I was surprised to find out it doesn't have a built-in speaker or make or take call until AFTER I bought the watch. Not a deal breaker for me, I mainly use my phone or sometimes my headphones to make calls. Great watch, I love it.
Evalina Arenivaz yes, the watch vibrates and tells you that you have a call incoming and you can even swipe to answer but it picks up on your phone instead. It also does tell you if you’ve missed any calls.

Yup I do. I wanted a smartwatch and bought both the Venture HR and the Versa. I really liked both but the thing that put the Venture above both was that it linked to literally every social media account I have so alerts so all the things I needed. I also can respond back to Facebook, Instagram, emails and texts by typing or speaking into the microphone. And its really pretty! Battery needs improvement. But it lasted me from 9am this morning till now and it's at 30 percent :) The Versa was great too. It has a very simple and easy interface. The Venture takes some getting used to but its great. The only thing I wish it had was sleep tracker and a better battery.
I love this watch I love the price it looks so premium .. it's the best look smartwatch I've ever had and I like it that it's light. I'm not sure why everyone keeps talking abt the bad battery life when it lasts as long as an apple watch which is a day. Anyway ... I did not regret my buy

Hi Paul - We're happy to help! The gen 4 does have the ability to control your music through the watch. However, since it does not have a speaker you won't be able to place phone calls. Also, please keep in mind that in order to reply to texts, it must be paired with an Android device. Regarding the last question, the app does assist with directions and will alert you when you need to turn. We hope this information is helpful.

You may answer calls which will be pushed to your phone. You can not take calls directly on the watch, because it does not have a built in speaker. However, you can take calls on the watch if the watch is connected to a bluetooth headset.
It's stainless steel so the metal should not rust. We suggest pouring tap water over the metal each time you come back from a swim in salt or chlorine water, as an extra care measure.

You will also not be able to ask OK Google for directions. You have access to all other features the watch has to offer! Thilo, I have mine on all day. My "sleep" face is always visible. Brightness on 2. I text, use google pay, HR/steps, even see my playlist when using BT, and haven't dropped below 20 when starting with a full charge. You can keep an eye on charge if concerned by choosing a watch face that shows battery life. The charger is a standard USB & really does charge in an hour. Hope that helps.
With IOS you are unable to respond to text messages through your watch, but can respond using third party apps such as Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. You also can answer phone calls through the watch, but must communicate via phone!

Hello Chris. If your Gen 4 smartwatch is connected to an Android device, you will be able to make a call by using Google Assistant or through the Phone app on the watch. Please note that you will have to take the call on your phone or with Bluetooth speakers as the watch does not have a speaker. If your watch is connected to an iPhone, you will not be able to make outbound calls from the watch. Let us know if you have any other questions!

@@CarolCao the Gen 3 version had speakers that allows you to listen to music and take/make calls using the watch.

The Gen 4 is compatible with iPhones that have the iOS 12. However, the only feature that isn't available is being able to text through your watch.

Thilo, I have mine on all day. My "sleep" face is always visible. Brightness on 2. I text, use google pay, HR/steps, even see my playlist when using BT, and haven't dropped below 20 when starting with a full charge. You can keep an eye on charge if concerned by choosing a watch face that shows battery life. The charger is a standard USB & really does charge in an hour. Hope that helps.

Can you answer phone calls from the watch and text back from the watch if you have a iPhone 7 Plus ?
With IOS you are unable to respond to text messages through your watch, but can respond using third party apps such as Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. You also can answer phone calls through the watch, but must communicate via phone!
Can we download the apple music in this wear os?
At this time, you cannot download Apple Music to Wear OS watches.

Yes, you can download it through the Play Store on your watch.
Can you download playlists from Spotify Premium onto the watch?
No, however you can download playlists from the Google Play Music app.
You may control your music from the watch. You may not download or stream spotify playlists directly from the watch.

Hey there! Since our smartwatches do not feature cellular connection, you can answer/decline the call from your smartwatch, however you will need to take the call from your phone. You can connect your wireless earbuds to your phone to respond to the call and continue the call from your earbuds!
In regard to the flashlight function, after selecting the pre-loaded app, the face will light up, providing short range illumination.

Hello Chris. If your Gen 4 smartwatch is connected to an Android device, you will be able to make a call by using Google Assistant or through the Phone app on the watch. Please note that you will have to take the call on your phone or with Bluetooth speakers as the watch does not have a speaker. None of these videos show what really happens... the watch never appears on the phone to let you connect. EVERY TIME the battery dies the connection is lost and you're back to this mind F***. Thank God it was a gift. I wouldn't give a Fossil to my worst enemy.
