Mauvier: Was just there for Veyle. He was willing to defect if it meant saving her from the Veyle that Sombron wanted.
Marni: Basically an arsehole until Mauvier revealed Veyle's past, then sort-of had a heel-face-turn.

How does he switch animations on for specific instances without going into the settings?

you can hold ZR before a fight to skip that animation
I only found that because the 3ds games had a similar feature

@@manimanistatue on 3DS, it was the L button. I did wonder if they’d brought back this feature, but I never thought it would be ZR.
