Look up The NICHE Lady, Danni Ackerman, one of Jocelyn’s admins - she does a shipping video every week. She sells a lot of items similar to what Jocelyn buys.
I received 3 vintage glasses and the lady wrapped it really good. There was cardboard between each glass and the glasses had bubble wrap inside and outside plus more paper filler for I was impressed

I just finished my shopping there and it’s amazing!!! Liz is so sweet- she said you are too (just as I expected.) I love your videos and look forward to it every day. I am new to all of this collecting and have learned so much from you on what to look for and what to stay away from. I got 2 box fulls for $50- INCREDIBLE! You are very fortunate to have Goodwill outlets that are usually large, well organized and have items/products that are usually reusable/resaleable. Here in Toronto, Canada, I feel that Goodwills are not not the same let alone make a living reselling; this is my opinion anyway.
I always thought it was because they have a bigger population. But Toronto is huge. So that’s not it. It must be great! Outs are 1/3 the size. There are only 3 aisles and those are less 1/3 the size of Jocelyn’s.
Shopping with you is so informative and fun. Thank you for all your hard work and devotion to quality videos. The “blocked” aisles and “wrong way drivers” is not limited to your area at all. Here in Houston “ignoring” people when they’re waiting to get by and the screaming children seems to be universal. You seem to keep your cool and that’s probably the best advise you could give. (Of course there are always exceptions!) ♥️
I am learning so much from you. This is Carla Bobs wife. I’m in my seventies. I decorated all my apartments and homes with thrift store,most of our clothes as well. We loved our unique find and the fact we left a very low carbon footprint. So many quality and beautiful items to rest your eyes on. Me too. I've been with ebay since it was new and nothing. I bought a house back when the banks were loaning on no proof of income. It was a total fixer upper. Whole remodel, built a garage, a second garage and then a rental. Before I knew it my mortgage was $5k a month. The rental helped but my little animal control salary wasn't cutting it. I shopped obsessively. Listed and packed for shipping at night and mailed on my lunch hour. For the past few years I've just been buying. It's time to sell again.

Goodwills where I live would have items similar to the age and quality of your 1.99 items priced at a minimum of 6.99. They are definitely trained to recognize vintage pieces and more common identifying marks and price them up. I worked for Value Village (a.k.a. Savers) and know that our pricers were trained like that. And they were trained to mark up items that they thought resellers might want. You're so lucky to have stores like yours! I have an Etsy store and I feel like we keep a similar stock of treasures!

I found a large needlepoint at Goodwill the other day (around 24” x 18”). It was of two gladioli. I said right our loud, "Jocelyn would have picked this up in a heartbeat!!"
Just like to mention something that keeps cropping up----a hint re removing tape from paper/cardboard. Before computers, advertising posters, ads etc were done with 'mechanical and pasteup.' To remove glue you would use rubber cement remover/thinner. The major brand is 'Bestine' but there are others and still available. This stuff is great----for example, you can take a piece of tape, stick it to newspaper and press well. Put remover on it and soak, remove tape and let dry. Never knew it was there. The only drawback is if tape is very old, it may have transferred yellowing to item.
Love the voice over today, I'm the same about crowds. I seem to always have a nemesis that meets me going the wrong way or they park their cart on one side and shop on the opposite side blocking the aisle...ugh...you found some great treasures today!!

Exactly! I do the same thing in thrift stores, picking everything up to look on the bottom! Rarely do buy anything because I have to determine how I’m going to use it and where it’s going to live in my house. I don’t sell anything online.

