All of Coheed's albums took a tremendous amount of creativity to accomplish, so they are all amazing. It's good to see them try something new after every album. The medley of different instruments they obtain is also great but the extra percussion guy they have now, isn't really necessary.... P.S. I miss Josh too but Chris has done a great job so far and deserves major credit.
Why thumbs down? He is speaking the truth. They need to do what will appease the fans, too, not just themselves. Neverender was their chance to open up and show us all what Coheed truly is--A great band with a ton of good songs that surpass Welcome Home. Mother May I? Amazing song. Will it ever be as popular as Welcome Home? Nope. No World for Tomorrow? Title track off the album, but The Running Free and Feathers are more popular. No World is much better in my opinion. Faint of Hearts? Amazing.
Ok, well i mostly agree with the guy who said it was better with the crowd getting into it... thats what it has always seemed like they thrive on when i've seen them
i didn't mean it was bad, it was still the best experience of my life and i loved it i just wish they did some stuff off of sstb or like the crowing or something
@SuperKkrriiss The drummer, Josh Eppard left the band for personal reasons. The Guitarist and the Vocals are still there along with the Bassist who returned after leaving, for personal reasons, also. They've got a new drummer, Chris Pennie, from a band called The Dillinger Escape Plan. I must say, he's a fucking beast.
No song will be as famous as Welcome Home to the people who do not LOVE Coheed and Cambria. The only thing about Welcome Home that makes it any better than any of their other songs is the fact that there are three times as many solos. Faint of Hearts and Al the Killer for life.
If you see Coheed now for a full set- Expect something like: No World For Tomorrow Gravemakers and Gunslingers A Favour house atlantic Junesong Provision/Cuts Marked Feathers Mother Superior Everything Evil/Devil In Jersey City The Running Free The Hound In keeping secrets Welcome Home Final Cut
i don't really think it's all about technicality of a song which makes it good. a song has to have a really solid groove throughout. for example, interpol doesn't write incredibly technical, but they really know how to groove and listen to each other-it's flipping amazing. simplicity can be really intense.
If he had sacrificed his art for money, he would have ditched Coheed when they went through that terrible time with Josh and Mic to spend more time on a solo project. I would have followed Claudio to the end, no matter what he worked on. If he had truly sold out, he would have known this and tried to make as much money as possible, putting out as much shit as possible knowing I would still buy anything. Everything he puts out, even that extra song he did in London during Neverender, is amazing.
i agree chris is technically insane but josh really fit coheed, and yea he's a great drummer, in fact i'd daresay he was a lot better then what he showed while with coheed, which was plenty to tell he's an amazing drummer.
Year Of The Black Rainbow was good, just not as good as any of their other albums. From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness and Second Stage Turbine Blade are their best ones if you ask me.
@MattyPoo52 Actually, Mic wasn't armed. He had a note on his phone saying he had a bomb and would use it if he didn't get the pills, which constitutes being armed - the fact he threatened a person's life with a dangerous instruments that he didn't really have. But he also fled in a taxi! Do you know how f*cked up somebody has to be do think such a getaway? Mic needs serious help.
Ok maybe Claudio at his prime but why do you say this is proof that Josh is better? The only reason its better because Claudio's voice is perfect but honestly i dont even notice a difference...
This is very dissapointing. I do give them credit for trying the lap steel, but they didn't get a good sound for it. And they really need Mic to be all over the backing vocals here; Claudio's struggling to get all of it in. Still though, it's cool to see one of the hidden gems of IV live.
Ok so just coz it's pop music it can't be good? bit of a chip on the old shoulder there if you don't mind me saying. plus tenspeed was released as a single and is terrible. i'm a fan of all the songs you mentioned that you liked but come on dude seriously, favour house atlantic is a tuuuuuuuuuune and blood red summer is kick ass too n bothof those are poppy singles. must agree though bit disapointed with the running free...
lol if i liked music soully on how difficult it is to play i'd like stuff like dilinger escape plan n quit frankly...thats just noise. plus that would mean deaming a load of simple pop songs, pour example early greenday, shit. you need the mix of technical AND songwriting which is why i love the coheed guys but i'm standing by my guns, tenspeed is not that great...
Prime Coheed right here.
This damn album...
One of my favorite songs. I wish they played it every once in a while.
wow, his hair is all fluffy...it's awsome...this is like one of my favorite songs by these guys.
Right on Claudio for holding the band together, and not to mention the amazing hair skillz he has.
All of Coheed's albums took a tremendous amount of creativity to accomplish, so they are all amazing. It's good to see them try something new after every album. The medley of different instruments they obtain is also great but the extra percussion guy they have now, isn't really necessary....

