My roommate & I felt the same way at the beginning cuz we thought we were doing something wrong w not having a solid friend group but over time, we met more and more ppl! (Although not in class either lol) So to any future first years reading this, dw too much, making friends takes time and becoming “close” doesn’t happen over night, you just gotta be patient & be open 💜💜
I really want to go to Western, but i’m still waiting on an acceptance for Kinesiology or Health Science 🤧. Can you do a video of what to pack for university?

Hi Marisa, I just stumbled across your video and channel and wanted to say I am so inspired by your honesty and vulnerability. I'm also from Vancouver, but go to Queen's, and I went through similar things where it felt I connected so much with people I met at school that coming home felt different and with more anxiety not seeing my people for 6 months, especially with the virus. However your video gave me strength and reminded me that everyone has a different story not just at Uni but at high school and life before as we all "peak" at different times. Thank you for your words

I've been searching for similar stories too and I think social media can be a positive place for that to happen, like your videos :) sometimes I definitely feel alone in my thoughts because obviously no one's stories are identical to each-other, but I learned that not everyone needs to. As long as people find the right people who are receptive to their thoughts and emotions, sometimes, that's all is needed :)
I'm starting to fill out my res questionnaire and I was wondering if I should be honest about my alcohol and drug info if I'm underage. Like I don't want to get in trouble for putting that I drink on weekends.
Do you know any international students and what their experience was like? Because I’m from Germany and I’m thinking about applying to Western next year but I haven’t found anything from internationals yet
my soph is from germany!!! as far as i can tell he’s just like any other student and made friends easily! ik he liked his first year at suageen bc that’s what made him want to be a soph in second.
Your videos are so helpful. Currently in junior year in Calgary and planning on applying to a lot of Ontario schools! Dream would be Western or Mcmasters HealthSci or Kines, do you have any advice on how to get accepted since you were also an out of province student? Are there a lot of out of province kids that you know?
hi! just make sure you’re keeping up with deadlines since there won’t be as many people around you reminding you of them like the ontario kids. there are so many out of province kids so i wouldn’t consider it a disadvantage, just try your best bc that’s all u can do! good luck 💖

Hi and thanks for watching! I liked how med sci was a little bit more specific can most general sciences programs. ofc it is a gen sci program for the first two years but the modules looked a lot more interesting and i liked the idea of being in a environment with a lot of other people who were thinking of the same career path as me! I also chose UWO for the distance it is away from my home in Vancouver, i really liked the idea of being more independent and i heard western had a great social life! kinda a bit of everything i guess and i'm glad i chose it :)
Hi :) I’m from dt Vancouver and am considering western for next year or ryerson. Do u think western is worth leaving the city environment (all my families in London/ surrounding so I’m familiar with the area and how it’s very diff from van)
yeah! i love the big city but considering my degree and that i have less time to go out and do the things i normally would in vancouver, london as a smaller city is perfect!

just be honest! it’s just so they can pair u w someone who is compatible
you def won't get in trouble be 100% honest bc some people on my floor were not compatible at all bc their answers weren't the truth

a lot of my friends are in the same fac but i have friends who aren’t either as well!

it changed every year but i had a high 90s avg!
