Stumbled across your channel a couple days ago and boy am I glad I did!
Here in Australia we have the Yowi, which is essentially Big Foot, but with a few small differences. My dad has a story he was told by a big burly truck driver about an encounter he had with a Yowi that just gives me goosebumps every time. I love the mysteries of the world and part of me hopes they never get solved!

@@Doyouevenart69 That is one of the worst cop-out explanations ever. I am not saying you are trying to cop-out, as I know you didn't originate that concept -- you just repeated it. First, science is based upon evidence, not upon the lack of evidence. The debunkers that use such claims as that are not examining the evidence available, but are attempting to prove a preconceived notion, which means they are not empirically data driven I.E., not using science or the scientific method. This is further backed by the evidential proof that they are not using logic to formulate their conceptions, since their arguments are based upon logical fallacies. They would have to be able to prove that the person was in fact wrong about what they claim to apply what you stated. Not by probability, mind you, but by empirical evidence. Otherwise it is nothing but an Appeal to Probability (type of logical fallacy) based upon an Argument From Incredulity (another type of logical fallacy) in the form of an Assertion (... logical fallacy).

I was raised in TN. When I was 8 years old, my Mother, Uncle and I were driving home. We came down a hill and around a curve. There in the road stood two creatures. They looked over their shoulders at us. Their eyes were red in the headlights. They turned and started to run. My Uncle sped up. It was like Slow Motion to me! You could see the bottoms of their feet and the dust that came up with each step! Their hair flowed almost like a horse's mane! Up and down on their bodies. There was NO odor! They were glossy, the hair wasn't matted. This chase didn't last long! The road split. One went up a small hill, towards our house and the other went towards the old Dawn Cemetery. The bottom road, towards the Cemetery, had a bank on it and they went down that road, maybe 20 to 25 feet, and jumped up the bank and were gone into the woods! They had chestnut colored hair. One was larger, and darker than the other one. I have always felt like if I were hypnotized, and had someone who could DRAW what I described, it would be amazing. I'm 70 now. My Mother told my oldest Sister about it. She's 77. I don't really care if anyone believes me. GOD knows what we saw, and we do. I'm okay with that. But it was amazing, and I'll never forget it.

Early 1980s, just out deer hunting during archery season, he saw it and never hunted in the UP again. He never told that story to anyone outside the family. Even then they gave him a lot of shit about it. But he never changed the story. He would talk about it now and then, but never ever where anyone not related could catch a whisper of it. Remembering that far away look in his eyes when he'd retell it, I've stayed open to it.

I used a set of binoculars and my friend used a scope on his rifle to watch "something" walking around on another side of the mountain. It was far enough away we could tell it was "humanlike" but not human. It walked upright and seemed to be very large. It did not know we were watching and it lasted about 6 or 7 minutes. I truly wish I didn't know what I know, after a random sighting of 3 of them I think I brought too many people around to show them footprints and shit and they have legitimately haunted me ever since. I could go on and on with stories, but put it this way I went to 3 different forests 30 miles apart in one day and they were at every spot following a friend and I throwing rocks and sticks and so much more.... they feed off of fear 100% seriously if you ever see one or even just get a bad feeling well in the woods dont look into it, dont give it attention, get away asap.

I do appreciate that you get the most credible stories and do look for supporting evidence before retelling.
I had a unique/dark experience that happened to me, and frankly, people don’t want to hear about the paranormal first hand. I told my story to a few close confidants, and they either didn’t believe it, or treated me differently because of it. Because of this, I believe that much of what has been told is very likely true, at least in a significant portion. Beyond entertainment, I do feel it just that someone tell these types of stories for the sake of honoring those who have lived through a tough experience.
Keep it up, and thank you!

Knocking over trees is a display of strength and intimidation seen by apes, most famously gorillas. They also see direct eye contact as a challenge, which might explain the somewhat hostile behaviour. Or maybe bigfoots are territorial and see humans as intruders.

