Dude, I am intrigued on why your channel only has 11,000 subscribers. This is insane! the level of production here, you should have at least 1 million!1!❤
This is the best “demo” channel I’ve ever encountered. Idc what the product is or if I’m even interested in it, your videos just make me smile. Thanks for bringing the fun back to the TH-cam guitar community. It sure beats all the “tone” snobbery, gatekeeping and arguing we get. God bless and have a great weekend!
So rad that you're enjoying the videos. Gotta keep it upbeat and fun! I think of TH-cam as entertainment first, and then education second. If I am not entertaining you guys then I am failing!
Discovered this Channel back in December when searching for iridium tutorials after I had already given up on it for almost a year, and about to sell it. Not only did I keep the iridium but I also got a RevivalDrive. Best two pedals I have ever bought. Best guitar channel by far! Alex, can’t wait for your channel to explode!
Thank you so much and glad to hear the iridium and revival drive worked for you. They are fantastic pieces of gear and cover so much ground. Thank you for your support! More to come!
Absolutely incredible. Alex your channel is the only videos of this length I’ll watch. Absolutely loved this one! You’re so likeable and an amazing player. Origin should be paying you a fortune for this. You totally nailed the 90s sitcom vibe too. Made me quite nostalgic!
Isn't if interesting how the 90s sitcoms have such a specific tone and feel. I felt nostalgic as well as I was editing this one. Good times back then, simple times. Thanks again for watching. Catch you next video!
@@SuperdangerStudios Your playing is so tasteful. I loved the video you did on triads and It'd be fantastic to see some more tuition videos at some point. :-)
Superdanger Studios churn out great quality vids man! I’ve purchased York Audio IRs and Origin Effect pedals (and enjoying them!!) because I discovered your reviews.. so thank you 🙏 and keep doing what you do man!
Yay! So good even my other half was watching it over my shoulder this time, rightly entertained by the retro buddy movie/feelgood vibes. Beautifully produced and brilliantly written again - seriously the writing just keeps on getting better, and the you are hitting the audio-visuals out of the park every time. Not only a great demo of a great pedal, but uplifting entertainment too. Love it and the playing this time was on another level, especially that Eagles-style track near the end cleverly designed to avoid a copyright strike!
Uplifting! That’s exactly what I’m going for. I really am trying to make stuff that makes people laugh and stoked to play their gear. Was nervous about a potential copyright problem w the eagles but I think I’m clear! Haha. Cheers and thanks again for watching!
another great video, I just parted ways with my Keeley to see how I live without some compression on the board...... its not going that well and this is VERY well timed lol
Just watched your DCX Boost video, which I really liked . And was searching info on the new Cali76 Fet compressor. Bingo 😂 Seems you're on the same journey for tone as mine 😊. I think I'm going to put Cali Fet Comp and DCX Boost as my 2 first pedals, some kind of MIAB as number 3, Keeley Dark Side #4, and Providence Delay # 5. And eat pasta for the next 3 months 😂
Dude, seriously, where the hell did you come from? You're production value is so damn high!! And also one of the best presenters on TH-cam, period. Great video too! Question though... why do 76 style compressors do that volume step up if you really sustain the chords for a longer time? I heard that same thing on TPS with a different Cali76 offering. It's weird...
Wow thanks so much for the kind words. As for the 76 sound that’s when the comp lets go after engaging. It can be mediated by using the attack and release knobs so that it doesn’t happen though and adding more dry so that the comp signal is reduced. On its own it sounds kinda crazy but in a mix whether live or recording it can be really helpful to “sit” in the mix better.
@@SuperdangerStudios ahh yeah, I think it is the vocal mic. I'm hearing that same type of volume increase in some of your other videos. I thought it was something inherent in the 76 because TPS had something similar happen in one of their videos, but in their case, it was something with the pedal itself.
Dude thank you so much. Your videos made me buy the tone king gremlin! It sounded so good in your vids I just had to get one. Thanks again for the kind words man. Hope to jam with you someday!
