 when I was 5. Me and Dad. Great show. You can put ketchup on your cheesesteak. Also good with chips or fries. Cheers!
There aren’t any other cars around for a reason: it’s cold out right now. It’s also a poor, depressed, violent city. If you’re not in the casino, it isn’t glamorous. Sandy Hook, Point Pleasant, Seaside Heights, Belmar, and Wildwood are all 💯 better choices for beach/ boardwalk activities. Foxwoods in Connecticut is better than any casinos in AC IMO
I agree with one of the commenters below that once the casinos came, and unceremoniously left, the town was destroyed. This is not "The Jersey Shore". It is part of our shoreline but as many have said, you've visited when it is essentially closed down for winter. I was at Universal Orlando this past August and it put me off, perhaps for life. Timing of your visit was unfortunate, as was mine to Florida - but if you had gone a bit further north or south you would have encountered gems. FWIW that bread on your cheesesteak looked delicious
I've lived in Jersey all of my almost 30 years of life, AC is a lot busier in the summer. At night during the weekend is a little bit more lively. As much as I like gong there for a night of drinking, AC is kind of disgusting now. It's really sad also
Yes. Alot different from Vegas, which always seems busy. Right now the rooms in Tropicana, resorts, etc might run no more than 100 per night which is a steal. Come weekend, it will be a little more busier. As the weather gets warm , the beach bars, concerts begin. That's when it will pick up
I love the Jersey Shore. I have grandparents out there that I usually visit every year in a little township called Forked River, about 45 minutes north of Atlantic City. Just south of the city is Margate City, home to Lucy the Elephant, one of the oldest roadside attractions in the country. I have covered it on my channel. Such a bizarre, but fascinating landmark. Also in the area are some of the properties that are on the Monopoly game board, such as Marven Gardens.
I was there during the same time and left sat. FEB 18TH. I actually parked in the $5 lot you passed going up the ramp to the boardwalk. LOL Shore life is a dud during the winter for sure. The summer is MUCh better. Everything is open, plenty to do and more people. There are also other shores that are WAY better then AC. I tried Toney Bologneys there too and ordered the ducktown sub which was delicious. Love your video.
I've been to AC numerous times. 1 time we stayed at the Sheraton there we saw so many gorgeous woman in the lobby and then on the boardwalk and wondered hey what's up with all this. It was the weekend of The Miss America Pageant. Good times. Nice vlog Adam!
Thank you Adam for taking me to New Jersey 🇯🇪 Interesting place but I'm going to say Business is Better in the Summer months. . Question for you,Adam? Do you still have the Cat Clock in your home in Celebration?? I've always wanted to ask.. Thank you.,sir

Yes the vibe is much better in season. It's hard to explain, but AC comes alive during the season.
I live about 30 minutes away and we avoid it at all costs. Crime has absolutely skyrocketed in the past 10 years. Sucks, we used to go there all the time. Unfortunately it's gone super downhill. New Jersey shore is pretty boring, but AC is shot.
Wildwood is great too
As a NJ native, and someone who works in the City, you definitely came during off season. The entire vibe shifts. The streets and boardwalk come to life. I went there in November. Only Bar (then) that was open 24 Hours during the Week.
I was going to say this. No one goes to the shore in the winter. Even in southern California there's less people at the beach.
@@col.cottonhill6655 No one? Try again. Tons of people go "down the Shore" (nobody Says "to the Shore" in NJ) in Winters. I had done that for Years when I was in NJ. Also, there ARE less people not there's.
Why would any first time visitor to AC go at this time of the year? still, it was nice to see the city. I miss so much.
@@patriciacreel4092 I have often been there this Time of Year Pat..
Timing is an important factor in deciding when to visit AC, and what type of experience you'll have.
reminds me of so many run-down coastal towns here in England. I should know, as I live in one! so much dereliction. wasted potential.
Nice to hear about showboat. Family always liked it over the other casino's.
Winter is why AC was never a threat to Vegas....
Or... as you get older your perspective changes. It is not necessarily an indictment on the area.
This and agree Mark A.
The state was a mess long before Sandy. And no time of the year is a good time to visit this dump
They’re actually bringing family entertainment there. New arcade and indoor waterpark. It’s February not the summer. We took my son there in july last year and he loved it.
Started go down hill after WW ll.......... be well.
AC will have a comeback at some point. The real estate is too prime not to.
So many places to eat and beautiful beaches and broadwalks.
everyone knows to visit AC during summer. This idiot went in winter.
Hey Adam!
Join you? I shall
I do that sometimes too even when I’m not there . Fun to see the wait times

