Also the streaming part of the Backwards Compatibility is something to me that will be awesome when playing old Classics on there and sharing them with your friends.

COD is pathetic, why is it even allowed this much time at E3, which should be for announcements and gameplay of new games, not the same old shit that has been coming out yearly and never changing. The other games however look fantastic, Fallout 4 especially.

XBox Won. Sorry to say it but they really did. Backwards compatibility, actual AAA exclusives, Cortana updates and Windows 10 coming to XBox One, early access games, mods for Fallout 4 for free on Xbox One, Rare game collection for $30, indie titles that were actually spectacular and unique like Cup Head. What else could a gamer ask for? Oh right, exclusive betas and DLC for games that people care about. Just a little cherry on top of all of that. Sony had no chance man. I feel bad. All I took from Sony was "Look we got a Demo that doesn't work (surprise?) and here we have a game that was a copy of another game only downgraded."
Ricky Garcia So what exactly did Microsoft have that blew everything out of the water? The only thing I can think of was Gears 4. The Hololens was cool and definitely the biggest announcement was backwards compatibility. Halo 5 was shown again for the 3rd E3 in a row. Cuphead was a fun little game. But nothing astounding. I'll definitely take Horizon, SFV, and FF7 over all those anyday. Hell even a broken demo of Uncharted 4 was better than most of Microsoft's stuff.

This year has been fantastic! E3 was awesome and they focused this time on the GAMES, and every conference was great! But Sony just took the cake, it was amazing! The conference was probably the best ever in the best E3 ever

Sony conference was weak honestly Microsoft won between the two and I don't even own an Xbox. They have a new good looking u I and I wish ps4 had upgraded its interface as well. Backwards compatibility and holo lens really stole the show.

Teammamba4life Why? Most PS users didn't need to get rid of their PS3 system because they have more use even after the PS4 came out. Backwards capability is basically the same old thing "play the old stuff so we don't have to make it new". What is the future in backward compatibility? Xbox people are so taken over this "new" function that they seem to really miss the point that everyone isn't even talking about the games but just talking about this "new" function. It seems more desperate then anything.

Andrew Markus No I just prefer online mulitplayer style better. Online experience makes for better gameplay for me. It's boring to sit through a singleplayer campaign and then you finish it and there's nothing else.
This is the best Sony conference I've ever seen!!! The joy and memory are amazing, especially when the FF 7 remake and Shenmue 3 was announced, the audience is very happy and all fans around the world is the same, this is the best applause for Sony since their announce the ps4 price in the markets... The last guardian and the horizon is absolutely amazing and no doubt for the Uncharted 4 is always awesome and brilliant !!! Thx Sony can't wait for another surprise

And also the whole vibe Microsoft has of calling games exclusives when they're actually not. *Cough* *Cough* Tomb Raider *Cough* *Cough* Old School Fan Service - Sony While Microsoft announced Gears of War Remake and Rare Replay 30 Games Collection. Sony just blew up with old school stuff. If Final Fantasy VII didn’t already blow the roof off the Los Angeles Convention Center then the announcement of Shenmue 3 certainly managed it. Clear victory for Sony. Least Industry Bullshit - Microsoft The biggest offender was Sony announcement’s of Shenmue 3. Yes, it’s very exciting that Shenmue 3 is finally being created, but rather than the reveal of a game, it was instead a reveal of a Kickstarter campaign in which Sony asked viewers and attendees to pledge their own money to a game they announced at their own press conference, before cutting to an announcement of a multi-million dollar deal with Activision to secure the rights to bring Black Ops 3‘s map packs to the PS4 first. What is that about? Diversity of Games - Sony While Microsoft put up a strong showing on the indie game front and made good on their promise to deliver plenty of games, Sony’s line-up simply looked more interesting. Maybe it was the lack of gameplay footage on Microsoft’s behalf, but Sony’s unveiling ofthe hugely ambitious No Man’s Sky, the announcement of Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last Guardian‘s return and of course Nathan Drake's return too formed an E3 press conference that truly had something for everyone. Microsoft’s line-up was solid, but Sony’s looked that little bit more interesting. VR - Microsoft Microsoft’s presentation of the HoloLens was certainly more exciting than the trailer we were shown for the Project Morpheus, but the pricing of the technology is what will really matter when it comes to gamers. With many having already been fooled into thinking motion-controllers were going to be a big part of gaming’s future and laying down cash for the Kinect and PS Move, they’re right to be skeptical of how Microsoft and Sony are going to make use of the HoloLens and Project Morpheus. But with that being said, Microsoft’s headset is shaping up better right now. Conclusion E3 2015 was truly all about the games, and while some amount of time was spent talking about stuff we don’t rightly care about such as Spotify subscription numbers and PlayStation Vue, all of that paled in comparison to the amount of great games that were on show. Microsoft certainly put on a tremendous showing, and earned some brownie points for their UI redesign and the announcement of Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, but Sony edged it thanks to its number of surprise announcements and range of great-looking, diverse games, though Xbox One owners won’t have much to complain about. This is a great time for video games no matter what platform you choose to play them on. Winner is Sony.

