    @Thomachesankara I first learned wing tsun(Leung Ting) while living in Italy, later after many years, I was blessed to meet a disciple of Grand Master Moy Yat. I began my Ving Tsun training from scratch, because the whole philosphy of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Kung Fu is very different than the others being offered. This is not to slight Master Fong, just my opinion. And of course it is important to know if either schools are in your area. Today I call the late Grand Master Moy Yat my sigung.

    I too am from the Moy Yat Linage, since 1979. This video is copy written. Moy Yat Ving Tsun is a family, the non martial aspects of Ving Tsun (Sum Fat) are as important to us at the Kuet Kuen. Respect for your family, especially your Si Gung is essential to our linage and leads to living the Ving Tsun life. This Video was posted on youtube by a family member, one who should understand this.

    I don't think Sifu would mind if he was aware of what TH-cam is, or how happy it makes many of his students to be able to see him online and share these things with others.. Sifu was a pretty hip guy after all....
    I for one would like to see more of what is real Moy kung-fu online, there is precious little of it.. :D

      Learn the style first: Find a Sifu and learn Siu Nim Tao, Chum Kiu, Biu Jee, and preferably some partnership exercises. Practice over a decent period of time...probably 2-4 years depending on how much you practice and how effective the instruction. Then, in a perfect world learn the Jong form from previously mentioned Sifu. When you are competent up through Biu Jee you can go to any number of sites that sell Jongs or buy one from Hong Kong through someone in the Moy Yat family.

      If it should be removed it would be because no one got permission from Sifu William or perhaps Grandmaster Moy Yat's older head students.

    Why would you post this? Perpetuating Keyhole kung fu. This is how you show respect to Sigung, by keyhole(ing) the kungfu?

      stop with your BS. This isn't 1940.

  • @kasumitengu
    @kasumitengu 15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    keyhole kungfu is just that! Learning kungfu through the keyhole of a door....or in other words..spying to see the techniques. Nowadays..it happens when sidai's try to 'listen in on higher level discussions or basically learn advanced techniques without someone opening there hands to it. Moy Yat kung fu is taught with traditional kung fu family values. Even though we all know that the true meaning behind the techniques can not be learned through videos, it is still a great disrespect to SiGung!

      Inffermostr, Doing the form is not about SLAMMING the arms and leg, its about performing the movements correctly with the proper footing, distance, and positioning so you're always claiming the center line.
      SomberlainINC, I have news for you. Wing Chun is and has always been an Internal/External system. The Internal power is first taught in Sil Lum Tao but I'm sure you were in a rush to jump into Chi-Sao so you must have missed that one. So when "anyone" (I say that because there is no indication of what you are) puts down "Westerners" for trying to understand internal power, the only ones doing a face palm is everyone you say it too. Why don't you put up a video and show us all how its done.

    • @LEORedSun
      @LEORedSun 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you misunderstood what I said. I am not here to bash anyone or any form of martial art. My comment was about this video's demonstration.
