    I think that a lot of the cuts made sense and overall the deck is fun/good. I think going for a lower curve is good, as swinging damage face is always more reliable than "But what if I reanimated this 7cmc creature!".
    One card I'd recommend that is a pet card of mine is "Order of the Sacred Torch" which has been errata'd to Human Knight. Its been in and out of my decks over the years and is one of the main reasons I got my hands on this precon, so that it finally has a home

    Can't belive to see a 100$ upgrade without entomb. With this Commander cast it after blockers are declared, bring a doublestrike knight in your graveyard. Reanmite it with the first strike trigger, get another knight back. Especially with the pump effects this is such a strong combination

      Legit the first card I added when I did my personal upgrades. Second one was Silverblade Paladin, 3rd Guardian of the Faith. I also chose to go with all 3 M20 Cavaliers as well though.

    i dont think you are looking enough at the draw discard ability of your commander, you cut all these creatures because of too high cmc, not considering you might not even need to pay that cmc

    • @stevenkey7183
      @stevenkey7183 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are very correct in the fact that our commander has that’s awesome recursion built in. My thought behind removing the higher CMC cards is just that the value really isn’t enough for how I wanted the deck to play. Not to mention hoping the commander
      A. Gets through to do damage to a player
      Or
      B. Didn’t get hit with spot removal or a board wipe due to it having such a strong ability.
      I hope this helped with why I made certain choices!

      @@stevenkey7183 with all the pumping we get from other knights and artifacts , big cmc arnt needed. Also any phucking flying token ruins the recursion.

    Ethernsworn has proven to be to be extremely useful as a 3 mana kill a creature. I have successfully used it to leave open, a big creature swing at my opponent that would remove said player from the game, and player removal is best removal, no trample on that big guy and they have 1 blocker.... "At the end of declaring blockers phase, I'll just destroy your 1 blockers...." and it's repeatable? Ends up being a big threat especially with open mana.
    Something I also didn't hear discussed - Sidar has first strike, meaning during the combat damage phase, he assigns damage first. Mean you can fetch a creature from the graveyard to boost your non-first strike double strike. And giving double strike, means the trigger happens twice. Rules: 702.4, 702.7, and 510.

  • @ianleggett8429
    @ianleggett8429 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Interesting you went for lowering the mana value of the deck. I would naturally think with his ability to loot a big cost creature then cheat him into play on combat damage I would have kept some of the larger knights.

    • @stevenkey7183
      @stevenkey7183 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That was definitely an option I had in my mind but ultimately I wanted to build it as a way to pump out creatures and smack in for tons of damage while still having food recursion as well.

    Upon first impression, after seeing the face commanders of this set I thought Cavalry Charge had potential to be one of the best in this set, with the content it includes and some upgrades, it appears to be up there with Divine Convocation. Funnily enough my playgroup enjoys running more than two board wipes so this upgrade decklist looks to be in line with their playstyle.
    Also curious to how Syr Elenora would look like in her own Commander deck. I'm a sucker for mono colored Commander decks like Octavia and Papa Nurgle's Plague Marine Primarch, -AKA Mortarion.

      They may not guarantee pumps on the knights you have on the board, but the synergy is there and the passive buff is extremely strong.

    Personally I'm building around Elenda the creature advantage you can gain off her is crazy ( you do however need to get some extra life generation to offset the gradual killing yourself ) Plus it's a beatface strategy that draws lots of cards. Also you can if one feels the need run a vampire subtheme since there is a weirdly high number of Vampire Knights

    @MrGrimord ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I really don't think is a good idea to remove Elenda and Azor and Silverwing Squadron since they bring lots of value on the battlefield and you can easily cheat them with your commander. They are literally your best cards to bring back with your commander. But I pretty much agree with most of your other suggestions to upgrade this deck. Can't wait for the $300 upgrade tho.

      If a Knight attacks you automatically draw 2nd card due to Sidar’s eminence ability, so worst case it lets you draw a 3rd card each turn.
      Best case you get 1-2 knight tokens and 1-2 extra cards each turn cycle for a 5 mana investment up front.

    Agree with the additions and most of the cuts. Some of the cuts I disagree with. Aethersworn adjudicator and Vona are low-key very good. They are repeatable removal, even if slightly higher costed, on an appropriate creature type. They've stopped other people locking me/others out of the game with enchantments/artifacts. Those strategies are 100% this decks weakness
