      I highly recommend watching ichika's practice video. Sometimes, while watching that video, I get motivated to really practice (and use a metronome lmao)

      He is fast but not so fast that you can't beat him...he is creative and that's what I love...even I can surpass him in speed if I practice day and night and there are way faster then him in fingerstyle like just for reference there is Marcin Patzralek or @Marcin and many more are there lol I forgot the names...

      @@_rami_745 I wouldn't say "cleaner". Easier? Louder? Yes. Takes less force bc the compression will bring up the quiet noises. That being said, it brings up a lot of ambient noises i.e. fret buzz.
      Compressors are very useful for tapping. I got a compressor pedal bc of ichikas style inspiring me to, but mine still don't sound that great :( it's really >75% technique with ichikas tone imo

      @@nicolas2225xD I think he does, but it is still definitely mostly his incredible technique that give him such a clean sound. You can definitely hear reverb and compression in his sound, but even with those things plebs like myself are far from ichika's tonal abilities

      Hey! I'm self taught myself; been playing for just over a year. I was inspired by Ichika, and I'm still nowhere near his level. Guitar is a lifelong process, so just take your time with everything. For starting off, I recommend using TH-cam, guitar tabs, and other things.
      Marty music is a great place to start.

      I broke my string tuning to tune the low E to a G. It was an old string, but trust me, it hurt when that happen. felt like I lost someone I care about.

    TH-cam has absolutely accelerated the level of proficiency of amateur guitarists. The bar is SO high now, at such a young age. And you can see players from the whole world, any time you want. Kids today have no idea how lucky they are.
