Floor’s accent is Dutch. I think my favorite video she has on her channel is the one where she and Marko have a conversation about the possibility of life on other planets.
This is one of the reasons why most people resonate with Floor Jansen. Besides having an amazing and diverse voice, she’s so approachable and down to earth person. 💥💥💥💥

I've seen video of the band in the tour bus playing cards, and she's watching them while lifting a dumbell!

I love this woman SO much. For me, she represents all the woman on Earth, in a perfect mellow but very entertaining way. Her Storytime diaries, give me the same chills in my body and mind as her singing voice does. Just amazing, what a woman.
Floor has a southern Dutch accent. It does have a lilting quality like Irish. Her videos get better and better as she develops her style. Hannes, her husband is doing the video production. Freya turned 5 in March and Floor turned 41 in February. I like itvwhen her accent comes out. It's only the second one. Floor and Hannes are trying to do this. They get better as they get to 6.
It's so great you guys getting to know Floor on a personal level. Many of us mentioned to reactors Floor is an empath and you can see that as she talks about nature. She's really connected with nature and is very emotionaly tuned.
I know this is not the most exciting for you guys to react to, but it's a really cool insight into their life. 2 really busy metal musicians that find that balance of building a wonderful home, then blasting us with awesome music which takes them completly away from their family & home for weeks & months at a time; sacrificing that for all of us as well to earn a living. I appreciate it and love to see her joy as a payoff.
She was speaking Swedish which shes fluent in. Hannes does all of the editing and the filming. The solo work she mentioned are on hold. There are a few songs finished from that project but it wont be released for a few years atleast.
Jansen is pronounced Yansen, as in yacht (which is derived from the Dutch word "jacht"). The surname "Jansen" is extremely common in Dutchieland. The English speaking ppl have their "Johnson". Same thing. Jansen is derived from "Janszoon", and you can already see how the name is composed "Jan" (John Jan) + "s" (of, genitivus) + "zoon" (son).

Writing the album is giving her more trouble than she thought here, as she said in an interview. The songs didn't sound like pop. Finally she ordered a song with "Fire". So the original single is not by her. But she must have reworked it again, because it clearly sounds like After Forver and Nightwish. Fire sounds like she wrote it. After that she had a pattern of how pop works and wrote the others. Now she just has to find a place in the Nightwish calendar to release and promote the album. It won't be until next year and Tuomas is already working on the next Nightwish album. I'm curious when it will appear.

Remember her and Hannes are multi millionaires. She said she doesn't sing for the money now.. she wants to. She shovels horse shit when she could pay someone. Their house isn't a mansion either. She says it's all they need. In their recording studio. You'll see all these gold records on the wall from nightwish and sabaton, then you look and she's shoveling shit! So down to earth!
Well let's see.. multi to you uneducated means more than one. 2 people in 2 of the biggest bands in Europe, having toured for 20 years, selling millions (more than one again) of records. It's not too hard to believe Floor and Hannes have more than 1 million dollars to show for it!
