Great video - I’ve wondered how different these ships would be. That lounge at the back of Euribia looks absolutely amazing - a great idea to switch that venue into a lounge, rather than have wasted space when the shows aren’t running!
Hello Stacy and Kevin! I just got off the MSC Euribia 17 Feb 2024. Was in Yacht Club Royal Deluxe Suite, won an upgrade. I was on MSC Virtuosa December 2022, around the time you were there. Ths MSC Euribia was a cattle car on my trip. Coming from the U.S. I did not know it was mid time in English and EU Schools. Man the ship was crowded with families. Around 6000 plus people, very crowded. The MSC Virtuosa is still my lady. Seems more grand and elegant! Noticed many cut backs with MSC Yacht Club. Food was very dull in Yacht Club lounge. My wife meet me from Bangkok in London and we did the cruise. She had to ask some Yacht Club Butlers for some spices and chilies for her food. My wife enjoy the buffets more than the Yacht Club Lounge. MSC is cutting back a lot! The food on the Virtuosa was better in my opinion, more spices and flavors. My first Butler saw only once for 3 days. Apparently he was getting off the ship and did not care. My second Butler was from Indonesia. Saw her every day and she treated my wife so nice. I prefer cruises with less children because we have no children. Likely Yacht club has private areas. Again, 6000 plus is al lot of people to cruise with. MSC people work hard but for the amount of people they are serving! They need more help! All in all Virtuosa is my favorite! Did Champagne bar on Euribia. Expesive! Seem to me MSC Virtuosa had more room in all dining areas. Not sure if that is true. Just wanted to give you my recent experience. Thanks for your vlogging!
Great video! Very helpful. We did the uribia in November 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed the big band at sea experience, many of the other guests I spoke to had also done the virtuosa previously and commented pretty much on the same things that you mentioned We are now booked in for the virtuosa for later on this year , this time it will be a warmer weather cruise to Spain and Portugal, so I'm quite looking forward to spending more time outside than we did around the English channel your video guide has put my mind at ease and I'm looking forward to getting on board
Thanks for your reviews. ❤ Experienced the Virtuosa last year and I agree with the thoughts on the lack of seating in the Galleria. Got land trips this year but booked 2 cruises next year. Neither on MSC but always lovely to hear your thoughts & recommendations.
Hi Stacey and Kev. Very interesting comparison. Hope you're enjoying your current adventure. As always thank you for sharing your experiences with us. ❤❤
Thank you both... I'll let you know what I think.. I'll be on euribia on the 1st of March.. Was on virtuosa in November 22...but really looking forward to the carousel lounge! Enjoy your US trip!
Euribia is better, the carousel lounge does it. Last year we did 3 MSC cruises: Virtuosa, Fantasia and Euribia (at same time than you) and the main dining room menus where for most parts the same. Fantasia was 2 weeks cruise from Helsinki to Norway fjords and in that we had same menu for both weeks. Only difference I noticed: Fantasia had frog legs. One big improvement that you missed is that in Euribia they have buttons on buffet table that you call the waiter. They will come quickly and you get you drinks really fast. Huge improvement over trying to get someone to notice you. Virtuosa & Euribia both have "problem" that in main lounge there is live music, but there is very limited seating that you can enjoy that. Less that 10 tables. But even that is better with carousel taking some of the people. Sky lounge was our favorite place in Virtuosa. Its the same, but still felt better on Euribia. Carousel topped it, the big bad was great.
hi i think you were right euribia just won it for us but like you said food about the same standard and the pub was open at 2 🥳 keep it goin steve crewey
Arrr thanks so much, I have it coloured when I get it cut a few times a year but as red fades quick I also top it up myself in between with a similar colour 😁
Virtuosa by a significant margin. I enjoyed Euribia, but wasn't keen on the multiple port embarkation on the winter itinerary, making it feel a bit disjointed and a very different atmosphere. I do agree about the Carousel lounge on Virtuosa though. Taking into account the number of times Arkymea and Ajerdez are performed, it could be opened up a bit more aside from these productions.
Agree with your observation re use of carousel lounge - much better! We love our wines, so Helios is a much better use of space than the gimmicky robot bar that seemed a waste of space again on Virtuosa - Helios was definitely used more when we sailed on Euribia (Nov 2023). Yes, we couldn’t use our Premium Drink package there, but we could get a discount if we bought a bottle of wine there (there were some excellent wines there). We also had Aurea cabin experience on both ships. One of the “perks” is anytime dining. On Virtuosa they never opened up the separate “Aurea” dining room, but just allowed us to rock up to any MDR and skip the queue. On Euribia there was a separate restaurant (Il Campo) for Aurea guests, with its own galley on deck 7 next to champagne bar. We could walk in there any time and it felt much calmer and more intimate..almost like a speciality dining room. IMHO the food “seemed” to be a step up from Virtuosa MDRs in the Il Campo Aurea restaurant.
I liked the adults only bar was good on virtuosa but I did like carousel lounge on Euribia. However the euribia was too big for us they need more staff I felt the food wasn’t as good on euribia as the virtuosa

Thanks Fraser 👍😁

We love both Virtuosa and Euribia. But totally agree we loved the Carousel Lounge with the Big Band on Euribia! It had a great atmosphere ❤
Doing well! Caught a cough on the ship, everyone was coughing but doing ok back in Chicago! Thanks for all the great vloggs!

Hi last week on Euribia, the Masters was open at either 12 or 2 pm. They obviously listened to feedback!
That's good that they have now changed it

They need to open that lounge on Virtuosa so there are more seats during the day when 6,000 passengers on .
