Hubby and I did 3 weeks on MSC Euribia in January. It is one of the best cruises we have ever done and we’ve done 41 with Royal Caribbean, Princess and P&O. Fabulous ship, great crew and helpful staff, fabulous environment and excellent food. We will definitely cruise again with MSC.
My husband and I were on this cruise, too and like yourselves it was our first with MSC. 'Never again' We had same cabin as yours but ours was so noisy, it turned out to be under the buffet kitchens. There was no escape from it, i was at my wit's end. I Bearley got any sleep. And to top it all off, we got covid on board.
The Breakfast Buffet was carnage! One thing I don't want first thing is a) sitting on a 'bench' to eat my scoff b) within coughing distance of a stranger c) hearing continual crashing noises of cutlery being dispensed d) kids griping e) muusac noise over the PA and finally - general mayhem and queuing - Dig Deep Guys on the 'patience scale' as this one is possibly going to be a challenge
Not the calmest of ships and very few places (if any) to escape to. Surprised by the number of school age kids as no area in Europe had school holidays for the week we were onboard.
It was badly designed, we know they get busy during the main breakfast times but this was just ridiculous. We've been on another big ship that just had more food stations and space, also more alternative included places to eat. We know some people love MSC but this wasn't for us.
Loved the video. I've been on a few MSC cruises but mostly the smaller ships or the larger ships out of season and found them to be good value for money and very nice. However I was on Divina first week in September and despite the ship being lovely I had an experience very similar to yours. Just too many people for the ship definately a case of pack em in sell it cheap on that one.
We went early to breakfast buffet at the back for made to order omelette, so good and no one around. You can also go to sit down restaurant breakfast. We had no problems with the tv and absolutely loved our Euribia cruise
Hello from the States. WOW, another cruise. I was expecting a video about your adventures in the Caribbean. Did I miss that one? Not really a cruise person but I enjoy watching you and Mel’s adventures on the high seas. You and Mel should take a breather and relax over the holidays. Then you can start the new year off with a nice pub lunch and a walk around a castle. Anyway, enjoy the holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Looking forward to some pub lunch, walking around Wales and other travel videos in 2024. Stay safe and be well.
Hi, there are more Caribbean vids to come. We wanted to get these vids out first (before Christmas ) as they are about visiting the Christmas markets. We are going to a small place in West Wales over Christmas for a rest. Happy Christmas and have a good new year, thanks for watching.
Last year I went on a Norwegian cruise it was also crowded at the buffet restaurant and noisy. If we can't find seats inside we had to sit outside. It was November time and a bit cold .but not freezing like in your trip. Anyway I like cold weather. I'm traveling again on euribia also but taking precautions. Choosing my room away from noises.
Just returned from a trip onboard the Euribia and I too got food poisoning. As you say, the ship is too big - and by all means have the people on board, but there needs to be better management of the buffet. It was like a rugby scrum.
Thanks for watching. It wasn't our intention to give a bad review and at the start of the video we were quite positive. But after this experience we definitely won't be booking again.
M & M We've been waiting patiently for the Caribbean cruise. Hope your going post it soon. We done this cruise last year and thoroughly enjoyed. Hope you have a good one.
Some TH-camrs were complaining about the Marketplace buffet too crowded, no seats on the MSC EURIBIA. For the ship that big (>6,000 passengers), they should have more than 1 buffet restaurant.
We really enjoy your videos, we saw you and Mel on P&O Britannia last July when we went to the Fjords. MSC doesn’t look like our cup.of tea, think.we will stick with P&O !
My recent voyage on the MSC Euribia fell far short of expectations. While a cruise should be a time of relaxation and exploration. The most significant disruption was the unrelenting noise on Deck 14. A room change wasn't an option. This constant disturbance significantly detracted from the enjoyment of the entire cruise. Adding to the frustration was the lack of responsive service when encountering problems. Situations that should have been addressed promptly were met with apathy and a sense of being brushed aside. To make matters worse, upon reviewing my credit card statements after the cruise, I discovered unauthorized charges. Needless to say, this incident eroded any remaining trust I had in the MSC Cruises operation. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the combination of these issues paints a disappointing picture. Based on this experience, I can confidently say that this will be my first and last cruise with MSC.
I can see why, we won't be doing MSC again. I don't know if you've seen our video of our transatlantic cruise on P&O Arvia. That was a big ship but there was so much more space and no queues getting on and off.