Your videos are always incredible. This is no exception. I really have 0 interest in the pedal, but I watch because your creativity and artistry is so great. In the guitar/ recording world, I hope you continue to grow the channel but I also hope people hire you for production, video & brand strategy. These are one heck of a resume!
It's the precious Sunday after a hard working week, should I practice guitar or watch my new fav youtube channel? This is an easy one. I am on the couch enjoy the show.

These videos are incredible, man. Awesome job all the way around. I gotta get one of these. Sold my compact bass a few months ago and I’ve missed it. They have added some really nice features.
Huge fan of the work! Would love your take one day on some of the popular “all-in-one” modelers like the Helix, Neural, etc. Also on a plugin or two like the Mixwave Benson or Milkman sets. You’ve got such an entertaining and informative perspective, and there are a ton of “digital-native” players like myself that would benefit and enjoy your thoughts here. Keep up the great work!
I will see if I can get one in the studio! I'd love to try a Neural or Helix. I have positive grid and amplitube but I should really try the new breed of plugins. I'll start asking those brands if they want to get down.
@@SuperdangerStudios it’s fantastic! I spent about 10 minutes dialing it in. I went from hardly ever using compression to having it on for pretty much every preset in the Gigrig G3!
Mr. Superdanger, we tested the pilot episode of Mad About Fuzz in Encino. The network will pick up the show, but we want to rename it to Mad About Goldie (since he's a fuzz anyway). The original title didn't play with the 23-29 year old demographic and confused the senior viewers as they thought you were talking about peaches. Have your machine call our machine to work out the details.
Todd, great to hear. I was worried that since we hadn't heard since the summit last week that your team was going to let the rights expire. To be honest, I dreaded bringing this concept to TNT or TBS as I feel that your team understood the magic of this concept; it;s not just another 3 camera show. As for your notes I will talk to our mgmt and we can sort out the legalities of renaming at least insofar as it applies to merchandising which, as I am sure you're aware, comprises a significant portion of overseas revenue. Again, I think all of this can be worked out over the next week. Let's make a show!
@@SuperdangerStudios Mr. S. Danger, thanks for your reply. We have a few more notes. Actually your original title can work (thus simplifying international merch right) with a minor tweak here and there. Instead of a sitcom, think procedural cop show (fuzz - get it?) with a goth-romantic twist. This will bring in the Twilight fans as well as the super-important tween neo-vampire audience. We’re thinking you’d move to exec producer and we’d have Kristen Stewart star as Ms. S. danger, and Jeff Bridges would be her grizzled veteran partner (think goth-Lebowski). Of course you’d retain all creative control except writing, directing, editing, merch, and, ummm…ok, we’d retain control of everything but you’d still get an exec producer credit. At least on the first episode. So do we have a deal? Great!
I just purchased the Empress Bass Compressor yesterday. I’m not going to sweat it, because it’s s good pedal nonetheless. This looks like a good pedal, too.
I'm enjoying your demos. They're creative and really informative. I loved the Iridium and Dream 65 series. In this video, can you clarify what's causing the volume to jump higher at 9:14, 10:32, 11:38, 13:50? Is that coming from the compressor or something else? Also, that pedal steel lick at 14:21 is perfect! I may steal that 🙂
Yes that is when the room mic comes back on for my dialogue. It is not the pedal or anything. I have a sennheiser shotgun mic pointed down at my head just out of frame and it picks up the guitar sound too when I’m speaking. I try to speak only when the guitar is quiet but sometimes I forget.
I noticed that i need to connect my good headphones that are flat, not boosting any frequensies, to really hear the differencies in the audio. This pedal really is a whale, and i have become Ahab. Awesome video, again. Thank you so much.
@@SuperdangerStudios compact deluxe and stacked versions...when I got my first one, it was akin to trying to crack the code on the enigma machine... I didn't have a clue in to understanding how compression worked...and now my understanding is better...
Yes some kind of switcher or loop pedal would have to be implemented. Although I’m considering throwing one of my other compressors in the front and having the cali76 last in the chain for when I record. But for live I’d probably just have this in front of everything
