This is very very close to being my favorite Coheed video. Just so raw and beautiful. Everytime i look coheed up on here, i end up watching this. As a musician, nobody's story is as inspiring as their's. I love them, and will always!
and what's cool about it is that he didn't start out on bass...he just picked it up for coheed...and now look how amazing he is, even through his trials with drugs he still remains the best
Go to google, and type in "youtube to mp3 converter" click on the second link, the DVD Video soft one. It works like a charm, I've been using it for about a month now. I've put so much live and acoustic Coheed stuff on my iPod, it's amazing.
the neverender tour they were alot more active on stage than in the past couple years. i think playing all their old songs again brought it back a bit, knocked off some of the rust
I think that at :09 seconds, it just shows what a great band this is. Right there when josh was trying to go into time consumer......Claudio just starts playing neverend, ..............they all look and pick it up from there. It was so flawless. Awesome i just saw them twice this year, cant wait for the third
dude....he droped his pick at 5:08...but he didnt react to it...that shows professionalism...then he went into like..BEAST MODE and tore it up...so real
Claudio sounds really good here!!! A lot of his other live performances, he doesn't really sound much like the albums, but here he does. Who's going to the Neverender shows?!?
@TheFireTongue They frequently did this (Time Consumer drum intro to Neverender). I have several full concert recordings of this period of Coheed, and they did it quite a bit.
LOL!!! Travis, he had no idea what Claudio and Josh were doing.... Just a testament to the musical talent each of these guys possesses. He just picked it up and it sounded great.
For sure. The new stuff I think is overall more polished, but what Second Stage lacks in the crisp editing category it more than makes up for in flat-out kicking ass. The drums on that record make my head spin. Love it.
i can't stand hearing people criticize them for progressing, and a gree with you that's what it is, but honestly there is just something about second stage. shit, I'd even say In Keeping Secrets. There's just a certain spark about them that the later ones don't have. I can't explain. Favorite Coheed song, hands down. 2:20 still gives me goosebumps
Did Claudio just mess up and go into Neverender on accident or something? Because it sounded like the rest of the band was playing Time Consumer, until they realized Claudio was playing Neverender and they adjusted.
I think that Coheed and Cambria has one of the best bassists. I love the way that he plays on stage, freaking out and moving around and such. But still, Claudio and his hair remain teh uber coolness.
During this tour, they would fake everyone out by starting to play Time Consumer and breaking immediately into Neverender. Great song. I actually saw them play the first time at El Rey in LA and Travis was so pissed off with his equipment that he stormed off the stage. Claudio, Mic & Josh stayed and played Neverender as a 3 piece. Classic!
Chris is really down to earth... and has a ton of good qualities... Although Coheed will never be the same without Josh, I think they found someone who fills the spot as best as possible.
@XBloodOnTheRoadsideX I think actually Mic, Claudio, and Josh were all in on it, because they all come in on the two hits at the beginning of Neverender. Travis is the only one left out. CLASSIC!
o, well i guess i shouldnt have said anything anyway, cause I have never been to a show, altho i plan on going to see them at the end of the month, i have only seen the starland ballroom dvd. where they dont get as into it. but yea, coheed is my fave band, evar
i wish claudio would do his crazy dances now a days now he just stomps and gets low but the that crazy jigg he used to do in the early videos was the shit!!!!!!! coheed forever!!!
@YouKilledAlan and casy grillo from Kamelot for double kick consistancy. Also the drummer from Into Eternity is great as well. hopefully you will enjoy these drummers as well :] Adem Carson from AFI is also very good with the Hi-Hat. I'm a drummer and they are all of my influences anyway.
there's a program for macs, i don't know if they make it for PC, called TubeSock, it cost 10 bucks but you can rip videos directly off of youtube and reformat them for ipod or as a regular .mov file... that's all i know of
Hmm, well I'll be. Never attempted to learn it, I just thought I saw a tab for it once and don't remember it being in drop D. Ah well. After I learn Hearshot Kid Disaster (which is a lot harder than it sounds) I'll probably learn Time Consumer. I want to learn SSTB in it's entirety. I learned GA1 all the way through and SSTB is my second favorite so I might as well!
are you sure they aren't tamas? i saw him playing this set in another vid, and he had a tama snare, but a lot of drummers have a various collection of different brand snares. they still very well could be an early tama set though.