The DRM thing is still hurting Xbox, as is Sony marketing many multi-plats as 'only on playstation'. But I reckon the gap will close unless Sony focus more on NEW AAA exclusives and add in free backwards compatibility.
I'm going to say Microsoft's and Sony's are pretty much on par. Nothing special, a few exclusives, that's about it. Both Sony and Microsoft had a good E3 showcase this year. I enjoyed all of it. I'm proud of how both companies continue to evolve their tech and ideas to both powerful consoles. PS4 and Xbox One have come along way, and are continuing to get better. Congrats Sony, and Microsoft. Keep up the hard work. I look forward to playing great games that both companies have to offer.

Xbox's backwards compatibility only will work on about 100 games by the holiday season(which is nothing compared to all of the Xbox 360 games), but you will see more games with backwards compatibility. By then, hopefully Sony will have backwards compatibility, too. So I wouldn't say Xbox remade almost all of the games in one move.

alex Debroux Same developer. Team Ico is famous for making very artistic games. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Those 2 are part of the same lore, though I don't know if the Last Guardian has anything to do with it. This seems to be a hybrid of the 2 games, which is more than enough to bring back the fans of those games. It could be said that Team Ico was the "artistic indie developer" of it's time. I personally loved SotC for it's music, atmosphere and boss design.

battlefront looks freakin' incredible. That physical rendering and photo-whatever stuff apparently wins. Looks incredible. And split screen is SOOOO good. So many games are not doing splitscreen anymore.
Chipp aH I will never understand gamers who like Halo...seriously, the most overrated franchise in gaming history. I own an Xbox 360 and every Halo I played sucked in my opinion. I HATE the artstyle, I hate the weapons and the dull characters. They want to deliver a mature story but the game looks like a weird, colorful Michael Bay cartoon. Gears is better, but also highly overrated.

I like Fps too. But, it's an over saturated market. The people who tend to favor FPS over anything else are the "bro type" of people who can't play any other gameplay that requires a little more thought or tells a good story. They just want to play a game with a moving target. They also want to mock games they are too simple minded to play.
The last guardian? Never heard of it. Horizon: Zero Dawn better have a good explanation for how you can kill machines with bow and arrows. That's stupid. But if there is a good explanation, it could be a game of the year candidate. Hitman. I found the last one rather boring. Please quit trying to make every game a multiplayer live game... Destiny? Bungie is dead to me. FF7 Remake... I teared up a bit. I'm so happy. And then Shenmue 3... I can't take anymore emotions right now. I need a break... Call Of Duty: Wall running? Seriously? Please don't do this to the fans. This is even more a copy of Titan fall then AW. This looks like shit (Not the graphics). Battlefront 3: Could be fun. I don't know. Uncharted 4 will make microsoft choke on there Tomb Raider deal. LOL at microsoft.
+ZeaMoore4 I also teared up with Shenmue 3 and FF7. I would love to play Battlefront 3, but I'm a disaster in shooter games. The last Guardian picked my interest and No Man's Sky. I'll definitely have to break my piggy bank and buy me a PS4.
I just love how Sony thought of switching the audio the presenters were telling and the sound from the games specifically to the stream. During all other press conferences the audio was used from the hall itself, resulting in an irritating echo. A tiny detail that definitely proves that Sony is all about quality and are simply - the best.
Wow. I've been impressed with E3 by both consoles. Both Sony and Microsoft had an amazing E3. I will definitely buy an Xbox One and PS4 along the line. For now though. i'm sticking with PC.

XBox Won. Sorry to say it but they really did. Backwards compatibility, actual AAA exclusives, Cortana updates and Windows 10 coming to XBox One, early access games, mods for Fallout 4 for free on Xbox One, Rare game collection for $30, indie titles that were actually spectacular and unique like Cup Head. What else could a gamer ask for? Oh right, exclusive betas and DLC for games that people care about. Just a little cherry on top of all of that. Sony had no chance man. I feel bad. All I took from Sony was "Look we got a Demo that doesn't work (surprise?) and here we have a game that was a copy of another game only downgraded."

The Hololens was cool and definitely the biggest announcement was backwards compatibility. Halo 5 was shown again for the 3rd E3 in a row. Cuphead was a fun little game. But nothing astounding. I'll definitely take Horizon, SFV, and FF7 over all those anyday. Hell even a broken demo of Uncharted 4 was better than most of Microsoft's stuff.

