There is no such thing as a bad 2 stroke smell. 2 stroke exhaust either smells AWESOME or F*KING AWESOME. Nothing else.

Ive used Klotz castor oil @ 40:1 for over 20 years and have never had any issues. Will continue to use it forever!

I filled 6-71 detroit 2 stroke diesel with quicksilver tcw3 blended half with canola oil to top off in crankcase, boy did that 6-71 smell clean and race ready. That engine throws it up into the ports to burn the oil anyways. I also mixed some canola in the fuel and that really made her run clean. A good tcw3 2 stroke synthetic combined with some canola or grape-seed oil make a lot of 2 stroke oil for anything as well as a detroit 2 stroke
i ran 2 stroke oil in my 69 caddy 472 premix.

Super technoplate is the only oil I’ve ran for years. Great stuff
I use ethanol free gas ( bought at most farm feed / co-op stores ) with VP race fuel ( VP 110 bought in a 5 gal. metal can at my local motorcycle dealer ) 50 / 50 mixture in a 5 gal. gas can with Bel-Ray MC1 racing full synthetic 2 stroke pre mix oil. Bel-Ray oil burns really clean, no "spooge" coming out of the muffler onto the rear fender or on the swingarm. Ethanol free gas is much better for any 2 cycle engine than super unleaded gas. I use it in my weed eater and lawn mower. My 1997 YZ285 big bore screams with VP race fuel in it !

I like the Amsoil Saber/Dominator. Smells ok, and keeps my bike protected.
Napa 10w40 synthetic at 40:1 does the same thing so far. its clean burning low ash and high film strength and much cheaper than amsoil. I run it in my yz-250 motor.
That's what the dealer recommended for me the dominator and he is a competitive racer so that was good enough for me been using it since with no issues

I just use Napa full synthetic 10w40 full synthetic mixed 40:1 in my yz250, and guess what it works just as good as all theses other oils. Its much cheaper and runs just as good. let me know but napa full synthetic burns clean and protects good as it is clean burning
Bruce Miller that’s motor oil guess what that means it causes carbon when it does burn(which your not supposed to burn) open your motor and see what it looks like 🤣. You must be a druggie or something

I dont like the smell of klotz or the cost. i went to napa full synthetic 10w40 at 40:1 and it works just as good for me. Its much cheaper and cleaner burning. ill stay with this for now on. Its clear and see it in the gas but it works just as good for all my 2 strokes. Mobil guard 410 works good at 40;1 and i can get it off the boat i work on for free as it has 2 stroke detroits and EMD's witch require low ash oil for the generators and main engines. I love working on a 2 stroke powered boats! If i can get the mobile guard 410 ill use it.

Great castor smell is just a bonus . For my old air cooled two strokes it’s solved a fuel issue. How ? The pump gas with ethanol wouldn’t store well, and the economical race gas has become blended heavier now , not able to add enough timing to burn it well .
I was told of some alternative Vp fuels and some ethanol free pump gas too . I found out painfully that all of these are Highly oxygenated!
I’ve found a happy fuel blend for the bikes now . To the oil: I’ve used castor a lot but the leading most available one started showing signs of less synthetic additives and separation. Super Techniplate mixes easy and stays mixed with the added benefit of 20% castor blended in for ultimate protection. It will mix with another synthetic oil just not a petroleum one .

I work on a boat with 2 stroke diesels. i can get all the mobile guard 410 2 stroke oil i want for free and mix it up in my 2 strokes. So far so good with out all the outrages cost of these oils. i have been doing this with good results. My yz-250 does good at 40:1 with Mobil guard 410. i threw in a dash of grape seed oil oil though to blend with the mobile 410 2 stroke oil. i love the exhaust coming out of it. i still mix and fill my truck with xd-100 oil though until i can get more mobile 410.
I've used Klotz techniplate without Castor since 1973.... I really like it.
i run Klotz R-50 32:1 in my 86 TRX 250r only downfall for R-50 it's just a premix for gas and not race fuel but other than that i luv it and it smell good.

I use Maxima Castor 927, at 40:1, in my Stihl 310 chainsaw.
From what I read about pros & cons of castor based 🆚 fossil or synthetic 2 stroke oils is that..... In an engine Overheating situation. The castor oil protects much better saving it from major damage. Chemically the hotter the castor oil gets, the thicker it becomes providing a protective film 🆚 fossil or synthetic that'll burn away leaving no protection. The con of castor oil is gums up an engine faster 🆚 synthetic oil that doesn't. My air cooled 2 stroke bike engine is super easy to take apart. So I'm gonna switch to castor oil. Since I clean it easier.

