Old guy from Alaska here, Dan, I knew you could do it. Heavyshevy got his diesel started, you Canadians are gifted with brains. I brag about you to every body man I know. Cold War Motors just primered his fury that would Win SEMA its that good, with three cars grafted into one that had melted into the ground up to the door handles. It should of never been fixed but there it sets in all its glory. Glad to have met you through the net
man I can't believe the transformation that that car has made keep up the good work it looks great, for your next project I don't think your life would be complete until you have a 79 Z28 or Trans Am
@@DDSpeedShop those are pretty cool, I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed you and Danny and the dogs for y'all's little Christmas message it was awesome okay God bless brother
Just back from the headlight on the sidewall is a power wire connector for the headlight. This is on both sides. My 57 had the left light out and I found the connector was dirty. It blends with the dark paint. Just look and you will find it.
Awsome build turned out badass great job on the 4 to 2 door conversion worth the work you can still find 4 doors in decent shape and alot less than a 2 door
My terminator x luckily started on the first try. One thing I found out yesterday is that the IAC has to read between 0-10% after it gets to operating temp. Not realizing how critical this step in the instructions I didn’t do it right and I lost oil pressure because gas got in the oil and diluted it down to point I lost oil pressure. I changed my oil and pressure came back but I still have to adjust the throttle blade today. Sounds great by the way! You can hear mine run on my page.
Awesome 👍🏾 man was thinking only a few months ago it was a 4 door now it's being changed to late model engine and computer, I got to learn about them as well but it's with a old Rav4 but it's going and a work in progress, then I'll get a reader for the computer but it tells you in code but have the information of it already 😀 great job man 👍🏾👍🏾
Love wataching you from england , i had a 55 chevy belair a few years ago ; and a 57 belair pro street and tub , keep up the good work , your sure making me want to go out and do it all again !
I had fuel flow masters on my 406 powered 79 Z I love the way they sound but yours sounds great bro and am L S and the Holley setup is the way to go so great job brother!
Siiiiick channel. Watched all your videos since finding you on here . If you plan on running that ls longer then a few start ups then I would loop the heater core lines together. I had broken one of the connections at the heater core on my silverado out 4x4 ing and just folded the lines over dead heading them and swelled 2 rads before figuring out they need to be looped at least. Looking forward to more content from the prairie's bud.
I'm impressed! I couldn't figure that out you make things seem so easy lol I love the progress! Wish you lived closer so I could have you help me with my nova awesome videos and the live stream! Great work you do keep up the videos I need one every morning to watch lol but I would like to LS my 69 nova ss thanks again great work!
Congratulation on getting her running. I know how good it feels after all your work to hear it fire up. Fantastic. Hopefully she'll figure itself out on her maiden voyage. So now your a LS guy (I don't believe that for one minute) Not yet anyway. LOL - Later
it's come a long way in the last few months...and I can't wait to hear it run again, sounded very healthy even if it was a bit rough, keep up the great work!!!
Its alive. Sweet rig it runs good and the exhaust is pretty cool sounding too. I knew the Holley system would make you happy. It seems like a pretty good rig. Eh?
True,Im excited about the rest of the wiring now.Itll give me a break from crawling around under it.Exhaust finish up is next after wiring.I have my drivers side all in and loosely together.I had to wait on a heat riser delete for the passenger side which I have now.The rest is loosely in there.Just a matter of tightening it up
Wasn’t too sure about the 2-door conversion, but you pulled it off and it’s pretty cool. The LS addition definitely hits the sweet spot! Can’t wait to see you take it out and wake up the neighborhood! Happy Hew Year!
Awesome progress man! 👍🏻 I bought an aftermarket alternator connector pigtail when I did the 5.3 in my C10, from Holley if I remember right, but if you have the factory harness that works too, I didn’t have a harness to work with...
When I converted my 85 Mustang to Holley TBI EFI, I used some factory style nylon EFI fuel line and fittings to adapt all to a factory EFI tank and the factory 4bbl metal fuel lines. The nylon tubing also says, oh just put it in boiling water and stick the fittings in. Didn't work for me. They make like a $200 tool to press the fittings in. SO I was able NOT buy that and instead used a caulk gun and a double flare tool to press the fittings in. If you're doing it on the low buck, you gotta do what you gotta do!
Glad it's going for ya. Not to many issues. Common problems for sure. Motor looks really good in there. 3 inch exh sounds really good. Always pulling for ya Dan. Can't wait for drive. See ya then
Just for your information General Motors always used a dedicated fusible link to the headlight switch just for the headlights. That’s why you have tail lights but no headlights. I am sure somewhere or you have a wiring schematic. Love the channel. Really liked how you made this into a two door. Someday I55 Chevy, I really love the 150 sedan but will take anything when the time comes
WOW! I'd be lost with all that technology! But it does eliminate all of the old school gremlins. I'm glad you sorted it all out, knew you could. I thought modern engines won't run without the air filter installed because of the air flow sensor...As I mentioned, I'm not up with today's technology. I know, the computer monitors a lot and re-sets as needed. Cold weather it uses longer pulses for the fuel injectors, shorter pulses for warm engine condition. It monitors the idle and corrects it. It sounds mean! probably as you drive it for a while, it'll learn some more..
On the tri-five the Crager ss or the Keystone Classics just look right !! I also ran the Torque Trust on front and wide aluminium slots on rear for a great look on my 65 Impala !!
Great job, that LS sounds bad to the bone through those big 3” pipes. It shouldn’t have any problem breaking the rear tires loose. Keep plugging away at it , can’t wait for the first test drive.
I would recommend adding healthy buss bars hidden under the dash for aux. powers and grounds except for the ECU it will want battery direct power and ground. The computers like filtered power / grounds ie battery to avoid trouble codes during operation. The buss bars will clean up the multiple wires on the battery post, I use min. 12 gage wire to simulate being on the battery.
Great stuff , you’ll love the LS , I know they have their haters but it’s really just a modern day version of the trusty old small block and who doesn’t love power and economy and an engine that behaves well in traffic, ya just can’t beat em lol , can’t wait for your drive video it’ll put a grin on your face when you crack the throttle, cheers from down under Tasmania Australia 😎👍👍🇦🇺