@@andreaontour8961 it was lovely, but I’d 100% choose Royal Caribbean because most of the things on MSC you had to pay for but apart from that it was very nice, I loved the teens club and the theatre shows are worth watching!
After watching your great vlog MSC really need to get their act together same on Virtuosa it is not on we didnt eat for 24 hours , like you say greedy packing the ship out its actually dangerous!
It was busy most of our visits, I suppose it wasn't that busy at 11 but then it's not really breakfast. Having been on another big ship, in our opinion the area on this ship was badly designed and not big enough. Other people may have had a different experience but we won't be rushing back to MSC.
Just catching up with your MSC cruise, so far it doesn't seem brilliant. I'm betting you sailed on 1st December. We were sailing off on the Aurora as you were still docked at Southampton on that cold December day. As you filmed us sailing away I feel we should have waved out, but we were probably too busy eating in the Alexandria restaurant. We'll have to watch the next video but so far I'm thinking we'll stick with good off P&O.
We were previously on another big ship with adequate facilities and could manage the number of people onboard. This ship did not. It was badly managed, it's not just about the number of people if you don't run things properly.
@flydriveexplore you are definitely right. I went on the royal caribbean harmony of the seas which holds 7000 passenger and it was awesome! The ship is so big and spacious, everyone is spread out very nicely. The staff did an awesome job with controlling the crowds 👌🏾 👏🏾 👍🏾
I enjoyed your video and I would defiantly not be happy with crowds and queuing for food, not conjusive for a relaxing breakfast! I have watched your arvia videos too, are you doing a last video for your transatlantic journey ? We are going on Arvia in September for a Mediterranean cruise, it will be our first cruise. Keep up the videos.
Yes, there a few more Arvia Caribbean videos to come. Our Arvia trip was nothing like this, although a big ship, there were so many more places to sit and relax. As the MSC videos are about our Christmas Market trip I wanted them published before Christmas.
Hi Marcus awesome live video I enjoyed it. How are you doing? I'm doing well and so is my cat Benjamin he's big and happy. Are you ready for Christmas? I'm ready for Christmas. Have a great weekend see you next video 😊
Just got back from an MSC cruise..BTW MSC stands for Most SurCharges! Will never ever book with them again. Too many people for one buffet - an absolute bunfight! Also we never take a drinks pakage as we dont drink much alcohol, so we ended up with what they call "water and hot drinks" package. Hmm...just try to get a glass of water at any of the bars! They will charge you! Only place we could get water was in our assigned restaurant (when it was open!) Or the taps ...yea right water from the ships tanks ...hmmm no thanks!. Also, the only place to get a hot drink was the buffet! And the coffee was like bilge water. Couldnt get an after dinner coffee in the restaurant, told we had to get coffee at the bars (chargeable of course! ) dont get me wrong, please, i dont mind paying for water or a coffee but if its included in your package surely you'd expexct to get it (at least a little bit anyway.) Not trying to put you off, just go in with your eyes open! Back to P&O for us!
Oh dear. Could not cope with those crowds. I swear you can position the wheelchair away from everyone and within seconds a phone zombie walks right into me. Lovely ship that cold going around is a swine. There's one called the 100 day cough its rampant in Llanelli. A lot of youtubers in America have it also. Really hoping this weather improves Me and Mum want some of that Porthcawl air. Thank you both for the video Anniversary of dad's funeral and its worse this year so it's been nice zoning out.
Here we go again. Capacity and organisation are different things. Smaller ships can be disorganised and chaotic. Other cruise lines seem to manage the people on board far better. Really!
@@flydriveexplore That may be as it may but it was quite boring listening to your complaining already the very first day, hope the journey turned out better for you. Keep cruising, though!

Seems like a family type of crowd on 7-day cruise, quite different than the crowd (55+ or retired) on 14+day cruise on Arvia. //// Is he a gentleman? It's hard to tell, as he usually wears casual clothes in his videos and laughs a lot in them. If he always wears a suit, I'd say he is a gentleman or has the potential of being a gentleman. I can assure you that I am a gentleman, it takes more than a suit 😉. I was surprised by the number of (older) kids as all schools in the regions were still open, it was quite a few weeks before their official holidays.
Euribia looks awful. Cruising used to be about a relaxing, calm experience. This literally looks like a pontins at sea. Definitely not one I’ll be trying. It looks like a floating mass money making machine 😢
