I don't really care about the overall rating that a book has, is more important to me what the people has to say about them, But I mostly see what my friends or booktubers I follow have to say about them.
Already writing reviews and posting them, but I love it how you focus on writing reviews for others and how this can help others to find a nice book and start reading! Didn't really take this in considering, but it makes me even more motivated.
Yay I'm so glad you feel that way! I think it helps to do that also because (for me anyway) it helps to make the review more well-rounded and thoughtful
Honestly, as someone who barely (if you can even count my tiny comments on books as reviews) writes any reviews, I loved this video. Reviews are so much fun to read after you've finished a book and see how other people perceive it. Reviews are also very important *before* you get a book to see whether you'd like it or not. By writing reviews you can also properly formulate your thoughts on it. I don't really take notes or mark anything usually when I am really invested in a book and write little sentences about the main idea or what I understood from it in my 'reviews', I haven't really seen anyone focus on reviews over here as you did, but yes! Reviews are important and need some love too. Adore this idea of looking at reviews as something personal. Too often are we caught up on finishing a book that we don't even especially pay attention to its content (speaking from personal experience) and reviews essentially force you to, it's wonderful.
Oh my gosh thank you for your comment. I love your thoughts and so glad you enjoyed the video! I found it quite odd that there wasn't much on book reviews here on TH-cam but I'm happy to fill the gap with my thoughts 😅
Yes I write reviews especially on StoryGraph….. also for new authors on Amazon as I know it helps them :) I normally copy and paste from Amazon to Goodreads too…… I also do blogs on my cat sitting blog for cat books :) x
Hi Gina! I ell I’ve read SO many but here are my all time favourites…. Strays by Britt Collins….. I can never forget this true story…. Anything by Helen Brown but especially Cleo and there’s a new one called Micky due out in March…… Love Saves the Day by Gwen Cooper and her first book Homer’s Odyssey…… The Fur Person by Mary Sarton…….. All of the Japanese cat books are fantastic especially The Travelling Cat Chronicles…… I have over 100 cats books….. non fiction and fiction….. so ask away if you need more suggestions:) I do read other genres too 😂
It’s so true, writing a review encourages you to reflect - something I don’t often take the time to do in life! It’s been so good for me to do as I’ve learnt a lot about what makes a book enjoyable for me. Now I can easily use other people’s reviews to sift through bookstagram’s recommendations and find books that I am fairly confident I’ll enjoy, saving me time and money. I love that writing reviews help both you and others!
Did I convince you? Already write reviews? What do you love about it?

Yessss you're so right! It also gives you a chance to pause in between reading books. If you can wait that long 😅
100% with you on this, can you share HOW to write reviews?
Of course! Here you go: th-cam.com/video/7cHwvmTKlFo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dhVg0DnZRR6v7fD1
I'll also have a few more review-based videos coming this month 💪
u convinced me actually
❤❤❤
How do you wrote a review if they gave you the book for free
You have to acknowledge that you got it for free in the review and then just be honest like you normally would
