Hi Marc! I shot over a PM for the config code (for two players) and some other info. Great job, looking forward to getting Hyperspin up and running with the XB360 controller =)
The file I sent you go's into your Mame Ctrlt folder then you make sure you select inside Mame and then your done. Run Hyperspin setup to map your buttons back to your game pad very simple. Also for each emulator you need to configure your Xbox joysticks for each one outside of Hyperspin. Once you set it up and save its all done, launch Hyperspin and it will work. The file you got is Mame only but it is setup for all the games.

Hello, just saw your video on the xbox 360 wireless controllers, got a question for you. I bought a hyperspin system which comes programmed to use xbox 360 wired controllers, the question is can I buy a controller for use with the xbox 360 (like a fighting pad from madcatz or a arcade stick) and would it work without doing any modifications? I'm a complete n00b with this lol
Marc, Thanks for posting this I have been looking everywhere since I can't control the menu with my controller but inside a game it works fine. I have the new Hyperspin (just getting started) and hyperlaunch is not RocketLauncher. Do you know if I would go through these same steps? Don't want to see it bunged up if I edited something wrong. Yep it's the Wireless dongle, I buy em off of EBay ( you will probably just get a bootleg version ) but they work with proper drivers. Pm me your email and I'll send you the file
Hey Marc, I could use some assistance. I cannot seem to figure out how to set up Hyperspin to handle four Xbox 360/ Xbox One controllers. My goal is to be able to play with 3 other people seamlessly. Does your config cover all systems or just Mame?
Justin this preset configuration works with Mame, just follow my instructions and it should be no problems. Do you have the game pads working in windows, that's the 1st step. You must setup the game pads in the other emulators which is super easy. Just run the emulator 1 time in windows, go to the control setup, remap the controls to whatever buttons you want and save it. In Hyperspin open the Hyperlaunch.exe, this is where you setup the frontend, Co to the controls section and you can also map out the Frontend to the game pads there. Then you can control Hyperspin menus and even exit the emulators. It's not very hard, setting up all your emulator s in Hyperspin is another story hehe. I have a 4 Terebyte drive with a complete set of pretty much everything on it, and I have a backup just in case. I also just completed a Dedicated racing setup ( Playseat with a G 27 ) running Mario Kart Arcade Gp 2 on the Dolphin emulator.
Justin Binder yes thete us No Xpadder with the Xbox 360 gsmepads. Once you install the Xbox 360 wireless gamepad dongle drivers from Microsoft all you have to do is just load any emulator and configure the game pads and your good. For Name just use my cfg file and it is all setup for you. You can always load mame and hit the Tab key and make even more changes from there.

for now im not going through hyperspin im doing it straight through mame64bit.exe so with that said im getting the same message and i have i believe that latest version of mame 64bit its version i think 0.155 and im getting the message when i try to play the game Tron, how can i tell what version the rom tron is? what do i do to fix this please explain like im a 2 year old cuz im just starting out on this, any help will be much appreciated TY
Sure I can help out, gimme your email and we can talk there. I can send you the Xbox 360 config file for Mame. The other emulators you can setup the controller outside of hyperspin in whatever emulator your using.
I wish I had the money for things like this. I would love to have a set up where I could play pretty much anything. At the moment, my computer's not great, so I'm stuck with the older 2D systems..which are nice, but I don't get to play any of the 3D stuff really, or some of the Mame stuff..especially because I have way too many issues getting Mame roms working.
Marcdaddy2112 It's usually the whole "missing files" thing. Like when you use the wrong version roms with the wrong version of Mame. Even then though, when I use the correct versions, I still get some games that say I'm missing files. It's just annoying how specific and picky it is. No other method of emulation for other systems is as picky as Mame.

Hi, I can't get the analog stick to work, only the pad, like you. If you use for example the atari 2600 emulator, stella, how do u exit? Stella is configured to exit with ESC key, no matter what u do with the gamepad. How do u handle this? Thanks!

The only thing that my xbox360 wireless controller does is navigate the wheels and Naomi, neo geo CD that works, that's about it that works on my xbox360 controller. Mame, neo geo mvs, all others don't recognize my xbox360 controller. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Frank Seidel you will need to go into the Hyperspin Settings and map your controller to work with hyperspin. Also you will need to map the controller to each emulator to get it to work properly. Never heard of arcadepunks, I've been updating and maintain my setup for over 5 years 😀

that will enable you to use your xbox gamepads in mame, did you follow the instuctions that i posted along with the vid?

i change the Core input values to this and now mame won't launch a game. i put it back to default and it loads the game. Am i doing something wrong
James Lemoine just have mame use the. cfg and it will just change the controls within Mame itself. nothing else.