Also, for non-guitarists out dur, I'd like to point out that Neverender and Time Consumer are in different tunings. If it wasn't planned, then it would be bad news bears.
I love these old videos of raw ass coheed in the early days. so awesome.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 So nostalgic
They did. They did that back in the day every time. For some reason, people still fell for it.
nothing will ever top Claudios early emo old soul delivery for me
This is my new favorite video these guys are befor their time
That was the best preformance of Neverender i've seen so far!!!! That is so awesome!!!! The crowd loved them so much even back then, its incredible.
NEVERENDER=BEST SONG EVER WRITTEN BY MAN
hot damn, I was at this show...thanks for the nostalgia
All the songs performed at the ottobar were perfect. absolutely perfect.
This is very very close to being my favorite Coheed video. Just so raw and beautiful. Everytime i look coheed up on here, i end up watching this. As a musician, nobody's story is as inspiring as their's. I love them, and will always!
Thank god. You've done a good thing by helping others understand.
back then, people still love them...long live Coheed
ive saw them three times in one week when they played in england this summer!
Amazing... best video ever
Man, this makes me so nostalgic. This is the Coheed I love and miss.
damn right, coheed and cambria is greatttt :).. great people, wicked band!
Holy shit I miss this Coheed. So, so much.
and what's cool about it is that he didn't start out on bass...he just picked it up for coheed...and now look how amazing he is, even through his trials with drugs he still remains the best
they amaze me, best band in all my 23 years to inspire me
I love this video.
these guys are such great musicians!
I heart Coheed
HELLS YEAH!!!!
-i love this song!!!
I agree, and I started listening when Good Apollo Volume 1 came out
Love this song, Love this band. No band can math Coheed and Cambria, their music should have it's own genre.
LOL didn't even catch that at first, at the beginning there.. i've seen coheed twice live but never seen time consumer =( C&C ROCKS!!!!!
OMG I wish I was there
yeah i love the story behind all there songs and i love claudios books
Awesome stuff! Thanks for the upload.
2:21!

man, i watch this video on a regular basis.. I'd pay money for the entire concert on DVD...
the neverender tour they were alot more active on stage than in the past couple years. i think playing all their old songs again brought it back a bit, knocked off some of the rust
lol, i just noticed that, i wish they would do that now, nothings better than a surprise
I think that at :09 seconds, it just shows what a great band this is. Who's going to the Neverender shows?!?
Amen to that
@TheFireTongue They frequently did this (Time Consumer drum intro to Neverender). I have several full concert recordings of this period of Coheed, and they did it quite a bit.
I wish they would play this song now.
Fucking so stoked for the 4/26 show at the electric factory, playing SSTB in its entirety! Can't wait to see this live.
This is one of the best Coheed performances out there. Except for the intro (which I'm not sure if it's intentional or not) this is flawless.
LOL!!! Travis, he had no idea what Claudio and Josh were doing.... Just a testament to the musical talent each of these guys possesses. He just picked it up and it sounded great.
This is probably my favorite song off of SSTB...i say probably because it's so hard to chose a favorite!
For sure. The new stuff I think is overall more polished, but what Second Stage lacks in the crisp editing category it more than makes up for in flat-out kicking ass. The drums on that record make my head spin. Love it.
sounds badass
i can't stand hearing people criticize them for progressing, and a gree with you that's what it is, but honestly there is just something about second stage.
shit, I'd even say In Keeping Secrets.
There's just a certain spark about them that the later ones don't have. I can't explain.
Favorite Coheed song, hands down.
2:20 still gives me goosebumps
I'm going! August 18th.
this is an awesome effing song
Did Claudio just mess up and go into Neverender on accident or something? Because it sounded like the rest of the band was playing Time Consumer, until they realized Claudio was playing Neverender and they adjusted.
they used to start neverender like that all the time. look at any other video of them playing neverender. there is one in the "related videos" section
In the related videos- you can see another performance where they do the same thing.
