Speaking of Tarantino, he said something about David Fincher which I thought was really beautiful; so many directors who never write their own movies eventually lose their voice, or 'signature' fingerprint that made them special. But not David - a David Fincher film is so noticeably his own despite him never writing the scripts for it.
@@bubububnever It’s an interesting theory. I suspect Fincher is spared of that tendency because of his preoccupation with psychology. It’s a fertile motif that he can explore forever and I guess is his authorial “voice” or perspective through works he may not have penned. His grasp of the human psyche in his work and on set is startling and frankly terrifying hahah
@@TonySoprano08 haha so true. I’ve had the same thought. There’s something about the cool calculation under the wry smile that makes you sense he is drinking up your entire biography through the way you hold a glass. For our sake, thank god for movies 😅
Gone girl, panic room, Seven, fight club, girl with the dragon tattoo, and the killer ALL have his noticeable dark tone and style and I love it. ❤ absolutely one of my FAVORITE DIRECTORS
As someone who appreciates a lot of his films and owns the criterion edition of the game (to salvage SOMETHING worth appreciating), that film is a tortuous, inconsistent, vitriolic mess. His appreciation of Bob Fosse and George Roy Hill are taste tho. He is based and New Hollywood pilled. The game, however, don’t know how that script gets any love
I don't really have a favourite David Fincher movie, I have most of them on DVD. I will say the three movies he gave us in the 2010s (The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl) are absolutely masterful works
7 is one of my personal favorites. I may not agree or love his entire catalog, I can confidently say Mindhunter should not have been cancelled and I will fight every single Netflix executive who made that decision with no hesitation.
Very underrated. And by the way, i loved The Killer. I know this is a fantasy, but i would love to see an Alien film directed by the real today's Fincher. The suspense and technical perfection that he could create... baby, i want it. (But if i have to choose, obviously, give me Mindhunter 3.)
It sounds like he would grueling to work with as an actor with an average of 25-65 takes & sometimes over 100. With that much to work with it's no surprise the finished work is what it is.
Love a good Fincher TH-cam video, but AKW and Fincher weren't friends by the time Se7en was written and it came through Fincher's agent or manager. At least that's what he says in every interview about it.

@@olivercoulter260lmaoo if he wasn’t a one of a kind filmmaker - he’d be either a serial killer or working for the FBI lol

fincher is such a genius, almost all his films are fantastic and im so glad to see that he gets to do what he wants

Hell yeah, n***a
Underrated director. Most of his work should never be underestimated. My favorite movie of his is Fight Club
@@TNTMikey Have you seen Social Network?
@@TopHotBoxerSe7en is better.
Zodiac all the way
Gone girls better
The fact Fight Club was made with 20th Century Fox makes his story so much better
Seven, fight club, gone girl, curious case of Benjamin button
Netflix: Oh do you like Mindhunter? Okay, we're cancelling it...
Exactly 🤦🏽♂️ I want more Mindhunter
“Oh you guys fucking love DareDevil? Cancelled that too.”
FIGHT CLUB!
came here to say THIS
Fincher is always tasteful.. hes got good range and i love his work
Love how you missed out The Game and Panic Room in Finchers hto streak, i understand not putting Panic Room but missing out The Game is crazy

Finch’s is one of the greats. He definitely left an impression in filmmaking. I would love to see more of his work more often.
Huge fan of the man. The Killer was friggin brilliant and I want more.

Greatest living filmmaker
The review of this film feels kind of more like someone reviewing a film about violence that has no understanding of violence
my favourite fincher film is socail network
What are you on about this was Vincent Wards film for starters Fincher was last minute last choice late replacement.
Alien 3 is my favorite Fincher. Film.
His greatest work would have been Mindhunter but sadly it isnt even complete
Dragon tattoo!!

Thanks for the clarification.
Alien 3 directors cut please! I don't care even if it is 7 hours
But I’ll tell u who lost… Us, Finch drops projects like hot potatoes 😂
Se7en, especially Lust and Sloth. Fight Club, Vogue. (Alien 3, no.)
Don't give a fuck about haters, I loved ALIEN 3 - the most hated film of Fincher. Love you Fincher 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
