Ruins of Ancient city of Debal AKA Bhambore, Muhammad Bin Qasim's victory, Love story of Sasi Punoo

I visited ancient city of Debal AKA Bhambore city, it's an archeological site situated in Thattha district in sindh province,
debal city is know about gateway of Islam, when an arab commander came in subcontinent to fight a Hindu ruler Raja Dahir, He conquered the Debal city in 712AD and built first mosque of subcontinent here,
debal city was established in 1st century BCE and its situated near Gharo Creek in Arabian sea,
this city was also famous with its name of Bhambore which leads to a famous true love story of Sassi and Punoo,
it's a great site to visit and one can easily reach there by their own car in 1.5 hours from Karachi, or by KCR train till Dahbeji Railway Station and then a 15 minutes auto ride till the Bhambore Museum,

A Hindu king gave his kingdom to Syed as gift.:- Rawal Bachuji (king of lodarva)had six wives , from whom he had six sons and two daughters.
Yuvraj Dusaji, he became Rawal after Rawal Bachuji.
Rajkumar Singhrao, his descendants became the fearless and loyal 'Singhrao Bhati'. He established Singhrar fort ((1050 Ad), eight miles away from Rohri (Old Aror)in Sindh Pradesh, which is now called Sanghrar .He had given this village along with twenty-four parganas in charity to the Muslim Syeds for Sufism. Till 1947 AD, all the villages of these parganas were with the descendants of these Syeds.

Fascinating history, I once spent three months in Egypt looking at sites that western tourists seldom, if ever, visit. The pottery, iron and ancient glass exhibits were great in the museum. Excellent work Faheem, very educational for me.

Interesting video. What is the exact date of this mosque? Wiki says 629 AD is the first mosque in the sub-continent). Is the entire place uninhabited now due to the river drying up eventually? Or there are people living close by and this place is archeologically preserved and so no people?
Museum has a treasure of information..Should be preserved with care.

@@SitesandSounds Ok. Wiki search says the first mosque was in 629 AD in the state of Kerala. I am thinking this is due to the already established trade relations to Europe through the Arab region and the Indian sub-continent. The then traders might have established the mosque. Bin Quasim's entry into the Sindh region is probably more from a political expansion of the kingdom.

محترم ملک صاحب برصغیر پاک و ھند کی پہلی مسجد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ مبارک میں ھندوستان کی موجودہ ریاست کیرالہ یا کیرلا میں بنی اسے بنانے والا پیرومل نامی اس علاقے کا بادشاہ تھا اور اس نے نبی کریم صل اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہاتھ پر اسلام قبول کیا تھا آپ کے ایک صحابی مالک بن دینار رضی اللہ عنہ اس مسجد میں ہی دعوت و تبلیغ میں مصروف عمل رہے یہ مسجد آج بھی موجود ہے اور اس کا نام مسجد شیرامان جمعہ ہے. بلکہ اس مسجد کا یہ بھی اعزاز ہے کہ جزیرہ عرب سے باہر یہ اسلام کی سب سے پہلی مسجد تھی. لہذا آپ کی بیان کردہ مسجد پہلی مسجد نہیں ہے بلکہ شاید اس کا نمبر ٹاپ ٹن میں بھی نہ ہو کیونکہ ھندوستان میں صحابہ آتے رہے ہیں اور بہت ساری مساجد 70 ھجری تک ان کا وجود کتب تاریخ میں ملتا ہے. معلومات میں اضافہ فرما لیں

Bhanbore masjid is one of the oldest in the whole world.
I was watching a video about Mecca and the Haram , the guy was trying to prove that real 🕋 Kaaba was in Petra . He came to Bhanbore and measure the direction of Kaaba and according to his calculations it pointed towards Petra not Mecca !!!
