The changing table was an essential for us. I had a c-section and a very long and painful recovery and I cannot have seen myself bending over to change diapers, clothes and any other grooming. My partner is tall so his back was also thankful for it. You can definitely go around without having one as you mentioned. We got ours from the market place for 35€ so that's another tip I have: don't buy everything new.
I do have to say that the ikea crib has been great for all three of my babies, because not only is it a crib but also turns into a toddler bed which is a bonus! I got mine as a baby shower gift !
I think i’m the only mom out there that loves having a changing table. 😅 I had to have a c-section so being able to change my baby while standing up was honestly the most comfortable thing. I even used it to put the baby bathtub on top and give her baths without having to bend over and be in major pain. My daughter is now 18 months old and i still use it because if i try changing her anywhere else she’ll immediately try to run away, but she’s perfectly fine when i change her on the changing table.
You're not the only one! We used ours for over a year. Daddy was actually against getting one at first but after a while he admitted that I was right to get one due to comfort (he is tall so it was great for his back too) 😅
I agree with some things but I love my changing pad and wipe warmer. My daughter would scream with cold wipes until I got her the warmer. And i wouldn’t recommend footed sleepers. She grew so long so quick, I wasn’t even able to use a few of them 🤯. I’d suggest footless or just a onesie which is easier for stealthy diaper changes.
I think until 2020, J&J still made baby powder with talc but offered a cornstarch only powder (no talc). Plus other brands made cornstarch only powders (no talc). I used cornstarch baby powder for my daughter who was born in 2018 but not with my son who was born in 2020 and won’t be with this baby due in the fall, unless I truly truly need it. But honestly, you could just use cornstarch you buy at the store, not a brand that pushes the price super high. Cornstarch powder helps dry the diaper area really well so I used it in very specific instances with my daughter.
@@AbbyLindquist no problem! I disagree with the use of anything talc, but I think many people have the misconception that ALL baby powders are talc-based powders. I don’t think any on the market have talc anymore, luckily!!
At the footed sleepers - get the double zippered ones It saved my husband and I both frustration with putting lotion on and changing at 1:00 a.m. in the morning
Love this! I like how you don’t ramble on and your videos are so productive and helpful. Btw, I absolutely ADORE the name Navy for a girl, it’s so pretty
My third little girl is 3 weeks old today (preemie at 35 weeks) and we just recently got a Love to Dream swaddle last week and oh my god I don’t know how we ever went a day without it. My girl was like a brand new baby in terms of sleep! I never used it with my other kids but totally wish I had.
Agree with pretty much all of this. My daughter only ever used her crib to nap during the day and at night we bedshared. Wipe warmer only got purchased when we started cloth diapering and using cloth wipes. Bottle sterilizer only got used because we don’t have a dish washer. Everything else was on the money did not need it
I use talc free baby powder for under my babies neck when her drool got very excessive and was causing rashes. I found the powder kept her dry and fresh especially since it was summertime but not something I used much down there.
Lol at the crib comment…by the time we transitioned my LO he was already strong enough to calculate and plot his escape so we converted his toddler bed pretty early. We are discussing now whether to use it for baby #2 or don’t bother with it
I'm gonna be a first time mom and just found your channel. Thank goodness!!! Ty for all the advice and now I'm going to binge the rest of your videos lol
Love your content! This video reminds me so much of how everyone is different. And every baby is different! I used some things for my first that I didn't both with for my second. I personally love a changing table but also change my baby on the couch all the time. I agree with most everything else you mentioned!
the wipe warmer my 4 month old has loved it since day 1 we still use it every day! It keeps him from crying ❤️ also could not justify spending 30 dollars for a sleeper thats over 200 dollars just for 9 sleepers! Crazy 😬 I just boil the bottles in hot water then hand wash them with bottle soap I don’t like using the dishwasher for bottles scent free bottle soap is better to use in my opinion! ❤️ I remember my 2 year old getting his leg stuck in his crib! So scary! I got him one of the mesh bumper pads worked great
I'd probably love it if I tried it out! 😋 The sleepers are pretty expensive for sure.. I always stock up when they have sales! I've never boiled bottles and pacifiers but that's a really great idea especially using the scent free bottle soap! 😊 I'd for sure get the mesh bumper pads if I used a crib! 💛
Weird question but do you use your bottle warmer for breast milk? I know you have to be careful with temp of breast milk but I’m trying to figure out if there’s a bottle warmer you can use instead of putting your frozen breast milk in a bowl of warm water? Currently 23 weeks pregnant first time mom lol! Love your videos.
Yes! My baby was born when it was colder, so we got baby booties that strap on and look like little shoes over socks, had like a fur like lining in them
Yes to the bottle warmer, i registered for the bottle, breast milk and baby food warmer, and agree to the bottle sanitizer, seems like a waste of space
Nope! I bought and tried out all of these things except the wipe warmer! I do have 3 kids and my oldest is almost 5, so some of these things I purchased 5 years ago but totally regretted it.

