Nothing better than seeing farm kids helping and having their own animals on the farm. My parents gave me a registered Holstein heifer calf when i was eleven years old. That heifer later became a Gold Metal Dam. Along the way she and her offspring totally inspired me to want to be a dairy farmer.
I do miss those days on the farm. Your kids will have the best work ethic and appreciate the self reward of hard work. Thank you for sharing another day on the farm. Please stay safe, and God bless.
Hey Allen,,glad to see your doing OK. I'm really close to you and seeing the same weather patterns. Keep it up,,,we'll be fine. Still selling to Jim Falls?
Another great video takes me back to growing up in the 60s and 70s the whole family pitching in to get the chores done great way to grow respectful responsible adults God bless
i must say it is such a pleasure to see how the kids pitch in with chores. it takes me back to the 50's growing up on an 80-acre small dairy farm. these videos are heads and tails far superior to those farm videos that show 1,000's of cows and 1,000,000 dollar implements. you should be proud.
Best I can tell, Justin is going to be the next generation farmer. The way he took the time to clean out his cows watering bowl tells the story, he has an eye for the details. Used to do the same myself over 50 years ago, when helping at my neighbors farm. Clean water, good feed, cows will take care of you. You all have a great family, thanks for sharing these videos.
My wife remembers well the sound of milkers getting placed. Now she hands milk goats year round. Get well soon Jen. Cannot believe how much the kids have grown!
Jen get better soon we miss you. The young uns are getting pretty darn good at doing the choirs. They are good with the cattle, you can see how good the animals are around them. Thanks for another great video.
Nice to see the family working together. Hope Jen is on the mend soon. I've always admired dairy farmers for their disciplined routines at chore time. Hope you're blessed with timely rains to keep your crops on the move.
I'm a new subscriber and are looking back at some of your video's, it's really refreshing to see how your family works together. You run like a well oiled machine. You will never need to worry about your children being able to take care of themselves when you pass on. You've taought them well.good luck and God bless you all.
God bless you all! Just seeing a genuine American family working together with a common goal is inspiring. Kids, years from now you’ll look back on this time and hopefully appreciate the joy of a well done life with family. I cannot imagine how much it thrills your parents to have you by their side
This is amazing to see kids working. I grew up in the 90’s in west central Minnesota on a small dairy farm! That farm raised work ethic is hard to find in the suburbs now days. I loved everything about that farm life!! I miss it!
When I was growing up in Central New York State during the 50’s to 70’s or so I lived on a dairy farm with my Dad brothers and sister. We had about 50 to 60 milkers, Holstein on about 1000 acres of land. It is a 24/7 job. You need a lot of knowledge of weather, science, crop rotation, building fence, cutting down trees for fence post, plowing balling hay, putting it in the barn for winter, harvesting oats for grain and straw , harvesting your corn in fall, picking stone deliverying calves, cleaning the barn, spreading manure, currying cows, on and on. Hard life.
Speedy recovery Jen, the kids are doing a great job. Alan you cleaned up, lol. I'm sure it keeps you cooler and looking younger. Enjoy your supper, I'm sure mama made something good, enjoy...you all deserve it, maybe even a little ice-cream. Btw I never seen cows clean as yours, I saw in previous videos, Jen shaving their tails
It is so awesome to see the kids helping out with chores around the farm doing so will instill a good work ethic in all of them. Please pray for rain for us in SE South Dakota as we haven't had any in over a month now and we were dry before that. Take care and God bless 🙏🙏🙏
Justin reminds me of the times when I was about his age doing chores, driving tractors and hauling hay. He's a good worker and bet he could do all the chores by himself if he had to.Great family.
I have total respect for all farmers i am a farmer as well i only have 2 goats right now on the farm but I still have to take care of them every day and feed them and cut and bale hay
Jessica really helps with milking, great job. Justin helping with the silage an feeding the calves. Sure makes the chores go faster when the kids help. Great job all around. God Bless and take care. Hope Jen gets better soon!
Trinity Dairy: The Father the Son and the Holy Ghost working as one. I have been watching your videos for some time. I have seen your children following you and Jen around the farm looking up to each of you as their protector and provider and you could see their love for each of you in their eyes and it can still be seen today. Things have changed over the years, your children are no longer following you, they are right there beside you working with you because they have found a new way to express their love for each of you. You must be so proud of them. What a fine example you and your children are setting for others. God speed to all! Hope Jen is on the mend soon!
God bless you! Raising your kids right. Your cows look great. We had a small dairy for years and worked off the farm just to make ends meet.We know what it takes. We wish you well!!!
It’s nice when the kids can help milk. I sure hope your milk price comes back very soon. $12.00/ hundred lb is brutal. You should get at least twice that. All the best
Very sweet all are taking good care of your cows and calf’s please let all calf’s to meet their mummy time … always love animals you take care of them well ..
Hopefully the milk prices come back up, its tough going when I used to milk cows , just made enough to get buy always, never steady cash flow well good luck, follow your dreams 👍
Learn from the PTO close call and teach your children that even Dad could have been injured. Life lesson, Thank god know one was hurt. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful dairy! Justin cracks me up! you have some hard working kids there! Jessica has gotten so tall and turning into a beautiful young lady! Keep up the good work.