coheed and cambria is amazing. their music and lyrics is just so meaningful. gotta love it :D
nah josh didnt come back, this must have been taken a while ago, mic came back, and for that im very grateful:) coheed for life!
ive only seen them once and they didn't, but i defiantly want to go see them again some time

i wish i could see them in concert they rock

thnx for uploading this man :)
Mic is back :D. I think hes been back since like August or something.
@TheTwoThumbs Coheed needed a drummer, and Chris seems to be enjoying himself with the gang. Have faith :D
Ok, well i mostly agree with the guy who said it was better with the crowd getting into it... thats what it has always seemed like they thrive on when i've seen them
1. i never thought they would play this song.
2 claudio sounds sick i hope he was alright.
fav coheed song
the question is, how many more versions of this song are on you tube?...
hahahaha i love that comment! nice one! kiiler song by a killer band, heading to chicago to see the boys in may!
i dont care if this is the worst performance of coheed!! i love coheed!! one of the best band ever to walk on earth
i didn't mean it was bad, it was still the best experience of my life and i loved it
i just wish they did some stuff off of sstb or like the crowing or something

love the start
i swear Josh is the fucking besttt
Check out The Willing Well's and 2113. They have songs that easily rival the best RUSH songs.
No song will be as famous as Welcome Home to the people who do not LOVE Coheed and Cambria. The only thing about Welcome Home that makes it any better than any of their other songs is the fact that there are three times as many solos.
Faint of Hearts and Al the Killer for life.
they play the crowing and alot of SSTB stuff, like Junesong, DiJC, Everything Evil.
Ten Speed
The Suffering
In there somewhere too.
NWFT was a very good album. And if we're all honest, in keeping secrets and SSTB were nothing short of brilliance, just as GA:1 was.
thats!..awesome..if the love!!!
This song makes me feel happy.. hehe
awesome awesome!!
dude im gonna shave that guys head:P
He's using that and the Les Paul.
XD
If you see Coheed now for a full set-
Expect something like:
No World For Tomorrow
Gravemakers and Gunslingers
A Favour house atlantic
Junesong Provision/Cuts Marked
Feathers
Mother Superior
Everything Evil/Devil In Jersey City
The Running Free
The Hound
In keeping secrets
Welcome Home

