That older home will be standing while those new homes will be destroyed. I'll take an older home before those paper mache new ones. Older builders took pride in their work. Im the 3rd owner of my home. Been here over 20 years and yes you have to do the work for upkeep, but this is my investment.

I might be moving to Greensboro soon. Idk if I should rent or buy. How long does the buying process usually take?

Thanks for your comment! 😊 Once you find the perfect home, the buying process usually takes around 30-45 days. If it works for you financially, purchasing could be a great choice-especially here in Greensboro, where rents are steadily increasing! Let’s schedule a call to discuss your options and see what might be the best path forward for you. You can book a time that’s convenient here: tidycal.com/lynetteselbyrealestate/firsttimehomebuyercall.
I’d love to help you get started!

Could you provide a general range for home insurance costs on properties valued under $300,000 in Greensboro? It doesn't need to be exact, just an estimate?

My $200k rental property was $730 for 6 months of insurance in neighboring Winston. I’d imagine around there for $300k primary residence seeing as insurance on a primary residence is cheaper

Thats not how insurance works, its the specific characterics of the home itself roof age, condition , materials, replacement cost etc. You need to pick a home and do an insurance quote to give you an idea.

Great question! It’s hard to pinpoint an exact amount since home insurance costs depend on factors like the home's age, location, and coverage needs. It’s best to speak with a home insurance provider for a personalized estimate. If you need recommendations, I’d be happy to help!