Mark My wife and I were on the roof of my fathers house 7 years ago. We were just teenagers then, trying to pass the time. We thought it would be nice to look up at the stars and talk about what life had in store for us. We live near Fort Bliss military base, and not to far we have fort Biggs Air Force base, and maybe about an hour away we have another government facility near white sands New Mexico . White sands was known for the testing of the nuclear bomb during world war 2. After gazing into the night sky 🌌 for what felt like 2 hours, we saw this star that was moving way to fast across the night sky. I pointed at the star, and asked my wife for her opinion. She was like, it’s “UFO” all joking trying to be silly. With in seconds this star appeared to travel from west to East in a matter of seconds with zero noise. I would estimate the total distance was about 30 miles. It finally appeared a mile away from us. Floating maybe 400 feet above the ground and it was just at a stand still. It was silent, and disk shaped and metallic about 2 football fields In length. You could see the moon light reflecting off the round metal. It had yellow windows and just spun in place. Before I could grab my phone, it shot up 1000 feet. It did some movements that would not be possible to a normal air plane / jet. It could rise in elevation, stop then Lower in elevation stop then fly East and stop. When I say stop, this think could just come to a complete stop with little effort. With in a matter of seconds it just teleported into the night sky. I say teleported because my eyes could not pick up the movement of this space craft. It was so fast and quiet!
While all of this was going on my wife was freaking out. She was in so much fear she was shaking and kept telling me that this was not real! That this was all just a dream or an illusion. After the UFO VANISHED, we quickly got off the roof and hid inside the house. My grandfather had worked for various gov agencies. He also volunteered for mufon in the late 60’s through the mid 70’s. He never spoke about his experiences with me. When I told him about what we had seen, he assured me that what we saw was indeed a UFO.

Just a theory, but what if the sound of the trees falling around him were the creature jumping from treetop to treetop?
    Reasons for this thinking:
    1) He couldn't see it, but it could keep an eye on him to get him down the mountain.
    2) The creature is very large, and if it was jumping from tree to tree, the trees would, probably, come crashing down afterward.
    3) The deer he saw looked behind him and up, meaning it could've been in the tops of the trees or something similar.
    4) If there were, at least, 2 of them, on either side of him, them jumping from tree to tree would cause the succession of the trees falling on both sides of him as they herded him down the mountain to keep him out of their territory.

I didn't tell my encounter to anyone in about 20 years I got tired of the smirking. I'll share here. I'm 43 and this happened when I was 19 or 20. I live in Central Pennsylvania in a small town surrounded by woods. A few friends and I got some weed and beer and went to an overlook in the woods that was above a big lake. Closest home is maybe 3 or 4 miles away. We were hanging out listening to music and we started to hear what sounded like someone hitting a tree with a bat, but loud similar to a gun shot in the distance. To me it sounded exactly like batting practice in a MLB stadium. Over the next hour the cracks were happening once every few minutes but getting louder and sounding closer until one sounded like it came from the road we came in on. We turned the music off and the girls got back into my vehicle scared. Then another crack right in the tree line about 15 feet in front of us. This scared all of us and we all got into my truck. The girls yelling for me to go and I hesitated but then turned my headlights on and turned onto the road and when my lights shined into the trees we saw this huge shadow. You couldn't see details just a huge black mass. I slammed on the brakes and everyone was screaming and were like did you see that?I backed up and it was gone. The next day a friend that was with me and I went out during the day to look for tracks or something. For miles in the woods the trees were bent as if something walked in between and bent them down. They were bent similar to an ice storm but bent away from each other. No tracks just bent trees. A few days later I biked out to that spot on my mountain bike because I couldn't make sense of it. I made it to the overlook and everything was normal even noticed the trees stood back up so no evidence of the encounter at all. I'm on my way back going down the mountain on the one side of the lake and I heard this commotion in the woods and when I looked this huge maple tree was shaking. This tree was big enough that I couldn't move the tree if I tried. I would say 50 year old tree. I thought is this tree falling?and then a huge dead log comes flying at me from the maple tree. It landed a few feet short, the hair stood up on my body and I took off. When I calmed down I drove out with my gun and looked at the tree. I couldn't move it it was that heavy I'll estimate 600 to 700 pounds because I couldn't even roll it. I never actually saw what it was but I can't think of anything else it could have been.

After hearing this story, I can't help but wonder about the true nature of these creatures. The initial encounter seemed very neutral as if responding to Jeff's intentions. The creature would reveal itself to him which could be interpreted in one of two ways: 1. To logically further the encounter in a peaceful manner. The creature is basically saying, "here I am. How do you respond?" Or 2. As a display of intimidation. But I don't think this is likely as it mimicked Jeff cocking his head to the side either inquisitively or ironically. Once Jeff finally got his side arm ready and intended to do harm, the encounter became what it became.
