I picked up a rib rack from Green Mountain smokers. The whole 10 racks of ribs and it fits perfect on the silver back. I did nine racks also for 26 people at a potluck. I had half a rack left over towards the end, and the kid that has never had ribs polished off the last half a rack. it’s funny he didn’t know if you’d like ribs or not I guess he did!!!
If cow cover is Kosmos salt pepper garlic All Purpose seasoning then you should put it on first and then put your killer bee honey BBQ rub following the cow cover...
@@SmokeyCue looking for our first pellet smoker and am seriously considering the Grilla Silverbac. Have you had any issue with the stainless cover not fitting properly? Appreciate any insight you can offer. Thanks for your time!

Do you know how much food you can fit on the Chimp with the jerky tray? I’m wondering if the Chimp would work for a family of 5
I don’t have the jerky racks yet. When I cook for five people on the chimp it gets a bit tight but it’s do able
@@SmokeyCue that works for me! Thanks for the info, time to get the Chimp.
What happens in-between wrapping the ribs in foil in the kitchen and showing them with foil removed back on the grill?
What happen there is I just unwrapped them and remove the juices and put them back on the grill.
@@SmokeyCue How long did you leave them wrapped up in the foil?
I left them in the foil till they felt Pliable which is about an hour or so I go by feel
I'm thinking about buying one can you do me a favor and see if a magnet sticks to the SS parts (trying to see if they use true 304 SS)
On the cooking grates?
@@SmokeyCue anything that is labeled SS - like the top, heat shield, etc.
Ok will do
I checked the lid, cooking grate and hopper cover with a magnet it didn’t stick I didn’t get down to the drip tray or heat deflector.
@@SmokeyCue Thanks for that - since it didn't stick, that means they're using the good stuff the 304 SS which will not rust......thanks again
that looks great man
Those ribs came out great. Thanks for watching.
Why Grilla over Rec Tec?
When I had questions about the grills I called both Grilla and Rec Tec Grilla grills called back Rec Tec didn’t.
That's why we chose Smokin Brothers. The owner called and chatted. Gave me his personal cell phone number to call.

Have you owned or considered other brands other than Grilla?
I do have two Yoders one YS640 which has the ACS upgrade installed and a YS640s.

I haven’t had any problem with the stainless steel lid fitting properly on either the Silverbac or the Chimp so far.