I smell some on this coheed hatin guy
i don't really think it's all about technicality of a song which makes it good. a song has to have a really solid groove throughout. for example, interpol doesn't write incredibly technical, but they really know how to groove and listen to each other-it's flipping amazing. simplicity can be really intense.
I agree. chris is very good, but i dont think he is as "at home" as he was in dillinger escape plan where he was absolutely amazing.
AWESOME
Time were tough Kid's. LOL.
@supermanwjb9 so GLAD he BACK !!! QQ'ing tears of JOY !!!!
If he had sacrificed his art for money, he would have ditched Coheed when they went through that terrible time with Josh and Mic to spend more time on a solo project. @PassTheflask22 dude i totally agree i was there!!!!
i agree chris is technically insane but josh really fit coheed, and yea he's a great drummer, in fact i'd daresay he was a lot better then what he showed while with coheed, which was plenty to tell he's an amazing drummer.
wao!!!!!
so Fucking Stoked !!
@SchwartzO5 Josh also had drug problems and I think even worse than mike, travis is still part of the band just with short hair ;)
They gained chris pennie, a truly fucking great drummer if you've ever listened to Dillinger. He's a machine O_O
I think you mean Mic? Mic is bassist and Travis is Guitarist.
i miss josh!
Year Of The Black Rainbow was good, just not as good as any of their other albums. From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness and Second Stage Turbine Blade are their best ones if you ask me.
In keeping secrets bro? In.keeping secrets. Haha I respect your opinion. Just in keeping secrets was so dark and perfect for at that time in my life.
:( mic and josh look so burned out...sadly enough you can see why they left...i wish for josh to return but atleast mic is back :D
@MattyPoo52 Actually, Mic wasn't armed. He had a note on his phone saying he had a bomb and would use it if he didn't get the pills, which constitutes being armed - the fact he threatened a person's life with a dangerous instruments that he didn't really have. this isnt that great of a live song, but i love the way they started it
with just claudio singing and hes singin it in a lower key, sounds sick
this song is amazing
Wow. This is coheed at their prime.
they played it in de melkweg @ rotterdam
right dude it is fuckin awsome
your so wrong. Every song is great live. I should know. I went to those precious shows in 2008 in NYC.
ha this is the only song were there not great live, way better if i was there i imagine tho
ya i don't understand why you think this is bad, i mean its not the best but its pretty damn good, but thats just me.
Aaw, Claudio sorta bombed the vocals here & there. That's a pity... but I like the distanced ambient sorta sounds they created with their instruments.
Mic should've been back up vocals there.
It would've been better
at least they're arguing about something mildly intelectual
the video seem not to work
smoke weed everyday
Ok maybe Claudio at his prime but why do you say this is proof that Josh is better? The only reason its better because Claudio's voice is perfect but honestly i dont even notice a difference...
or maybe he should sing in his own band? and if u don't like them, then maybe shouldn't look up their video's on youtube? smart idea? ye, it is
thats exactly what i meant
its hard to hit all the high notes live same with the band Dragon Force the singers has a high voice and has trouble hitting the high notes :D
This is very dissapointing. I do give them credit for trying the lap steel, but they didn't get a good sound for it. And they really need Mic to be all over the backing vocals here; Claudio's struggling to get all of it in. Still though, it's cool to see one of the hidden gems of IV live.
they normally are just not in this performance
so greaaaaaaaat
I did a piano cover of this song, you should listen to it
me either and i wish i was there, it sucked, i saw them at bamboozle and they only played mainstream songs and it sucked
sounds like he fucks up on 1:10- 1:11
yea actualy this song is pretty easy to play and sing.
wow thats really weird.
Yeah, the only difference is that Coheed is actually a good band.
hooray that mic is back.
Kinda glad josh is gone.
Chris is a much better drummer, imho.
NWFT wasn't horriible, it was just a step down from FFTTEoM
Ok so just coz it's pop music it can't be good? bit of a chip on the old shoulder there if you don't mind me saying. plus tenspeed was released as a single and is terrible. i'm a fan of all the songs you mentioned that you liked but come on dude seriously, favour house atlantic is a tuuuuuuuuuune and blood red summer is kick ass too n bothof those are poppy singles. must agree though bit disapointed with the running free...

LAP STEEL OMG.
Ha, sounds like shit
But, i don't blame him playing it standing up is a chore
And having to switch to guitar fast is a bitch also.
Damn....Claudio doesn't do as much as I thought....
this song is pretty easy to play on rhythm guitar
they are fucking lip syncing!!! they sound the same as they do on the album!!...oh wait a minute no their not, they are just that fucking awesome!!!!
eh i dont thinks its that bad.
you clearly dont know what your talking about.
why do so many ppl have to believe in this chainmail shit.
lol
