I just made this costume using your directions and it turned out perfect! Instead of two domes, I just used one dome and put the other on top of my bike helmet and taped it down. It's more stable this way. Thank you for the video!

The costume came out looking really good. I have always been hesitant at making a No Face costume for Halloween (because of the difficulty), but I might just do it this year!

This is a perfect budget friendly costume! I followed the tutorial and here are some suggestions for anyone who would like to also recreate it.
    - DO MEASUREMENTS OF YOUR FACE PRIOR TO MAKING THE MASK! For me I did 7 inches for width and 9 inches for length. Its different for different people.
    - Make sure your mask sketch on the balloon is incredibly accurate! This the most important step, since everything else follows it. Measure a comfortable length for your eyes on the mask’s mouth.
    - THE EYES! OMG THE EYES!! They were S U C H a trouble for me. Make sure you draw on those almost identical to each other. It was TORTURE trying to fix it on the paper mache part.
    - Let the paper mache dry completely before removing from the balloon. Overnight will do. It will rip if you remove it any sooner!
    - This is optional, but it really saved my project. Cut up printer paper (or any blank white paper) into big strips, and paste it on in a few layers. It will mask the previous layers, making the whole mask appear “smooth”. You’ll still get those “veins” from the paper wrinkling, but it’s a lot better than several lines.
    - Instead of painting black paper, I used black felt paper and hot glued them behind the eyes.
    - I used a bike helmet for one of the forehead fillings. I only made one of those head fillers and taped it to my helmet
    - You can also use window screening for the eye part, just wash it throughly.
Hopes this helps! Happy Halloween 🎃

The mask turned out well. I can't say I like how she did everything. The mask over your face isn't necessary. Some mesh on back of the mouth hole would've been enough. Same things you'd use to build a Totoro mascot costume you can use to build a No Face. Often times fabric by the yard is cheaper than buying a sheet. Check local fabric stores online if you don't have any luck at your neighborhood Good Will. I used a really large bowel to shape the domed head of my No Face. Used a thin layer of plastic and resin to pour over the bowl and shape. The mask I made much the same way. Bit larger. To attach the mask to the bowl I repurposed an old bike helmet. To keep from seeing though the mouth hole and eye holes, a thin layer of black mesh fabric glued to the back of the mask. As for the fabric part of the build, take the time to learn to sew a bit. It's a useful skill and the costume holds up better if you plan to re-use it. Better durability on an item keeps it out of our land fills. By using resin for the bowl over my head I've a makeshift umbrella if it starts to rain. And it's light weight. Using it for the face mask it's more durable, better quality than cardboard. The quality turns out much better and you don't need much to do it. By building it this way you can also set it out on your lawn the next year, use it for a lawn decoration. Use a light so it's visible at night. And a small battery operated mascot fan inside it so it moves.

Just wanted to say, thank you for making this video. I made it last halloween and it looked very nice. My back just had to endure walking around the neighbourhood trick or treating 😅.

she used the one that was x3 the size of her head, the other ones, same size as her head, are to add length to the character

    Honest question:
Why do people make the mask so big? Is it a matter of preference?
When my daughter was 15, she introduced me to Ghibli movies and Spirited Away was the first one. I'll be going to C2E2 for the first time ever this upcoming April (with her and now she's 17) and I've chosen to make No Face my very first Cosplay. However, the vision I had in my head was of No Face the first time we see him on the bridge; his face is small. That's why I'm asking; why make the mask that big? All the tutorials I've looked at tonight (first time) show people making the masks big. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Please don't get me wrong; like the others I've seen, yours looks great! And I'm not just saying that! It's very clever how you used bed sheets to attain the desired look!!