It's a fake intro to confuse the crowd, and it's great!
I think that Coheed and Cambria has one of the best bassists. I love the way that he plays on stage, freaking out and moving around and such.
But still, Claudio and his hair remain teh uber coolness.
Gallhint who’s gonna tell em?
During this tour, they would fake everyone out by starting to play Time Consumer and breaking immediately into Neverender. Great song. I want this file so badly...
dude I hear you man
@XBloodOnTheRoadsideX I think actually Mic, Claudio, and Josh were all in on it, because they all come in on the two hits at the beginning of Neverender. Travis is the only one left out. CLASSIC!
Back with Eppard April 29th. Ma birthday- can't wait Josh.
Who's on bass? Wes?
Please don't let him sing. Please
i really really agree with this, i loved this cd so much, the rest just isn't the same, it's not as emotional.
2:30 Best drummer alive. God, I miss him.
Zach Cooper is the new bassist for Coheed & Cambria
I would be in love with it. haha false hopes =(
@XJunesongXProvisionX It was Mic. Claudio only said "Yeah, thanks for coming out"
i only could have know in 2003 wow.
If they would play this live..I would wet myself.
Nah, they did this quite a few times with the Time Consumer drum intro around 2003. I think it was in the Tulagi shows also.
you know what im talking about though right, like as soon as the video starts you gotta listen closely.
@xtremejakes HELL YEA!!!
o, well i guess i shouldnt have said anything anyway, cause I have never been to a show, altho i plan on going to see them at the end of the month, i have only seen the starland ballroom dvd. where they dont get as into it. but yea, coheed is my fave band, evar
lol have you seen the upload date, they used to have the whole setlist loaded, some vids have gone missing though ;-(
i wish claudio would do his crazy dances now a days now he just stomps and gets low but the that crazy jigg he used to do in the early videos was the shit!!!!!!! coheed forever!!!
second stage turbine blade had to the best album i heard
The drummer started playing time consumer at the beginning.
Yeah josh was like oh shit wait neverender lmao he did it good though blended well
Im pretty sure they did it on purpose
@matthewsinist3r Chris uses the double pedal in only 3 coheed songs. and of course he can hi-hat roll check out the dillinger escape plan.
that was awesome, too bad it cut off :(
i agree
@YouKilledAlan and casy grillo from Kamelot for double kick consistancy. Also the drummer from Into Eternity is great as well. hopefully you will enjoy these drummers as well :] Adem Carson from AFI is also very good with the Hi-Hat. I'm a drummer and they are all of my influences anyway.
is it just me or does it seem like Travis is playing the opening rift to welcome home? and yes i know this is 03 and welcome home was released in 05.
pureist coheed.
I heart Cambria lol
all i know is, theres "Volume Two" in the name.
and, mic and josh are supposed to be back soon
This song is sooo fucking sick!!!!
I won't spoil it for anybody, but one of the last lines is a hint, but I won't say which one
i vote Rock Band Coheed and Pavement should be the next 2!!
Claudio is a beast.
there's a program for macs, i don't know if they make it for PC, called TubeSock, it cost 10 bucks but you can rip videos directly off of youtube and reformat them for ipod or as a regular .mov file... that's all i know of
ahh, gotcha man
Fuck me down... This is amazing
@ajesusgoat
you, sir, are a fucking genious....
Mm saw that. He sounds talented.
This song is actually in E standard in case you still care five years later haha
are you sure they aren't tamas? i saw him playing this set in another vid, and he had a tama snare, but a lot of drummers have a various collection of different brand snares. they still very well could be an early tama set though.
well he could be using it for another intro or outro like the one at the end of The Final Cut.
Just a thought
@Markle27 did u see them when they did it aswell?
michaels back now though! wooooooo,
@LaTensiFy what you mean when they were good ? they still kick ass dude .
true that
OMG! Did he lose his pick!? Damnnn I'm impressed..that was awesome!!!
Also, for non-guitarists out dur, I'd like to point out that Neverender and Time Consumer are in different tunings. If it wasn't planned, then it would be bad news bears.
0:10 Travis and josh are both like "wtf?" haha