Hi Adam, I'm Dennis Daniels from Cleveland,Ohio! Thanks for sharing your video about your visit to Atlantic City, New Jersey!
Morning Adam! Sorry you visited during the off season. I am shocked that Ripleys is closed! We were just there in August. I had no idea they had closed. Glad we got one last visit in.
Hoping to run into you tomorrow. If I'm right I think we will be in the same place tomorrow.
Couple of things:
1) You went to AC at the absolute worst time.
Casinos are always occupied.
If Woo says something is disappointing, it must be really bad. He’s almost always positive.
Well, it is New Jersey lol
at least that what his test result says. ;)
Hey Adam
The shine has long since worn off the casinos and the shiny shovels the politicians used for their photo ops. Those clowns are enjoying their kickback driven paydays while the occupants of the city are left with the aftermath.
Well he also went during winter which is the off season!
Definitely looked cold, just the wrong time to visit Adam, but still enjoying your trip, and your friends who are joining you Thankyou
“Plandemic”😂 the world been getting pretty chaotic so obviously it must be mustache twirling cartoon villains running the show

The lighthouse is active, open year round, and supposedly haunted! It’s called the Absecon Lighthouse and is one of the tallest in the country.
Yup, do you ever go to the Horror Con they have in AC?
@@MoviemaniaNick I’ve only briefly been to AC to see the lighthouse and check out a haunted attraction which had been unceremoniously closed and replaced by a sundries shop.
At -- 10:50 -- I've been in that lighthouse Abscond. It is really tall !
You might like to make a video on doing the lighthouse tours. You go to each lighthouse & get a sticker for a booklet or whatever. I did it a few years ago.
If you have a frear of heights do lighthouses😊
It was very sad to see Ripley's is now closed.😭.
The nice man behind the counter gave me another slice at no charge
Then while walking on the boardwalk a Seagull pooped on my shoulder, which I was told was good luck.
I love AC , come back in the summer time it’s popping 🎉
It looked so depressing how sad. Looked abit lonely out there Adam. Here's to more happier adventures. Unfortunately, we have many places that look like this now out of seasons. The song qoutes were the best!Love from 🇬🇧
Both you and Nick Johnson went to a Jersey Beach on a cold February day, what do you expect!!
Walked that same part of the boardwalk many times, stayed at Resorts several times, many good memories with a good friend - but times have changed. Btw, the voice I heard in the background belongs to a lady who’s been singing on the boardwalk for decades! That warmed my heart!
This is so sad. Up until the mid ‘80’s AC was so much more than just casinos. How can someplace so close to the spectacular ocean be a complete dump?
OC is awesome.
The major should be arrested for doing NOTHING to approve the board walk area EVERY single road needs repaved the place is absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!😊
Lbi no scum ! Too expensive for scum !
Should have went to the Whitehouse sub shop on Artic and Missouri or location in Hard Rock for your cheesesteak or tried an Italian submarine sandwich...next time perhaps? Next time you go to AC reach out to me I'm an AC aficionado! Good job
A lot of the places in Atlantic City closed do to Covid 19 and just never came back. Very Sad.
Adam you have to go to Atlantic City from Memorial day thru Columbus Day weekend!! Much more going on! Ripley's closed about 2 months ago!!
Even on a "disappointing" day, you still made it interesting!
Yes , I have NEVER! mastrubate to his videos , YET!
Adam’s baseball and travel vlogs are my favorite!!
LOL... You gotta visit in the summer. The boardwalk is busy 24/7

Bad time during winter bro...Go late spring, summer, early fall.. lots of action.
I haven't been to AC in years, but it's generally a ghost town in the winter. However, it appears to have hit the skids on a much larger scale.
To be fair, you're there during the off season.
Things tend to be closed.
May is a nice time to go.
I live about 40 minutes north of AC in NJ and its not great this time of the year. Everything is pretty much closed until summer unless you want to to to the casinos or going to see a show. Some great venues for concerts. If you are still in the area go to Margate and see Lucy the Elephant.
Agree. You missed a big roadside attraction, Lucy the Elephant in Margate, right next to Atlantic City. That was a must see. Neat history.

AC was much better pre Bidenomics
Not really, AC got worse after Covid. It hasn’t been a great for decades
THAT PHILLY/CHEESESTEAK SANDWICH LOOKS GREAT! THANKS, FOR SHARING!
Drastic change from when I grew up there. I’m just glad I have good memories of AC 💕 Thanks for coming down
I agree with one of the commenters below that once the casinos came, and unceremoniously left, the town was destroyed.
I was there a few Months ago. Massage parlors were open. :)
Adam, really enjoyed your vlog! Beautiful boardwalk and your cheese steak looked really good! Now, I'll continue watching your vlogs I've missed.
Thanks for the smiles, Adam the Woo!
Ya AC is a town thats falling apart, Ocean city and Wildwood are the fun towns at least during the summer. Any other time its dead because of winter
I've lived in Jersey all of my almost 30 years of life, AC is a lot busier in the summer. At night during the weekend is a little bit more lively. As much as I like gong there for a night of drinking, AC is kind of disgusting now. It's really sad also
Does trump still own any property there? Never been there, but heard he did….thanks, best wishes, Jake
Those birds legit made me jump back when they took off..The Skelly ATM was comedy. 😆
I’m digging the Cannon Group t-shirt, Adam! Where did you get it?
It is February. Why would you expect anything to be open on a beach boardwalk in February in the northeast. Come back in July.
