I switched from Glock to Sig about 3 years ago and couldn’t be happier. I’m a firm believer in shooting whatever platform you want. If you think a certain gun fits better and enjoy shooting it more then go for it. Brands don’t meant a ton to me.
Thank You Sir! I got the impression that the trigger in the Sig operates well and may increase your confidence while competing. Those efficient edits between shots did keep this presentation moving.
I'm biased toward Sig. I have bigger hands and it seems like Sig kind of caters more towards that aspect. I just basically like the grip and trigger a whole lot better. Thanks. Looking forward to part 2!
Hey X-Ring!! I compete with that exact P320 X-5. The trigger is fantastic. But, I wanted it even better, so I sent mine to Gray Guns. They did the P320 Competition Trigger install. They now sell the same parts as a DIY kit, but I preferred to have them install, polish and test it. To say I LOVE it would be an understatement!! Go with the P320. You'll love it. Oh, and for open, add some Springer Precision baseplates with laser etched numbers!

To me, it looks like you shot the Sig appreciably better. It's new to you and you're used to the other platform, yet the 25 yard group was better. That would be enough to convince me. Nice shooting, BTW! Your coming competition season is going to be fun to watch!
CZ Shadow 2! on Gun Broker they run less than $1200 with four mags... Also the trigger and history of winning competitions. @Honest Outlaw and @Albama Arsenal did great reviews (I love mine).
I think you are a pretty good shot regardless of handgun used. Being an old 1911 guy I can remember when .45 ACP was the go to cartridge for combat competition, ALL be it down loaded in power. Why is 9mm so popular now? I own lots of various handguns now including a new Sig 320( not impressed). I would consider a H& K or a CZ ( or a Sig P 226)way better in stock configuration than a Glock. What was your reason to narrow your selection process down to these two models. After completing with some super expensive custom guns, it must be hard to go back to a factory gun. Let's see the shot gun!!!
Ian Gordon Still waiting on the shotgun. 3 month wait on them after the deposit. 9mm is very popular in 3 gun because the power factor for steel is very low. Comes down to how many rounds you can fit in a 170mm length magazine. Quicker follow up shots as well.
That's some really accurate shotting by you there, I wish I could group my shots this tightly at 25 yards with one of my Glocks. Haven't tried this SIG, yet, but I know the SIGs and the CZs (especially the CZ SP01, which is probably my favorite semi auto ever) are very popular over here in Switzerland for IPSC. Did you consider trying out a CZ for this division or were you set on either Glock or SIG already from the start?
Don't Think it matters which one you choose .. I personally when with the Sig X5 just fits my hand better and find it a Joy to shoot .. i have converted all my 320's over to The X frame .. didn't own a 320 till i bought the X5 but i sure like Them Now