Oh interesting!! That's good to know thank you for sharing 💛

100% agree!! 🙌🏼

Aw congratulations on your baby girl! It's the best! I'm so glad you've been loving it as well! 🤍
yes to all of these! 🙌🏽 we have a changing table and crib but never use them.. same with a bottle sanitizer.
😂 literally same

Totally 🙌🏼
The Velcro swaddles have zippers on them? The ones by swaddle me are great

Haha! Yay congratulations 💛
Thank you Abby for another brilliant and honest vlog, loved the content and the fact you are down to earth with your opinions. 💖
Thank you! 🤍

So true! 💛
Totally agree! We use a crib but what you said about the pacifier falling out is so true 😂
😂😂😂

We cut out toxic baby products but Huggies are included since they are made with chemicals. We opt for natural diapers with less chemicals.
Which natural diapers do you like using?
Which diapers do you use that are natural?
@@sarahspencer5470 we use the Honest & Pampers Pure brands for baby girl and new leaf Pampers pure for our toddler girls.
I'd say the one item I purchased that I HIGHLY regret is the Snoo Bassinet 😐
Omg. Yes! That thing is so expensive!
Love your videos !!! 💚💚💚
Thank you!! 💛

Totally agree with all of these! I did use a wipe warmer for a little while but eventually gave up on it and the one I had dried out the wipes lol
I've heard some have been known to do that!
I love the honest diapers they work for everyone different . Mitten are no point not even shoes either lol
Absolutely! So glad they work well for you! 💛
I think baby powder was to prevent diaper rash but theres creams and ointments for that . I agree with not using baby powder also
Good to know! 😀
I love a changing pad because I can take it anywhere with me.
Yes!! 🙌🏼
I thought I was the only one that experienced so many blowouts with the honest diapers. Cute but not worth it. No one sees the diaper anyways 😂
100%! 😂🤍
Do you live somewhere cold? I have my first kid on the way but will be cold so not sure about no shoes.
Yes! My baby was born when it was colder, so we got baby booties that strap on and look like little shoes over socks, had like a fur like lining in them
I'd recommend the little baby booties Kimberly mentioned or a big sherpa suit for baby! Carters is where I got Navy's!
I agree with all of these!
🙌🏼😊
we bought honest company diapers and totally agree! waste of money!
They're adorable.. but useless 😂
My daughter had a HORRIBLE chemical reaction to them. After we used pampers, huggies and luvs and no problems
Yes to the bottle warmer, i registered for the bottle, breast milk and baby food warmer, and agree to the bottle sanitizer, seems like a waste of space
Getting cute clothes at 6 months would be just in time to start food and crawling 🥴 haha always get cute clothes around 3 months
Haha that's true!!
I thought this was things YOU regret buying. But it sounds more like things you THINK are not necessary.
Nope! I bought and tried out all of these things except the wipe warmer! I do have 3 kids and my oldest is almost 5, so some of these things I purchased 5 years ago but totally regretted it.
Definitely agree cribs are such a waste.
Baby socks... they never stay on 😂
Literally 😂
You sound like you know what you're talking about. you don't have time to be Snapping at 2:00 in the morning zipping and zip out😮🤭
