    Oh wow, you spliced your talentcell into the d-cell wires instead of cutting them? Does that mean you could switch to D-cell at any time? (say, when your talentcell dies, so then put in the d-cells?)

      Yep! Just don't run both at the same time!

      @@karlhungus5303 You could attach the D cell wires and talentcell wires to each end of a double pole, double throw, center off switch with the center switch contacts going to the power input of the pack. That way, it would be impossible to run both at the same time and you could use the center off to disconnect both batteries from the pack.
