It was mainly used with folding paper, whether you fold it horizontally or vertically. (Describing this with a horizontal piece of paper btw) Hotdog is when you fold it horizontally, so the paper is long and skinny. Hamburger is when you fold it vertically, making it not long and skinny.

I need more of Michael explaining art made by Brodin. It was therapeutic, he has a way with words that help you understand by comparing what he sees to everyday events. Using photoshop as an actual example and his order of choosing which to explain first is great.

Actually makes sense,it is the orientation. Hotdog means board split up into 3 parts, the lines dividing are vertical. Hamburger means board split up into 3 parts, the lines dividing are horizontal. If you draw it up, especially if the middle part is a bit smaller, you can see it visually
@@michaelteddy4134 Interestingly, I was taught it as basically the opposite, where hotdog was horizontal as it would be split into more of a long shape, and hamburger was vertical for the opposite reason.