Great video. But you already know that. Justin and Jessica have grown so much. There very hard workers.. Great job kids. Hope Miss Jenn gets to feeling better soon..
Hi guys from Ontario. I hope you are feeling better Jen. It is very good when all the kids help out with chores, this way you can rest and watch soap operas on tv LoL 😅 just kidding. Another great video and take care. P.s. the calf is done. 🇨🇦
Papa here from Missouri, the corn silage you were feeding, does it have bits and pieces of cracked corn in it? In the late '40s & early '50s we would travel to one of my dad's uncle's farms to pick blackberries,& make ice cream. Mom and Aunt Alice would make breakfast with smoked country ham, milk gravy, scratch milk biscuits, fresh eggs, molasses, churned butter, fresh milk, and coffee. Oh, it was so good, then for supper more ham, fried squirrel, biscuits, molasses, mashed potatoes, vegetables from the garden, gravy, churned butter, and for dessert homemade ice cream and blackberry cobbler! Yummy😀 I bet your dinner table is just as amazing! 😊
My Aunt's Jersey herd was about that size(milking 35), she had some real champion cows that rivaled Holsteins in production I guess. A few the udders were so big and heavy she had, for lack of better words, bras for them that strapped over the hips to hold up the milk bag and keep the teats from getting stepped on. Glad you got some rain
My kids are on vacation and now we see what they are doing because i have to do it myself, together the work is not that hard but when you have do to it all by youre self breakfast and dinner is a little later lol, anyways agree to reduce the feedbill, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
I have to say Alan and family once again a great video. It’s always something special to see you and the kids working on the farm. Hope you all have an amazing summer and just continue the great job that you do!!! God bless you and your family
What a change to see kids working and being involved in a worthwhile activity instead of having their heads buried in a video game. As a teenage boy in the 70,s we worked 7 days a week on the layer chicken farm and hog farm. It was tiresome work, but I wouldn't trade those memories for any amount of money. Back then all the boys and many girls were in the FFA, now our crazy school system down here doesn't even have FFA or home economics 😢. You're doing it right and those children love it. Good job. Keep the videos coming. 🙏 For 🇺🇸
like to see the different farms and how they work so many ways to get to the same result god bless you and yours dont know how you survive on 12 dollar milk more power to ya love these vids
I always loved cattle. Train able and they know there places in the barn. In comparison they are like dogs. They all have their own personality. We raised beef cattle and some become pets.😊
I thought the accent sounded familiar. I grew up in St. Paul and just north of St. Paul. Born in '67 and left in 1985. I can't say I miss the winters there.
Looks like the cows are bagged up pretty good for July .to bad the milk price is so low. you sure have some fine kids they are realty some good help, good luck !
Great video,I use to judge dairy and beef cows here in NC. That one of Justins is looking good .Great to see the family working together.I miss the farm i grew up on now a suburb of Raleigh NC.We once had a big dairy industry here but with gov buy the dairy herds sold for beef in the 80s/90s ,the farmers sold there land to developers
I will never complain about the price of milk in the grocery store other then on behalf of the dairy farmers out there like this family that aren't getting enough for their efforts.
You've got some good little helpers there. Y'all should be really proud of them!
Nothing better than seeing farm kids helping and having their own animals on the farm. My parents gave me a registered Holstein heifer calf when i was eleven years old. That heifer later became a Gold Metal Dam. Along the way she and her offspring totally inspired me to want to be a dairy farmer.
Your kids are getting the best education in life! Brings back memories of doing the same things some 70 years ago.
Watching your children do their chores does bring back great memories.
I do miss those days on the farm. Your kids will have the best work ethic and appreciate the self reward of hard work. Thank you for sharing another day on the farm. Please stay safe, and God bless.
Cool love seeing your kids working with you and learning responsibility at a young age.
Excellent video as always .Small dairy farms are the backbone of this great country.!!
No,radio??
@@angelawegner4790what are you talking about????
@@ronniewayne5748 didn't hear any music, always had music on when milking
Hey Allen,,glad to see your doing OK. I'm really close to you and seeing the same weather patterns. Keep it up,,,we'll be fine. Still selling to Jim Falls?
Yeah I think it's still going to Jim Falls.
I love seeing the kids helping, and Justin looks like a real farmer with those suspenders on..........Love every minute of your videos!!!!!! ❤
Great to see everyone helping out. You have a great bunch of kids and they are happy helping out. On the flip side they obviously have great parents.
Your kids are awesome. Good video , thank you .

Good to see the kids doing more and more chores around the farm. I must be a relief to you and Jen.
The clicking of the pulsators is very relaxing. One of the things I miss from milking cows. Retired now.
I really admire a man that works with His Kids!! You are doing a great job!! Gif Bless You All, and I wish you prosperity in the Dairy Business!!!
The family farm with a real family working it. I love it. Love to watch.
Healing prayers to Jen. Jessica your cow looks great! The kids are all such great helpers! God Bless to you all.
