I'm trying to decide if I want to buy this smartwatch, but there's one important dealbreaker. If I had music playing on a phone/ipod, can i connect the watch to the device and use it as the media controls (play/pause, skip track)? I don't want to play music FROM the watch, I want to use the watch to control the music player from across the room.
Hey there! Glad you asked! Yes, our Gen 4 smartwatch styles will pull open media controls, when music is playing from your phone. Our Gen 4 styles do not feature a speaker, so music would not play from the smartwatch. 👍

I order a fossil gen 4 explorist hr from flipkart but received fossile Q branding gen 4 explorist HR and also I see that storage is 1.35gb instead of 4gb and also see that lots of china apps inbuilt in the watch. Not sure what is the use of those apps. Can please let me know. Maps are inbuilt in the apps.

Hi there! As the Gen 4 doesn't have a speaker, you are not able to answer calls on the watch. You will receive a notification of an incoming call, but will need to answer on your phone. You are also not able to respond to messages, but will receive a notification when messages come through.
Make sure your watch and the apps are all up to date! To update your watch, Select Settings < System < About < System updates. To check your applications, select the Google Play Store app < Swipe down and select “Apps” < Update if needed. If you continue to have issues, please email us at social@fossil.com.
