- Hey everyone, hope everyone is having a fantastic day today! I have been very busy lately and apologize that I haven't uploaded in a month. Today, we go over on how to remove all the trim panels on the interior of any 2016+ Toyota Tacoma, it's nothing hard but it is a process removing everything and wrapping it all, so sit back, relax and enjoy the video!

Exactly what I was looking for to get the console out to mount a cb with bolt and not the sketch way.
Thanks Fabian, really appreciate the video. All still accurate for the 2019s. The one part of the video I wish was on there was the removal of the gray panel behind the A/C dials. I ended up popping it out from behind the entertainment unit. I used plastidip instead of the wrap so after taping everything off, I realized if you pop the panel off just to the left of the A/C panel, the panel can be pulled out simply and seperated from the A/C housing. New to the Taco world, look forward to more videos!

If you have disconnected the battery, why is the red LED still flashing on the dash?

Did you break some clips when you pull the center shift console?
Practicing the "do as I say, not as I do" method... note Fabian never disconnected his battery (bad habit)... the driver info center never went dark, and the anti-thief light kept flashing. Always always always disconnect the battery ground cable first (then positive if being really safe) before disassembling any component with an airbag attached.
Please do make an engine bay detail, Ive been wanted to clean mines but kinda scared I might mess something up.

I know this is late but where did you get your wrapping paper thinking of wrapping my dash as well?
How can I remove the AC control plate it it only clips?
For the climate control/4wd row, were you able to remove those switches/buttons to wrap it? I just think it’ll be really hard to wrap around the knobs.
Is it normal for the center console to move a bit? If you push on it?
Great video! I have a question about the wiring behind the AC console. I bought a Tacoma and it doesn’t have heated seats, wondering if I can purchase the center console you have (found the part through Toyota) and add heated seats with a hook up to it?
Thanks for watching Ryan and to be honest, I couldn't tell you that answer that is something I would call Parts and Service and see what they tell you or a local Toyota Expert in your area.
Ryan James martin Weaver: whats the pn for the climate control?
When you removed the matte black columns between the side windows did it come off clean or was there a lot of residue?
I had residue left over inside the door where the wrap was tucked around the door but other than that not much. I let my truck sit out in the heat all day then I peeled it off like nothing, that was my method since I didn't have a heat gun at the moment.
Ef that shit the dark gray looks good in my eyes now.

Matthew Reed yeah Matthew, my truck is a Limited and from what I’ve heard the Limiteds come with the brown leather!
did you wrap the airvent and cupholder chrome as well?
The air vent and cupholder were originally chrome but I bought a decal kit that covered those areas to have them black instead of chrome.

were you able to seperate the climate control into two pieces or did you have to wrap it as a single piece. also where do you access to remove it. instructions wasnt too clear.
What brand of wrap did you use?
it was 3M 1080 Air Release Film in the Matte Black color

Richard Bennett they should be Richard! The only major difference I know about the 2018 models compared to my 2017 model is the new Toyota safety features and sensors that should be in the grill other than that man, everything should be identical!

do they all come with the door wrapped matte black. i cant tell if mine are or not
ryan m hey Ryan, I want to say they should but I just looked on Toyota’s website and it shows that access cabs without the matte black wrap only the double cabs (4 doors) have them. But I may be mistaken, just going off their website man!

Fabian Gonzalez It’s throttle response instantaneously. Really good. Once you get it you’ll be like, how come I didn’t do this earlier. I really like it for my truck. My truck is the same color as yours by the way. LOL. There’s another product called pedal commander. But I got the sprint three

If you want to get the black inside door handles, find someone with a SR or SR5 that would like to trade with you. I guarantee you that you will find someone who would love to have chrome handles. Win-win!
You're right about that instead of paying Toyota $50 for each handle lol. Just need to find someone to trade with me now!
Whenever you're on TacomaWorld look for someone in your area with a SR or SR5. I guarantee you will find that one of them would love to trade with you. That's how my brother-in-law and I got our chrome handles.

I appreciate the effort SO MUCH for you to make this video but the entire video was out of focus - it was unwatchable! :(
You'd be better off strapping a gopro to a headstrap and wearing it. That way you'd have quality video, minimal shaking and autofocus. You're doing good work but your vlog rig is murder.
I appreciate the feedback Kent and I know when I was editing the video, it was so out of focus but thankfully I finally found the charger for my GoPro Hero 4 so I'll start using that and I actually just recently purchased a head strap so stay tuned for better quality! Hopefully LOL