This is the best Sony conference I've ever seen!!! The joy and memory are amazing, especially when the FF 7 remake and Shenmue 3 was announced, the audience is very happy and all fans around the world is the same, this is the best applause for Sony since their announce the ps4 price in the markets... The last guardian and the horizon is absolutely amazing and no doubt for the Uncharted 4 is always awesome and brilliant !!! Thx Sony can't wait for another surprise

Exclusives Winner - Sony
All-in-all both Microsoft and Sony announced a bunch of exclusives, but Sony nudged ahead by virtue of them having more actual gameplay to show. With Microsoft once again reliant upon cinematic trailers in order to reveal their upcoming releases, Sony accompanied almost all of their newly announced games with gameplay footage, leaving me a lot more excited by what’s around the corner for the PS4. And also the whole vibe Microsoft has of calling games exclusives when they're actually not. *Cough* *Cough* Tomb Raider *Cough* *Cough*
Old School Fan Service - Sony
While Microsoft announced Gears of War Remake and Rare Replay 30 Games Collection. Sony just blew up with old school stuff. If Final Fantasy VII didn’t already blow the roof off the Los Angeles Convention Center then the announcement of Shenmue 3 certainly managed it. Clear victory for Sony.
Least Industry Bullshit - Microsoft
The biggest offender was Sony announcement’s of Shenmue 3. Yes, it’s very exciting that Shenmue 3 is finally being created, but rather than the reveal of a game, it was instead a reveal of a Kickstarter campaign in which Sony asked viewers and attendees to pledge their own money to a game they announced at their own press conference, before cutting to an announcement of a multi-million dollar deal with Activision to secure the rights to bring Black Ops 3‘s map packs to the PS4 first. What is that about?
Diversity of Games - Sony
While Microsoft put up a strong showing on the indie game front and made good on their promise to deliver plenty of games, Sony’s line-up simply looked more interesting. Maybe it was the lack of gameplay footage on Microsoft’s behalf, but Sony’s unveiling ofthe hugely ambitious No Man’s Sky, the announcement of Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last Guardian‘s return and of course Nathan Drake's return too formed an E3 press conference that truly had something for everyone. Microsoft’s line-up was solid, but Sony’s looked that little bit more interesting.
VR - Microsoft
Microsoft’s presentation of the HoloLens was certainly more exciting than the trailer we were shown for the Project Morpheus, but the pricing of the technology is what will really matter when it comes to gamers. With many having already been fooled into thinking motion-controllers were going to be a big part of gaming’s future and laying down cash for the Kinect and PS Move, they’re right to be skeptical of how Microsoft and Sony are going to make use of the HoloLens and Project Morpheus. But with that being said, Microsoft’s headset is shaping up better right now.
Conclusion
E3 2015 was truly all about the games, and while some amount of time was spent talking about stuff we don’t rightly care about such as Spotify subscription numbers and PlayStation Vue, all of that paled in comparison to the amount of great games that were on show. Microsoft certainly put on a tremendous showing, and earned some brownie points for their UI redesign and the announcement of Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, but Sony edged it thanks to its number of surprise announcements and range of great-looking, diverse games, though Xbox One owners won’t have much to complain about. This is a great time for video games no matter what platform you choose to play them on. Winner is Sony.

The DRM thing is still hurting Xbox, as is Sony marketing many multi-plats as 'only on playstation'. But I reckon the gap will close unless Sony focus more on NEW AAA exclusives and add in free backwards compatibility.

I'm going to say Microsoft's and Sony's are pretty much on par. Nothing special, a few exclusives, that's about it. I guess that just leaves Nintendo which I believe Nintendo can easily beat Microsoft's and Sony's press conferences if they just deliver the games right away.

Both Sony and Microsoft had a good E3 showcase this year. I enjoyed all of it. I'm proud of how both companies continue to evolve their tech and ideas to both powerful consoles. PS4 and Xbox One have come along way, and are continuing to get better. Congrats Sony, and Microsoft. Keep up the hard work. I look forward to playing great games that both companies have to offer.

Xbox's backwards compatibility only will work on about 100 games by the holiday season(which is nothing compared to all of the Xbox 360 games), but you will see more games with backwards compatibility. By then, hopefully Sony will have backwards compatibility, too. So I wouldn't say Xbox remade almost all of the games in one move.

alex Debroux Same developer. Team Ico is famous for making very artistic games. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Those 2 are part of the same lore, though I don't know if the Last Guardian has anything to do with it. This seems to be a hybrid of the 2 games, which is more than enough to bring back the fans of those games. It could be said that Team Ico was the "artistic indie developer" of it's time. I personally loved SotC for it's music, atmosphere and boss design.

I like Fps too. But, it's an over saturated market. The people who tend to favor FPS over anything else are the "bro type" of people who can't play any other gameplay that requires a little more thought or tells a good story. As someone who owns an Xbox. I have to say, very happy to see Last Guardian finally being released and I hope PS4 owners enjoy it :)
I just love how Sony thought of switching the audio the presenters were telling and the sound from the games specifically to the stream. During all other press conferences the audio was used from the hall itself, resulting in an irritating echo.
A tiny detail that definitely proves that Sony is all about quality and are simply - the best.
Music is so epic. Can't wait for another Ueda game. ICO and SotC are legendary games.
