This kid performed LIVE in front of millions of people at his age. Absolutely outstanding. I hope he goes on to have a great career in magic.

I've seem magicians with experience doubling his age making pretty much the same mistake that he made there (mentioned by @GCN Picks and covered by Ant - amazing atitude there)
The real magic that has happened is how Cillian's confidence has grown from his first performance, Well done Cillian and I wish you all the success in your future 😊😉
The real magic is get amazed by a guy was turned aback to dont see the card, but at the same time in front of him there are few huge screens showing the card LOL

Cillian is a fabulous magician! I love what he says the letters in DOG stand for, and how friends are like stars. Pretty amazing tricks tonight!
I'm a magician myself, and was watching this kid perform some rather easy to do magic quite well, but when he "disappeared" that co-host I flipped out. There are a number of ways to do that, and they're not that hard to do...but to close out a routine that way was the sign of a young man who has the mind of a professional at a very tender age. He can only get better from here.
This guy is definitly winner, everything works. His story, the performance, the music, the tricks. Just amazing.

Look carefully what he puts on his left hand finger (thumb). There is a plastic finger and he inserted the white handkerchief with it, then he put his left hand in the pocket of the man standing on the stage to take out the plastic finger and the handkerchief together 😂

I've never seen anything like this before. I've seen many magicians perform of course, but these tricks were very unexplainable to me !!!! Cillian, you are a star, and we are very proud of you in Ireland, well done sir. You came third, but to us here in Ireland, you came 1st. I'd like to thank the English people for treating Cillian so graciously and so kindly.

That was amazing! Very well performed. Though at 4:24, you can see him transferring the hankie to his left hand, he does it so slickly though! Only saw it on repeat. And for the next couple minutes if you follow his left hand, he keeps it in the same stiff position slightly behind him and then uses the same hand to reach into Ant’s pocket, slipping it in, before using his right hand to retrieve it. Only one he kinda messed up on, but still incredible final performance. His sleight of hand is only going to improve as he gets older, very bright future

Congrats to him but did no one see the fake thumb on the hanki and how ant removed it props to him for keeping it quiet.this shows how he did it he had a fake thumb but it on his thumb and when putting it in his half closed hand he removed the them put it in it and when he went up to ant he put both of them in and stuck the hanki out and ant removed it

Using a thumb cap (SOO obvious) even once should be buzzed but he's had the gall to come back and repeat it in the final.
I hope no one posts how the trick is done !! He's got the 'charisma' of a Mary Poppin's character. He could be in the movies.

Mistakes like that cost him the winning line
exactly judges are helping them and the thumb trick failed too
yeah, that was intentional, because he had the card in his hat, that is showing the tree of diamonds.

Why is everyone complaining, he’s amazing, and has autism and didn’t have much time to prepare, no one is perfect and use all commenting his mistakes is just said, cheer him on don’t ruin him or his talent just cause use weren’t fully satisfied ☹️
Fricking 13-14 this kid is and despite not being perfect, his act is absolutely amazing. If this is how good he is at this age, imagine 5-10 years from now. Just wow!
Behind the scenes: ant is standing in a trap door and falls into it DONT worry it has a soft landing

Am i the only one who noticed the mistake with the hankey? look closely around 5:27, youll notice a fake thumb attached to the hankey when ant pulls it out its a tool used by magicians to make it seem like its disappeared when it hasnt
what i think pepple are struggling to realise is that he had literally 2 days to work out a performance for tonight and that things would probably be reused.
To add onto what everyone's saying that it's a setup, you realise that it obviously isn't real? Magic is illusions of the mind. This isn't Harry Potter dude, things are bound to go wrong.

Right..and he use this fake finger with the white tissue and to the 1st show with the hole in the apple and to this show inside and hold it at the poket...but this little man is big talend...bravo for him!!

10/10 for effort but the thumb attached to the handkerchief and the fact Ant was stood so far back that his legs were starting to disappear into the blackness ready for total blackout to make him disappear shows that it doesn't always go right...
And Simon held the card in such a way that the boy saw it on the screen anyway...not that it would have mattered .

At least the editor could have cut the part where the trick was accidentally revealed.
It was live when recorded and on tv so wouldn’t make a difference

There was no cheating.
1. He looked away from the card. The screens could only be seen from the audience.
2. He pulled the handkerchief from Ant's pocket. There was no phony thumb.
PISSED WHEN THE THUMB POPPED OUT OF HIS POCKET. DONE TOO MANY THUMB MAGIC TRICKS.... STILL GIGGLING, WHAT A BALLS UP

SPOILER alert! Don't read if you wanna kept the magic in your mind!
Nothing impressive here except... but before we get to that, this is how he did some tricks:
- The 3 of diamonds? That's a forced card on Simon, anyone kid can do, I learned that trick when I was a kid, very simple and I'm not even a magician. That's how he could predict the card in advance. Most basic magic card technique any magician has to learn.
Making the card reappear in one's of the host pocket? Easy, the host is accomplice or he discreetly put that card into the guy's pocket earlier before the presentation unbeknownst to him. It's a duplicate of course. You will notice that he did not ask Simon to mark that card to make it reappear... teletransportation does not exist yet and that would be REAL magic.
- The handkerchief? You will notice how super thin it is, it can be easily folded into a tiny piece, then a sleight of hand to hide under his sleeve or elsewhere inside his body or hands. Also note that he didn't ask the guy to make it appear like he did with the card, because it just wasn't there, it was with the kid all the time. Kid had to physically get to the guy's pocket and make it appear himself.
- The host's disappearance? Visually impressive but it's just an optical illusion thanks to the very deep dark background (on purpose) and the distraction with the "confettis", the host just stepped behind some sort of equally dark panel or curtain and ran behind the stage. We could not see that panel because of the darkness and light effects. So yeah, the host is at least half an accomplice.
- The torn newspaper? I'm 99% sure there was certainly a thin duplicate already folded in the same shape or size as the last torn piece, and ready to be unfolded in a split second as the original one were torn progressively. Then the pieces that were torn could be easily put back in a sleeve within the duplicate pages.
So magically speaking, this would not have passed Penn & Teller's Fool Us show as everything is quite basic magic, but there are parts that are visually impressive and for a kid, that's actually... quite impressive.
Damn, I know how he did the hankerchief thing, but getting the card in Ant's back pocket made no sense.

Surely he broke 1 of the most basic magic concepts, he made something vanish and did not bring it back, a trick with no prestige is a very bad choice
