    That Dyno is some piece of equipment and Eric has a bad A$$ ride too. All black, beefy tires, probably the Mustang chin spoiler, the blackout side markers and I notice it has the fog lights. The reason I don't have them on mine is because I could never find someone who would throughly go over the materials and show the instal on assembling the fog lights. I mean I've seen some but not to the satisfactory where I can go do it myself. In fact it sure would be nice if Eric can show what brand, products and materials were used to install the foglight. Where Eric has his place is exactly where I would like for mine to be. That would be a real treat for me. Not asking for Eric to do a complete demonstration; just lift the car, point, show and explain. Hypothetically what he might do differently or why he may use something else vs what he has already. Keep up the vids and Thanks a million!

They also list the aluminum driveshaft like its a mod when all police interceptors have it, since 98 the town car(still a steel driveshaft) and police vics have a 5/8" longer tailshaft housing and a unique slightly shorter aluminum driveshaft was made for them.

    • @2ndgencadi189
      @2ndgencadi189 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They dyno’d the engine and it produced 250hp and when they put it in the car they kept the engine hp. They didn’t include power train loss. HP gets lost when it has to travel from the front of the car to the back having to spin so many things like the driveshaft and the transmission and then the diff and then the wheels so you lose a lot of hp.

    • @richardberry5984
      @richardberry5984 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2ndgencadi189 I understand all of that, but since 1972 the car manufacturers have been required to publish horsepower ratings taken from the wheels, just as you described it. So, a CVPI from the factory was rated at 250 horsepower at the wheels. The custom car in this video, which has a few, small performance modifications as described should have produced 250 or more horsepower during this dyno run. It did not, so that is why I asked my initial question, why not?

  • @Bendigo1
    @Bendigo1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So is this car exactly how it was when it was a cop car or did he modify it I would like to see what a real cop police package crown Vic made stock from factory for police crown Vic's the mods they did to make them faster for cops and not modded cuse of they made some good power then they make a good budget sleeper base for a build. My 2015 Camaro RS made 296 rear wheel horsepower to rear wheels stock besides a CD air intake and throttle body spacer and a down pipes cuse you can't put headers on the v6s cuse the exhaust manifold is molded into the heads but for a V6 Camaro the RS package is amazingly beautiful interior and exterior has exact same body package as the SS except it has RS in the head rests which was a package to add to the RS was embroidered head rests and embroidered carpet rs floor mats and the glove box had RS stiched into it and paint matched plastic engine cover with RS on it. Has same wheels and tires stock as the SS came with same Cowell induction hood and all it's fast for a V6 car makes more HP to the crank then a V6 lotus does so it's got V6 super car power at a budget price making 390 to the crank when I had the old motor out to replace with a brand new stock V6 motor we dynoed the old one and new one and new one made 390 to crank all stock and the old one made 379 a little HP lose from age but still made more then what GM advertised it at which is cool for insurance reasons but they under sold the horsepower which normaly they over sell the horsepower number by 10-100 HP more then they actually have sometimes but in this case they under sold it I loved my RS Camaro until it got rear ended by a 18 wheeler only had it for a year and a half which sucks I never did any burnouts or hot roded it which now I regret not having fun it cuse i deprived my self of the sports cars fun by running it fast around curvy roads racing at stop lights drifting it and sliding and doing burnouts cuse I didn't wanna tear it up

      Steven Chavez Why if a car has an advertised 250 CRANK hp would you expect 220-230 WHEEL? That makes zero sense

    What shocks are on it? Looked like Bilstein, but supposedly they don't make shocks for those years of Vic's. PLEASE reply!

      The rear shocks are in fact Bilstein shocks. Unfortunately, I don't know the details, and since this video was released, Eric sold the car. -Landan

    How did he lower his crown vic? There’s not many options and I don’t have the budget for the 800$ coil overs for the front only.

      As far as we know, Eric cut the springs to lower it. -Landan

    20% drive train loss from 250hp? And it's got a tune? So it's probably more like 25%. I didn't think it would lose that much.

    Screw the coyote swap put a root style blower and build that 4.6. The Crown Victoria needs an engine that puts out torque not an engine that revs to 8000 RPM.

    They might not be fast but you can`t make a car any meaner or sinister and when one pulls up behind you, makes your heart beat a little faster.Exciting to drive? No. Cheap pick and pull parts? yes.