Hi Jocelyn! That bowl with the blue and gold on it was made by Heisey Glass Co. It had the diamond H in the center. I believe it was pattern #1184 Yeoman floral bowl. The blue and gold was added by an outside company. You bought some gorgeous pieces, as you always find at your GW's. Thanks for sharing!
That ironstone coffee pot is the Meakin “ Moss Rose” pattern. That was wildly collected at the same time copper luster pieces and ironstone “Tea Leaf” dinnerware was being collected. We were all enamored with all things 100+ years old. The gazelle bowl stopped my heart! The only kitsch that would compete with that is the polka dots.
I loved those Niagara Falls pieces! I had a pair of vintage NF steins that I found for about $1/ea and sold the pair for $50. People do love the nostalgia of vintage NF pieces.
Congrats on the bowl! The bear looks a lot like the Coke bear. I would love to visit a store with more than 1 or 2 items, if I'm lucky. I can't imagine finding a cart full. It's always fun to watch you fill your cart. I have about decided that all the older people who move south in retirement leave the good stuff up north before they head this way. I hope to prove that theory wrong one day. 🌞
My local goodwill prices have been rediculous but the great thing they definitely don't know about any of the things that are actually valuable. My favorites are the local thirfts that also operate for a good cause and as a marketing strategy accept other stores coupons. The white and blue covered dish is from Russia. This type of ware called 'Gzhel' , it's always hand painted blue. This particular one is from 70s, I have it in my collection.
I had to smile when you said your cart was full! I cringed when you didn't stand the picture flat against the side of the cart; I've learned not to waste that space. I also cram non-fragiles on the bottom of the cart. Hangers go on the handle of the cart. There is a reason my kids call me "the Queen of Cram!" Enjoyed seeing your treasures!
Hi, the little red pitcher that had Niagara falls on it. Was a blue mountain pottery piece from Northern Ontario. They no longer make it. The pottery isn't made any longer. Comes in red, blue /green colors
Crazy lamp lady i had the same experience yesterday that I encountered at goodwill, they thought I was invisible say excuse me they don't respond, say it again (excuse me) no reply, people going the wrong way & the ones that are really bad have their cart parked in the middle and they're just walking around having to touch each item and don't buy any of them. I got to the point where I had it and couldn't wait to go check out and vacant the store.
When I go thrifting I take along some bubble wrap/newspaper/what ever to put on the bottom of the cart to keep things from shifting. May even grab a shirt (not to buy) to protect things.
I love those round cups that have the textured plastic. We had the set growing up as kids. They were great because in hot weather when glass sweats you could always still hang on to them. You have more in your cart than you showed us. CUrious what the face thing is. At 15:09 those are in very good condition. In the 1950's mid century modern decor would have a pair of glass dishes just sitting on the coffee table for show. That was a really nice pair as you often cannot find them as pairs. anymore.

About three years ago I went crazy buying glass pumpkins from Pier 1 and Big Lots. If I saw one at GW I would buy it for sure.

Hi Jocelyn! That bowl with the blue and gold on it was made by Heisey Glass Co. It had the diamond H in the center. I believe it was pattern #1184 Yeoman floral bowl. The blue and gold was added by an outside company. You bought some gorgeous pieces, as you always find at your GW's. Thanks for sharing!
That ironstone coffee pot is the Meakin “ Moss Rose” pattern. That was wildly collected at the same time copper luster pieces and ironstone “Tea Leaf” dinnerware was being collected. We were all enamored with all things 100+ years old. The gazelle bowl stopped my heart! The only kitsch that would compete with that is the polka dots.

I loved those Niagara Falls pieces! I had a pair of vintage NF steins that I found for about $1/ea and sold the pair for $50. People do love the nostalgia of vintage NF pieces.
That pretty coffee or tea pot missing the lid would be awesome with a bouquet of fresh cut flowers in it. Was yelling grab it please.

Congrats on the bowl! The bear looks a lot like the Coke bear. I would love to visit a store with more than 1 or 2 items, if I'm lucky. I can't imagine finding a cart full. It's always fun to watch you fill your cart. I have about decided that all the older people who move south in retirement leave the good stuff up north before they head this way. I hope to prove that theory wrong one day. 🌞
My local goodwill prices have been rediculous but the great thing they definitely don't know about any of the things that are actually valuable. My favorites are the local thirfts that also operate for a good cause and as a marketing strategy accept other stores coupons.

Your still blessed that your Goodwill, is not charging an arm and a leg, for their item's. I bought an Indiana glass Company, the red ruby compote dish for $1.99 all green tags were $1.99 on Mondays, next week it will be pink tags, I can't wait....
The white and blue covered dish is from Russia. This type of ware called 'Gzhel' , it's always hand painted blue. This particular one is from 70s, I have it in my collection.
I had to smile when you said your cart was full! I cringed when you didn't stand the picture flat against the side of the cart; I've learned not to waste that space. I also cram non-fragiles on the bottom of the cart. Hangers go on the handle of the cart. There is a reason my kids call me "the Queen of Cram!" Enjoyed seeing your treasures!
Hi, the little red pitcher that had Niagara falls on it. Was a blue mountain pottery piece from Northern Ontario. They no longer make it. The pottery isn't made any longer. Comes in red, blue /green colors

Crazy lamp lady i had the same experience yesterday that I encountered at goodwill, they thought I was invisible say excuse me they don't respond, say it again (excuse me) no reply, people going the wrong way & the ones that are really bad have their cart parked in the middle and they're just walking around having to touch each item and don't buy any of them. I got to the point where I had it and couldn't wait to go check out and vacant the store.
You need to go back to this store & pick up the singer box!

When I go thrifting I take along some bubble wrap/newspaper/what ever to put on the bottom of the cart to keep things from shifting. May even grab a shirt (not to buy) to protect things.

I love those round cups that have the textured plastic. We had the set growing up as kids. They were great because in hot weather when glass sweats you could always still hang on to them.

At 15:09 those are in very good condition. In the 1950's mid century modern decor would have a pair of glass dishes just sitting on the coffee table for show. That was a really nice pair as you often cannot find them as pairs. anymore.