Serious go with what the owners manual says 👍🏼 my 2017 kTM says 60:1 and usually run that. I have leaf blower and weed trimmer and have learned over the years that 50:1 is a good average 👍🏼

I hope you enjoyed the Klotz outboard oil. Klotz sells this product under many different labels and I use it also in my outdoor power equipment. It's SOOOO nice to smell while using the string trimmer and leaf blower. Just one of life's simple pleasures :)

How does the super techniplate compare to the benol. I have a yamaha blaster that I premix for and was thinking about getting either benol or supertechniplate.

I run Klotz super techniplate. I’m on my third gallon. I’m curious about your thoughts on the gunk on the exhaust power valve and piston.
50:1 ratio for two stroke with Amsoil dominator and Amsoil Dirt for the trans. Run it on my ktm 300 xc. Got it from a pro.

Using it for years their charts claim that it'll protect your motor to 40,000 + rpms. smells like Nitro. Blenzall started it all Klotz perfected it.

I just mixed up another 5 gal jug of castor 927 about 5 mins ago. I love it and I run it at 32:1 in my 2001 cr250. No problems and it smells so good.

I run my bike at 32:1 , I have a 5 gallon gas jug , does that mean i need 20 oz of premix oil to run my bike correctly ?

Ok thank you for your help , one last question , do I pour the 20 oz of premix in the 5 gallon jug 5 times and fill up with fuel or do I pour 20 oz of the premix just ONE time and then fill it up with fuel ??? Sorry for the questions , i just don't want to blow my engine up haha .
Just once bro. 5 gallons is 640oz. 1:32 means that if you divide 640 by 32 you get 20oz. So for 640oz gas you need to use 20oz of oil, hence for 1 gallon (128oz) you need to use 4oz of oil.

I think 1:35, 1:40 to much for the two stroke.
I have a Exc 300 2002 modell, and mixing the gas, between 1:50-1:60, with motul 710 full sintetic 2t oil.
I never have problems with this ratio.

Paul you got it wrong. 50:1 is a ratio it means 50 parts of gas and 1 part of oil. for example 50L gas 1L oil .. get the measuring cup with the ratios on

i used to run 32:1 on my 97 rm250 then I moved to 40:1 and never had an issue.
Chuckies world you can easily run R50 50:1 with no worries. I'm a big guy and race I used to run R50 50:1 with no problems. I now run Amsoil dominator 50:1 as well for couple of years with no issues. Only changed oil cuz of sponsorship both are great oils and can be run at 50:1 with no concerns.
Does the 927 work with alcohol ?

Measuring scale of that is printed wrong , too much down .
So You can put less oil that You really need . Especially tragedy when You measure smaller amounts of oil , for example oil for smaller 1 gallon mopeds fuel tanks etc. ...

+wyatt larson I get it on eBay usually, but I am sure all major Motorsports websites carry it. Just make sure you get the one with castor oil, they have more kinds. The one in the video is my favorite.

Do some research and find out what Honda recommend. You should have it in your manual. In general, 40:1 is pretty safe

I live in slovenia, europe and here we put 2.5% - 3% mixture so a little less then 2deciliter on 5liter of gasoline. I watched half of youre videos and I like them keep them up

@@dirtniron Yep sure does. They put 15:1 on the first tank.
More oil will give better ring seal down to something like 18:1 (I forget the exact number) and will offer better power and protection when jetted correctly. Next rebuild I'll be rejetting for around 24:1
Call up Klotz and they'll tell you to use Techni TC-W3, not SuperTech..Its not good for powervalves! Go ahead, call 'em..

They told me the TC-W3 was specific for power valve applications and not the SuperTechniplate as it can gum it up..But I do more lower rev stuff than you and riding a KTM 300 XCW in the woods..You ride mostly track and high speed stuff?..I might still look into it though..Keep up the great work.

But seriously, I wonder what 927 in Castor927 means. Btw I ride this strange thing called a GOPED. ITS SO STRANGE. It like has these spinning things called wheels and they turn and stuff, nothing like a motorized bike that rides in the dirt. I use Castor927 in my goped, FASTOR WITH CASTOR BABY!!!
