Getting those high notes to sound cristal clear with tapping is really hard, and he makes them sound so beautiful they don't even sound like a guitar anymore. I'm so thankful for having the chance to be inspired by a musician of this calliber.

Compression man. Helps the volume sound more consistent with hammer ons/ pull offs and in general, tapping. 100% guaranteed that he uses a compressor. Don't get me wrong. He plays hella clean. But "getting those high notes to sound crystal clear" is done via using a compressor

Okay but we can we acknowledge the crazy good intonation and string action that guitar has to have in order for the strings to respond that way? Very minute. But the way his finger is so controlled in his movements is nothing short of extraordinary

You can hear the lack of dynamic in that all the notes are all almost exactly the same level, as well as the breaking up of the louder sections where the audio is being crushed by the compression. I mean, obviously that guitar is setup sweet and the playing is phenomenal, but without compression it would not sound half as polished as this.

It's more comfortable to tap with the right hand, you can play with both hands, left hand or right hand, there's no rule for that. But, to play with the "fret hand" only, it would require higher strength on the fingers because of the position you play.

Those 19th fret tapped Natural Harmonics at 0:45 were insanely clean, most impressive sesction for me I have been watching that section over and over in disbelief since its hard to get the harmonics at that position to sound so clean especially tapped like this. He must have set his action pretty high to stop any fret buzz since he is essentially playing like a slide guitar.

I've now listened to this 5 times in a row. This is just one of those things that you repeat not just because of the talent it takes to do it, but the melody itself is something I could listen to for hours on a loop. You use one finger and it sounds so full. Amazing.

@@MixolydianMode he might be good but he is not on ichika’s level. sure he’s fast but ichika’s faster. i can do his solos on acoustic, it’s not that hard compared to modern guitarists like tim henson n ichika.
