every time people complain about Banjo-Tooie, they fault it's levels being "to big" as the biggest core/only issue with the game 41:51 "Vinny, would you do a hack of Tooie if someone made the level size more managable?" If Banjo-Kazooie had the same gameplay and mission design of Tooie, where you have to go to Mumbo, do a thing, go all the way back to his hut, switch to Banjo Kazooie, go to Humba Wumpa, turn into transformation, do a thing, go back to Humba, switch back, exit the world, go do a thing in the next world, go back to the previous world, split up and be Banjo, do a thing, switch to kazooie, do a thing, then reform, just to get one single Jiggie, and do that process for all ten Jiggies in every level..... would it still be as fun and a tightly knit experience of a game? of focking course not! and Banjo-Tooies levels are to big. give me a break- it's N64 hardware. the levels are larger than Kazooie, but they only exacerbate the issue, not it's the sole entire issue. so Banjo-Tooie with smaller levels would still be a frustrating and tedious chore of a game. that's not to say it's all bad and terrible, there's a lot of good in there. but it's not a fun game to complete, nor especially a game to replay. so I understand Vinny's hesitance.
I got so mad. Tooie is good, the levels have more content and characters, are more interesting and the transformations more interesting. The bosses are better and they managed to keep ALL the same abilities, completely subverting the reset trope a lot of game sequels do.
