Thank you very much, Craig. Very detailed and informative. C96 Mouser, IMHO, is the coolest looking firearm ever. Unique shape. Very manly appearance. It’s iconic. It just projects power. I really love it as an art piece.
But compared with modern hand guns, it’s way too complicated. There are so many more parts, just like a puzzle as you said. I assume in real combat, it must be much more prone to malfunction. Thank you again for the great vid.

Great video! I have a very early “Red 9”. I have had mine certified by the Mauser Curator. Most of the Red 9s people see today are fakes, sadly. Instead of looking the entire firearm over to verify it’s a red 9 people like to just see the grips which tons of them are for sale on the usual places. Excellent tutorial!

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it. You are correct, a lot of fakes out there. This one is in 30 Mauser and a bit tired and from a "collectible" standpoint not really worth that much. I am planning on doing a refinish to it (clean it up, rust blue to original specifications and replace springs etc) to make it look nice. I know many purists will have a coronary but I never plan on selling it and it is "shooter" grade anyway, so I will make it like I want it.
