Vocal perfection is easy to find. So many vocally perfect singers out there. But noone has this rich sprinkle of spice on top of that like Floor. As I watch every little movement of every muscle in her face, of her breathing, her movement, I am amazed how she can control all of that to generate this very personal touch, this feeling of affection towards her audience, but also towards herself. You cannot sing like this if you do not basically love your audience and yourself.

Learning phonetics is an important skill for classically trained singers. The most important classical pieces are written in German and Italian, which obviously not everyone speaks. Floor is incredible, but she has so much more to offer than studying phonetics.
Floor is very famous and loved in Latin America where Spanish is spoken, this is a gift for all of us. We cannot believe that Floor is an unknown in her own country

It's the first time she sings in spanish. She made the typical little mistakes any non Spanish person makes when trying to speak spanish, like saying "estás muy buen" instead of "estás muy bien" (both words sound very similar and mean the same,"good", but are used in a different way), and the "j" in Spanish has a more raspy sound, like you have someting in your throat and when non Spanish people try to say it the do it in a softer way, anyway, small details, she did a great job.

Today, I hear this song in my language and I can say without fear of making a mistake that I have fallen in love with another great voice again. When angels sing, men cry. Thanks to Nightwish, I was introduced to this talent, but listening to her singing in spanish makes my jaw drops! She sang it like spanish was her first language! Incredible! This and "Winner" are my favorites from this TV show. She sang both with so much emotion!

I think you are exaggerating nobody in the Netherlands knew her. Most people who are into symphonic/progressive/power metal/rock know exactly who Floor is and what she is capable of. I think the first time I heard Floor was somewhere back in 2001/2002 when I heard the song 'My House on Mars' by Ayreon. At that time I didn't give it much thought but when I was watching the DVD Live on Earth by Star One at a friends place somewhere back in 2003 where Floor and her sister Irene were both on stage I was sold. After that I decided to give After Forever a try and I liked it but not as much as her performances in Star One and Ayreon. I've seen Floor live many times in Ayreon Revamp and Nightwish and I hope to see her live many times in the future :).
Whenever I‘m in doubt, sad, pensive or worrying about a thousand things. Or simply to enjoy. I come back to this. Watch Rolf‘s reaction and everything that‘s good falls back into place again. Back together. 2019, this show, changed everything. Forever.

Learning phonetics is an important skill for classically trained singers. The most important classical pieces are written in German and Italian, which obviously not everyone speaks. Floor is incredible, but she has so much more to offer than studying phonetics.

@@CavemanJesus4Life I know she can sing in Dutch, English, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and German, but she doesn't speak spanish at all and that's why this is impressive. It's the first time she sings in spanish. She made the typical little mistakes any non Spanish person makes when trying to speak spanish, like saying "estás muy buen" instead of "estás muy bien" (both words sound very similar and mean the same,"good", but are used in a different way), and the "j" in Spanish has a more raspy sound, like you have someting in your throat and when non Spanish people try to say it the do it in a softer way, anyway, small details, she did a great job.

Nightwhish vind ik een fantastische band die goed gebruik maakt van de bijzondere zang kwaliteiten van Floor.Het is toch te gek voor woorden, dat zij via beste zangers bekendheid in Nederland mag verkrijgen. En ik vind het bijzonder knap dat ze in de meeste uitvoeringen met een fleugje heavy metal zingt als het nummer het toelaat. Geweldig.

I think you are exaggerating nobody in the Netherlands knew her. Most people who are into symphonic/progressive/power metal/rock know exactly who Floor is and what she is capable of. I think the first time I heard Floor was somewhere back in 2001/2002 when I heard the song 'My House on Mars' by Ayreon. At that time I didn't give it much thought but when I was watching the DVD Live on Earth by Star One at a friends place somewhere back in 2003 where Floor and her sister Irene were both on stage I was sold. After that I decided to give After Forever a try and I liked it but not as much as her performances in Star One and Ayreon. I've seen Floor live many times in Ayreon Revamp and Nightwish and I hope to see her live many times in the future :).

Maar ook t intieme van liedjes kunnen zij goed vertolken (eigenlijk in al die seizoenen een TOP band). Ik denk zelfs dat ze live de artiesten van t ESF volgend jaar zouden kunnen begeleiden zonder enige moeite. Mee eens?

@@joelechat59 The whole band are great, and Floor actually mentioned the leader, Marcel Fisser, who does the guitar solos, in the interview she did on Dutch radio yesterday. Awesome of her to do that. Apparently he was quite instrumental (haha) regarding the arrangements for this one.

We are amazed, filled with joy, and many times brought to tears. Stay grounded, I have a feeling that the US is about to open it's arms to you and the Nightwish boys.
